TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a package for a product, particularly a package having a bag and a protective unit attached thereof, and more particularly a package for a shoe having a mildew-resistant bag and a protective unit attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position.

DISCUSSION OF THE BACKGROUND

When manufacturing of a product is accomplished, the product would proceed to a packaging process. Packaging provides an essential function in which it protects and prevents the product from damages upon transportation, distribution, warehousing, logistics, storage, sale or use. The product can be packaged in a box made of various materials such as paper, plastics, cardboard or other materials.

In shoe packaging, a pair of shoes is often packaged in a cardboard box. The shoes are first wrapped by a packaging paper and then placed in the box. The packaged shoes are transported to a warehouse for logistics or a store for sale. However, such a form of packaging presents numerous disadvantages or problems. For example, mildew or mold can easily grow inside the box, especially during transportation or warehousing of the box. The shoes are not completely isolated from the surroundings by the box, and therefore adverse environmental conditions such as high temperature or high humidity would affect the conditions inside the box. High temperature or humidity would promote a growth of mildew inside the box, which would then deteriorate the shoes. As a result, shoes manufacturers would suffer loss or indemnity to customers.

Although a technology of vacuum packaging can be implemented by squeezing moisture or air out of the box to prevent the growth of mildew on the shoes, the box would collapse and shrink after squeezing out the moisture or air, and the shoes would be impaired. Thus, there is a continuous need to modify the package for a product in order to overcome associated problems.

SUMMARY

One aspect of the present disclosure provides a package comprises a bag for holding a shoe and a protective unit for protecting the shoe from moisture or mildew, wherein the protective unit is disposed inside the bag and attached to a predetermined position of the bag.

Another aspect of the present disclosure provides a package for a shoe having a mildew-resistant bag and a protective unit attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position.

A package, according to this aspect of the present disclosure, comprises a mildew-resistant bag including a chamber for holding a shoe, and a protective unit for absorbing moisture or resisting mildew, wherein the protective unit is disposed in the chamber and attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position.

It should also be realized by those skilled in the art that such equivalent constructions do not depart from the spirit and scope of the disclosure as set forth in the appended claims.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The following description of the disclosure accompanies drawings, which are incorporated in and constitute a part of this specification, and illustrate embodiments of the disclosure, but the disclosure is not limited to the embodiments. In addition, the following embodiments can be properly integrated to complete another embodiment.

References to “one embodiment,” “an embodiment,” “exemplary embodiment,” “other embodiments,” “another embodiment,” etc. indicate that the embodiment(s) of the disclosure so described may include a particular feature, structure, or characteristic, but not every embodiment necessarily includes the particular feature, structure, or characteristic. Further, repeated use of the phrase “in the embodiment” does not necessarily refer to the same embodiment, although it may.

The present disclosure is directed to a package for a shoe having a mildew-resistant bag and a protective unit attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position. In order to make the present disclosure completely comprehensible, detailed steps and structures are provided in the following description. Obviously, implementation of the present disclosure does not limit special details known by persons skilled in the art. In addition, known structures and steps are not described in detail, so as not to limit the present disclosure unnecessarily. Preferred embodiments of the present disclosure will be described below in detail. However, in addition to the detailed description, the present disclosure may also be widely implemented in other embodiments. The scope of the present disclosure is not limited to the detailed description, and is defined by the claims.

Upon packaging of a product, the product is packaged into a bag so as to isolate the product from the environment. Also, a protective unit is placed inside the bag in order to maintain the product in a dry condition or free from mildew, and thus avoid a growth of mildew or mold during transportation or storage of the product. When the product arrives at a retail store or is sold to a customer, the package of the product would be removed by a salesperson or customer. The bag would be opened and the product can be obtained from the inside of the bag. Since the protective unit is freely or loosely placed inside the bag during packaging, often times the protective unit is also obtained from the inside of the bag. However, the protective unit usually contains compositions such as limestone, calcium oxide or other substances which are detrimental to human health. It can be very dangerous if a baby or a child obtains the protective unit from the bag and mistakenly ate the protective unit.

In the present disclosure, a package with improved configuration is disclosed. The package includes a bag for holding an object and a protective unit for absorbing moisture or resisting mildew. The protective unit is attached to the bag at a predetermined position.

Such configuration of the package can enable the protective unit to avoid being obtained from the bag. As such, the protective unit would not be easily accessed or mistakenly eaten by a baby or a child. Furthermore, particularly from the shoe manufacturers' point of view, since the protective unit is attached at a predetermined position, a person (e.g. production line staff or quality inspection staff) would be readily able to visually inspect and determine whether the protective unit has been inserted into the bag and/or placed at the predetermined position of the bag. As such, a disappearance of the protective unit due to negligence could be avoided, and thus the object (e.g. a shoe) inside the bag can avoid being impaired by moisture or mildew.

