HOSE CLAMP WITH SLEEVE

This invention relates to a a hose clamp with sleeve, which includes a clamp and a sleeve as main components combined together. Said clamp made of metal material, wherein said clamp is provided with a band, there is a joint member and a telescopic tightening component set on both ends of said band. Said sleeve covering on the outer surface of said clamp, wherein said sleeve is made of elastic material. The sleeve can be made integral with the band and the telescopic tightening component of the clamp, or the sleeve can be an independent structure. Therefore, the a hose clamp with sleeve has the structural strength of metal and the elastic sleeve can be used for a buffer between the metal clamp and the metal hoses to provide the effect of shock absorption and anti-slip, and the elastic sleeve also can be used for solving the problem of friction, scratch and noise generated by the metal clamp directly contacts with the metal hoses.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

A hose clamp with sleeve of present invention is applied to bind tubular casings, particularly referring to a metal clamp has an elastic sleeve covered on its outer surface, to make the clamp can be used for achieving the effect of anti-slip, abrasion resistance, sound dampening, shock absorption, and impact resistance, when binding an abstract/object (tubular or non-tubular) to the tubular casing.

DESCRIPTION OF RELATED ART

A conventional hose clamp, as disclosed in a Taiwan publication Number 200537049, titled “the hose clamp”, is to have a metal hose clamp combined with a housing, bolt and band. When the metal hose clamp is applied as a binding mechanism, there will be frictional contact between the casing and metal clamp resulting in abrasion and existential future damage. Because of the metal material having no-elastic properties, it is less impact resistant and susceptible to damage if struck by a foreign object. If improperly applied the casing can be pinched or deformed if the clamp is over-tightened—or conversely, if the clamp is under-tightened the casing can move resulting in deformation and possible breakage of one more pieces in the system. Moreover, when the metal clamp is used for a vehicle's hydraulic suspension system, the vibration generated from the vehicle will cause rubbing on the contact surfaces between the metal hose clamp, hydraulic shock casings, resulting in friction-based noise.

For these reasons, the inventor with cumulative years of experience in the design and manufacturing of related products, studied the problems of aforementioned hose clamp structure for this invention.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hose clamp with sleeve, which includes a metal clamp with a elastic sleeve covered on the outer surface of the clamp, so that the hose clamp has the structural strength of a metal hose clamp and the elastic sleeve used as a buffer between the metal clamp and the tubular casing (expecially for metal tubular casing) to provide the effect of shock absorption, and the elastic sleeve also can be used for solving the problem of friction control, scratch(s) and noise generated by direct contact between the metal clamp and tubular casing. In addition, the elastic sleeve will not be pinched deformation and separated from the metal clamp, and the metal clamp inside the elastic sleeve can be used for achieving the effect of corrosion protection.

In order to reach the aforementioned purpose, the present invention of the a hose clamp with sleeve at least includes a clamp and a sleeve as main components combined together. Said clamp made of metal material, wherein said clamp is provided with a band, there is a joint member and a telescopic tightening component set on end of said band. Said sleeve covering on the outer surface of said clamp, wherein said sleeve is made of elastic material. The sleeve can be made integral with the band and the telescopic tightening component of the clamp, or the sleeve can be an independent structure in a form of a sleeve or wrap.

The a hose clamp with sleeve of present invention, among which said sleeve has a band sheath and a housing sheath corresponding to the band and the telescopic tightening component individually, the housing sheath set with a spacing to put the end of the joint member of the bending band therein and to fix the joint member inside the band sheath.

The a hose clamp with sleeve of present invention, among which said joint member can be a plurality of grooves, holes or a spline. And said telescopic tightening component can be composed of a joint housing and a bolt.

The a hose clamp with sleeve of present invention, among which said sleeve can be made of the plastic (such us polyethylene) or the rubber.

The a hose clamp with sleeve of present invention, among which the length of said housing sheath can be large than the length of the telescopic tightening component to make the telescopic tightening component completely be covered inside the housing sheath.

The a hose clamp with sleeve of present invention, among which said sleeve can be provided with a plurality of grooves on the outer surface of the band sheath, and the sleeve also can be set with a decorative layer on its outer surface for product markings, pattern design or trademarking.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

A first preferred embodiment of a a hose clamp with sleeve in the present invention, as shown in FIGS. 1-12, includes a clamp 1 and a sleeve 2 as main components combined together.

The clamp 1 made of metal material, wherein said clamp 1 is provided with a band 10, there are a joint member 11 and a telescopic tightening component 12 set on both ends of said band 10, so that when bending the band 10 into a circle, the joint member 11 will be inserted inside the telescopic tightening component 12 and the joint member 11 will be telescopic adjustment and fixed by the telescopic tightening component. Said telescopic tightening component can be a worm gear structure or a quick release latching system. According to the requirement, said joint member 11 can be a plurality of grooves or holes (as shown in FIGS. 1, 7, 8 and 12), or a spline, and said telescopic tightening component can be composed of a joint housing 120 and a bolt 121.

