Thus, a first element discussed below could be termed a second element without departing from the teachings of embodiments. As used herein, the term “or” includes any and all combinations of one or more of the associated listed items.

Please refer to FIG. 1 which shows a ceiling fan of the present invention. The ceiling fan includes a mounting member 10, a motor 11 and a fan, wherein the fan includes a plurality of fan blades 12. The mounting member 10 is hung on a ceiling, and the motor 11 is pivotally connected with the mounting member 10. In this embodiment, the motor 11 is an outer rotor motor and its outer shell member is a rotatable rotor. The fan blades 12 are connected with the motor 11 to be driven to rotate.

A cover 13 is disposed at a bottom end of the mounting member 10, and defines a receiving space to receive and cover the motor 11. On the other hand, a controlling device is received inside the cover 13 and electrically connected to the motor 11. The controlling device includes a switch module 2, a circuit board for circuit communication (not shown in figures) and electric wire 31, and can further include other electronic component if necessary. The cover 13 has a hole 131, the switch module 2 is exposed out of the hole 131 to be operated by the user.

Please refer to FIGS. 2 through 4. In this embodiment, the switch module 2 includes a switch 21, a circuit board 22, a wire connecter 23 for connecting the electric wire, and an outer shell member 24. In detail, the switch 21 and the wire connecter 23 are respectively disposed on the circuit board 22. The circuit board 22 is provided with circuits to establish electric connection between the switch 21 and the wire connecter 23. The wire connecter 23 is a device for facilitating electric wire connection. In this embodiment, the wire connecter 23 has a plurality of insertion holes 231, and the electric wires (not shown in figures) from the controlling device can be inserted into the insertion hole 231 to be firmly and electrically connected to the switch 21 via the circuit board 22, so that the controlling device can be controlled by the switch 21.

The outer shell member 24 is formed by a first shell body 241 and a second shell body 242. The first shell body 241 has an opening 243 at a side thereof and a first hole 244 located at other side thereof. The first shell body 241 has a first engagement part 245 and a second engagement part 246 respectively disposed at inner surfaces thereof. The second shell body 242 is a plate having an area smaller than that of the opening 243, and the second shell body 242 is fastened with the second engagement part 246 to be combined with the first shell body 241. The opening 243 is blocked by the second shell body 242 to form a second hole 247.

On the other hand, the switch 21, the wire connecter 23 and the circuit board 22 are packed in the outer shell member 24. The circuit board 22 is fastened with the first engagement part 245 of the first shell body 241 to be firmly fixed. The wire connecter 23 is exposed out of the first hole 244, and the switch 21 is exposed out of the second hole 247.

In addition, in this embodiment, the first shell body 241 has an indicating structure 248 located thereon and correspondingly to the wire connecter 23, to indicate the connection location for the electric wire. In the present invention, the type of the indicating structure 248 is not limited to the type described in the embodiment, and the indicating structure 248 can be implemented by color, pattern, symbol, character or concave-convex-shaped structure, to enable the assembly personnel to recognize the electric wires respectively corresponding to the insertion holes 231 of the wire connecter 23, so as to decrease technical difficulty in connecting the electric wires and reduce wire misconnection.

In aforesaid embodiment, the switch 21 can be used to selectively operate the action modes of the ceiling fan, but the present invention is not limited thereto. As the switch 21 has more kinds of operation, more amount of the electric wired connected to the switch 21 is increased. By means of disposing the indicating structures 248 on the wire connecter 23 and the outer shell member 24, the connection operation for the electric wires can be simplified, so as to improve the efficiency of assembling the ceiling fan of the present invention and reduced the problem of low product yield rate caused by wrong connection of the electric wire.