FIGS. 1-3 are schematic views of a package 100 in accordance with some embodiments of the present disclosure. The package 100 includes a bag 101 and a protective unit 102. In some embodiments, the bag 101 is made of plastics or any other suitable material. In some embodiments, the bag 101 is a mildew-resistant bag 101 which is configured to resist a growth of mildew or mold therein. The mildew-resistant bag 101 can protect an object 103 therein from becoming damp and generating mildew. The mildew-resistant bag 101 is not permeable to air or moisture. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is waterproof in that water or moisture cannot pass therethrough. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is decomposable or biodegradable.

In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 may be opaque, transparent or semi-transparent. In some embodiments, an object 103 inside the mildew-resistant bag 101 can be seen through the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is made of plastic, waterproof fabric, a decomposable or biodegradable material such as polylactic poly lactic acid (PLA), or any other suitable material. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is configured to hold a shoe as illustrated in FIG. 1. However, it can be understood by a person of ordinary skill that other kinds of objects can also be held by the mildew-resistant bag 101 and thus are within a scope of the present disclosure. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes a chamber 101a. The chamber 101a is configured to hold the object 103, such as a shoe. In some embodiments, the chamber 101a is defined by a sidewall of the mildew-resistant bag 101.

The package 100 includes the protective unit 102. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to protect the object 103. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to protect the object 103 from moisture or mildew. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 protects the object 103 from damage by moisture or mildew such that the object 103 can be maintained in a good condition.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 includes a desiccant or drying agent. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to absorb moisture. The protective unit 102 can absorb water or vapor in the air.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 includes an anti-mildew tablet or anti-mold chip. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to resist or attack mildew. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to prevent or inhibit a growth of mildew inside the mildew-resistant bag 101.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is configured to absorb moisture and attack mildew. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 includes the desiccant and the anti-mildew tablet. Thus, the object 103 inside the mildew-resistant bag 101 would not be damaged by moisture or mildew.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is disposed inside the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is disposed in the chamber 101a.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101 at a predetermined position. For example, the protective unit 102 is attached to a bottom of the mildew-resistant bag 101 as shown in FIG. 1, a corner of the mildew-resistant bag 101 as shown in FIG. 2 or a side of the mildew-resistant bag 101 as shown in FIG. 3. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101 by an adhesive, a tape, a fastening means, hook and loop fasteners (Velcro), male and female buttons or any other suitable means. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is permanently or fixedly attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101. The protective unit 102 is not detachable from the mildew-resistant bag 101. As such, the protective unit 102 would not be easily retrieved from the mildew-resistant bag 101. Therefore, the protective unit 102 would not be easily accessed or eaten by a baby or a child.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 includes a humidity indicator for indicating an amount of moisture being absorbed. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 includes any combination of the desiccant, the humidity indicator or anti-mildew tablet.

In some embodiments, the desiccant can be silica gel, bentonite, limestone or other materials. Further, the desiccant may be made of a material that can absorb moisture and change color according to the amount of the absorbed moisture. In some embodiments, the anti-mildew tablet includes mercury salts, copper salts, tin salts, inorganic sulfate, mercuric chloride, sodium fluoride, ethanol, or other materials. Further, the anti-mildew tablet may be made of a material that can attack mildew or inhibit a growth of mildew. In some embodiments, the humidity indicator can be cobalt chloride, ferrous sulfate, copper chloride or ferric ammonium sulfate. It should be noted that materials of the desiccant, the anti-mildew tablet and the humidity indicator are not limited to the aforesaid disclosures, and may be replaced by other materials which can achieve the same effects.

In some embodiments, the package 100 includes a pocket 104 for receiving the protective unit 102. The protective unit 102 is held by the pocket 104 as shown in FIGS. 4-6. FIGS. 5 and 6 are enlarged views of the protective unit 102 and the pocket 104. FIG. 5 illustrates the pocket 104 in an open state in which an opening 104b is opened, while FIG. 6 illustrates the pocket 104 in a closed state in which the opening 104b is closed. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 includes the opening 104b, which is closable or sealable. In some embodiments, the opening 104b is closed or sealed by any suitable means such as adhesive, glue or other means. In some embodiments, the opening 104b is closed or sealed by folding a portion of the pocket 104 over another portion of the pocket 104 or sticking a portion of the pocket 104 to another portion of the pocket 104.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is inserted into the pocket 104 through the opening 104b, and then the protective unit 102 is sealed in the pocket 104 by closing or sealing the opening 104b. As a result, the protective unit 102 would not escape from or leak out of the pocket 104. FIG. 6 shows the protective unit 102 is sealed in the pocket 104.