The sleeve 2 is made of elastic material, such as the plastic or the rubber, which is all depending on the different requirement to choose the most appropriate materials. For example, we can choose the rubber as the material of the sleeve 2 if we want to reduce the friction of clamp 1. On the other hand, we can choose the polyethylene as the material of the sleeve 2 to improve the impact/scratch resistant of the clamp 1. According to the requirement, said sleeve 2 can be made integral with the band 10 and the telescopic tightening component 12 of the clamp 1 and to be directly covered thereon (not shown in the drawings), or the sleeve 2 can be an independent structure to encase the band 10 and telescopic tightening component 12 of the clamp 1 in sleeve 2 (as shown in FIG. 1). So that, the sleeve 2 will not be easily pinched deformation and separated from the clamp 1, and the clamp 1 inside the sleeve 2 can be used for achieving the effect of rust protection.

Said independent sleeve 2 has a band sheath 20 and a housing sheath 21 corresponding to the band and the telescopic tightening component 12 individually, the housing sheath 21 set with a spacing 200 to put the end of the joint member 11 of the bending band 10 therein and to fix the joint member 11 inside the band sheath 20 (as shown in FIGS. 10 and 11), and the length of the housing sheath 21 can be large than the length of the telescopic tightening component 12 to make the telescopic tightening component 12 completely be covered inside the housing sheath 21 (as shown in FIG. 7).

As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the sleeve 2 can be provided with a plurality of grooves 22 on the outer surface of the band sheath 20 to avoid the band sheath 20 made of harder or denser materials to be compressional deformation or rupture when the band sheath 20 is conforming around a radius. Moreover, in order to add the visual aesthetics and practicality of the sleeve 2, the sleeve 2 also can be set with a decorative layer 23 on its outer surface for the user can mark the product description, pattern design or trademarking on the decorative layer 23. Said decorative layer 23 can be a three-dimensional pattern or a printing.

As shown in FIG. 12, when the a hose clamp with sleeve of the present invention is applied in the hoses 3 of the shock absorber, this clamp with the structural strength of metal will not be directly contacted with the metal hoses 3, but using the elastic sleeve 2 to be the buffer to contact with the hoses 3, and the end of the joint member 11 of the clamp 1 can be directly inserted into the space 200 of the band sheath 20 of the sleeve 2 to sufficiently cover the metal clamp 1. So that, the a hose clamp with sleeve can be used for achieving the effect of high strength, anti-slip, shock absorption, aesthetics and corrosion protection by using the elastic sleeve 2. Furthermore, the elastic sleeve 2 also can be used for solve the problem of friction, scratch and noise generated by the metal clamp 1 direct contact with the metal hoses 3.

While the preferred embodiments of this invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein and appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications that may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.

Claims

1. A a hose clamp with sleeve at least comprising:

a clamp made of metal material, wherein said clamp is provided with a band, there are a joint member and a telescopic tightening component set on both ends of said band, so that when bending the band into a circle, the joint member will be inserted inside the telescopic tightening component and the joint member will be telescopic adjustment and fixed by the telescopic tightening component; and
a sleeve covering on the outer surface of said clamp, wherein said sleeve is made of elastic material, and said sleeve has a band sheath and a housing sheath corresponding to the band and the telescopic tightening component individually, the housing sheath set with a spacing to put the end of the joint member of the bending band therein and to fix the joint member inside the band sheath.

2. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said joint member can be a plurality of grooves or holes.

3. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said joint member is a spline.

4. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said telescopic tightening component is composed of a joint housing and a bolt.

5. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said sleeve is made of the plastic or the rubber.

6. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said sleeve is made of polyethylene.

7. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein the length of said housing sheath is large than the length of the telescopic tightening component to make the telescopic tightening component completely be covered inside the housing sheath.

8. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said sleeve is provided with a plurality of grooves on the outer surface of the band sheath.

9. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 1, wherein said sleeve is set with a decorative layer on its outer surface.

10. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 9, wherein said decorative layer can be a three-dimensional pattern or a printing.

11. A a hose clamp with sleeve at least comprising:

a clamp made of metal material, wherein said clamp is provided with a band, there are a joint member and a telescopic tightening component set on both ends of said band, so that when bending the band into a circle, the joint member will be inserted inside the telescopic tightening component and the joint member will be telescopic adjustment and fixed by the telescopic tightening component; and
a sleeve made integral with the band and the telescopic tightening component of said clamp and to be directly covered thereon, wherein said sleeve is made of elastic material.

12. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said joint member can be a plurality of grooves or holes.

13. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said joint member is a spline.

14. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said telescopic tightening component is composed of a joint housing and a bolt.

15. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said sleeve is made of the plastic or the rubber.

16. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said sleeve is made of polyethylene.

17. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said sleeve is provided with a plurality of grooves on the outer surface of the band sheath.

18. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 11, wherein said sleeve is set with a decorative layer on its outer surface.

19. The a hose clamp with sleeve according to claim 18, wherein said decorative layer can be a three-dimensional pattern or a printing.