In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101. The pocket 104 can be attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101 by an adhesive, a tape, a fastening means, hook and loop fasteners (Velcro), male and female buttons or any other suitable means. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is permanently or fixedly attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is disposed or attached at the predetermined position such as the bottom, the corner or the side of the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is opaque, transparent or semi-transparent. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is made of plastics, clothe or any other suitable material. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 sealed in the pocket 104 can be seen through the pocket 104. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 changes color according to the amount of the absorbed moisture, and the color change can be seen through the pocket 104.

In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is permeable to air or moisture. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is made of fiber, polyethylene, polyester, non-woven fabric or other materials. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 includes a plurality of pores 104a for the passage of air or moisture therethrough. In some embodiments, each of the pores 104a is of a size which permits the passage of air or moisture therethrough but prevents the passage of the protective unit 102 therethrough. Thus, the moisture in the chamber 101a can be absorbed by the protective unit 102 through the pores 104a.

Alternatively, the pocket 104 can be integrally formed with the mildew-resistant bag 101 as shown in FIGS. 7-9. FIGS. 8 and 9 are enlarged views of a part of the mildew-resistant bag 101, the pocket 104 and the protective unit 102. FIG. 8 illustrates the pocket 104 in an open state in which the opening 104b is opened, while FIG. 9 illustrates that the pocket 104 in a closed state in which the opening 104b is closed. The pocket 104 is a part of the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is made of the same or a different material as the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is made of plastic or any other suitable material. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is disposed at the predetermined position of the mildew-resistant bag 101.

In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is inserted into the pocket 104 through the opening 104b, and then the opening 104b is closed or sealed by any suitable means such as adhesive, glue, sealant or other means. As a result, the protective unit 102 is sealed in the pocket 104 and would not leak out of the pocket 104. FIG. 9 shows the protective unit 102 is sealed in the pocket 104. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 is permeable to air or moisture. In some embodiments, the pocket 104 includes the plurality of pores 104a for the passage of air or moisture therethrough. In some embodiments, each of the pores 104a is of a size which permits the passage of air or moisture therethrough but prevents the passage of the protective unit 102 therethrough. Thus, the moisture in the chamber 101a can be absorbed by the protective unit 102 through the pores 104a.

Referring to any one of FIGS. 1-3, 4 and 7, the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes an opening 101b for accessing the chamber 101a when the mildew-resistant bag 101 is in an open state. In some embodiments, the protective unit 102 is disposed distal to the opening 101b. FIGS. 1-3, 4 and 7 show that the opening 101b of the mildew-resistant bag 101 is in an open state, while FIGS. 10 and 11 show that the opening 101b of the mildew-resistant bag 101 is sealed and in a closed state. The object 103 can be inserted into or removed from the chamber 101a of the mildew-resistant bag 101 when the opening 101b is opened. The chamber 101a is accessible through the opening 101b when the opening 101b is opened.

In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes a zip 107 for closing and sealing the opening 101b. In some embodiments, the zip 107 is disposed at the opening 101b. In some embodiments, the opening 101b can be closed, opened or reopened by the zip 107. The opening 101b in the open state can be closed or sealed by the zip 107, and the opening 101b in the closed state can be opened or reopened by the zip 107.

In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes a hole 105. In some embodiments, the hole 105 is configured to discharge air from the chamber 101a. In some embodiments, the hole 105 is disposed at a predetermined position of the mildew-resistant bag 101, such as a corner or an edge of the mildew-resistant bag 101. The air inside the chamber 101a can be discharged from the chamber 101a to the surroundings through the hole 105 when the opening 101b is closed or sealed. In some embodiments, the air inside the chamber 101a can be discharged by pressing the mildew-resistant bag 101 to squeeze the air out from the chamber 101a through the hole 105. After discharging the air from the chamber 101a, a geometric size of the package 100 would be minimized or decreased. As such, further packaging of the package 100 (for example, putting the package 100 inside a cardboard box, etc.) can be easily managed.

In some embodiments, the package 100 further includes an airtight member 106 configured to seal the hole 105. In some embodiments, the airtight member 106 is disposed over the hole 105. In some embodiments, the airtight member 106 has a size substantially greater than the hole 105. In some embodiments, the airtight member 106 seals the hole 105 after discharging the air from the chamber 101a through the hole 105 such that the object 103 is sealed inside the chamber 101a and isolated from the surroundings. In some embodiments, the airtight member 106 is a tape, a sticker or any other suitable sealing means.

FIG. 10 illustrates that the mildew-resistant bag 101 is in a closed state, the opening 101b is closed and the chamber 101a or the object 103 is not accessible. In some embodiments, the opening 101b is closable in order to seal the chamber 101a. The chamber 101a is not accessible through the opening 101b when the opening 101b is closed.

When the opening 101b is sealed or closed, it cannot be reopened. In other words, the object 103 in the chamber 101a or inside the mildew-resistant bag 101 cannot be obtained from the chamber 101a or the mildew-resistant bag 101 when the opening 101b is closed or sealed.

When the opening 101b is closed or sealed, the chamber 101a or the object 103 can be accessed only if the mildew-resistant bag 101 is ripped or torn off. In some embodiments, the chamber 101a is accessible by ripping the mildew-resistant bag 101 or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes a seam 101c, an incision 101d, a cutting edge or a notch for facilitating the ripping or tearing of the mildew-resistant bag 101. In some embodiments, the chamber 101a is accessible by tearing along the seam 101c, the incision 101d, the cutting edge or the notch disposed adjacent to an edge of the mildew-resistant bag 101. FIG. 11 illustrates that the mildew-resistant bag 101 includes the seam 101c and the incision 101d. FIG. 12 illustrates that the mildew-resistant bag 101 is torn along the seam 101c, and FIG. 13 illustrates that the mildew-resistant bag 101 is torn from the incision 101d. After ripping or tearing of the mildew-resistant bag 101, the chamber 101a is accessible and the object 103 can be obtained from the chamber 101a.

In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is disposable after ripping the mildew-resistant bag 101 or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag 101. After closing or sealing the opening 101b, the mildew-resistant bag 101 can be opened or reopened in order to access the chamber 101a by ripping the mildew-resistant bag 101 or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag 101. When the mildew-resistant bag 101 is ripped or a portion is torn off, the mildew-resistant bag 101 would remain in an open state as shown in FIGS. 12 and 13, wherein the chamber 101a is accessible or the object 103 can be obtained from the chamber 101a. As such, the mildew-resistant bag 101 cannot return to the closed state in which the opening 101b is closed or the chamber 101a is not accessible. Thus, the mildew-resistant bag 101 is not re-useable if the sealed or closed opening 101b is opened. The mildew-resistant bag 101 shall be thrown away after ripping the mildew-resistant bag 101 or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag 101.

The mildew-resistant bag 101 is disposable after obtaining the object 103 from the chamber 101a. Since the protective unit 102 is attached to the mildew-resistant bag 101, the protective unit 102 would also be thrown away with the mildew-resistant bag 101, and therefore the protective unit 102 would not be easily accessed and mistakenly eaten by a baby or a child.

In some embodiments, a package comprises a mildew-resistant bag including a chamber for holding a shoe, and a protective unit for protecting the shoe, wherein the protective unit is disposed in the chamber and attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position.

In some embodiments, the protective unit is permanently or fixedly attached to the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the predetermined position is a corner, a side or an edge of the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the protective unit is attached to the mildew-resistant bag by an adhesive, a tape or a fastening means.

In some embodiments, the package further comprises a pocket for receiving the protective unit. In some embodiments, the pocket is integrally formed with the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the pocket is disposed in the chamber and attached to the mildew-resistant bag at the predetermined position. In some embodiments, the pocket is permeable to moisture or air. In some embodiments, the pocket is disposed at the predetermined position. In some embodiments, the pocket includes a plurality of pores for a passage of air or moisture therethrough.

In some embodiments, the protective unit includes a humidity indicator for indicating an amount of moisture being absorbed, a desiccant for absorbing moisture, or an anti-mildew tablet for resisting or attacking mildew or preventing a growth of mildew. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag includes an opening for accessing the chamber. In some embodiments, the opening is closable in order to seal the chamber. In some embodiments, the chamber is inaccessible through the opening when the opening is sealed or closed. In some embodiments, the opening cannot be opened when the opening is sealed or closed. In some embodiments, the protective unit is disposed distal to the opening.

In some embodiments, the chamber is accessible by ripping the mildew-resistant bag or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag is disposable after ripping the mildew-resistant bag or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the chamber is accessible by tearing along a seam or an incision disposed adjacent to an edge of the mildew-resistant bag. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag is waterproof, decomposable or biodegradable. In some embodiments, the package further includes a zip disposed at the opening and configured to close, seal, open or reopen the opening. In some embodiments, the mildew-resistant bag includes a hole for discharging air inside the chamber, and the package includes an airtight member for sealing the hole.

Although the present disclosure and its advantages have been described in detail, it should be understood that various changes, substitutions and alterations can be made herein without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure as defined by the appended claims. For example, many of the processes discussed above can be implemented in different methodologies and replaced by other processes, or a combination thereof.

Moreover, the scope of the present application is not intended to be limited to the particular embodiments of the process, machine, manufacture, composition of matter, means, methods and steps described in the specification. As one of ordinary skill in the art will readily appreciate from the disclosure of the present disclosure, processes, machines, manufacture, compositions of matter, means, methods, or steps, presently existing or later to be developed, that perform substantially the same function or achieve substantially the same result as the corresponding embodiments described herein may be utilized according to the present disclosure. Accordingly, the appended claims are intended to include within their scope such processes, machines, manufacture, compositions of matter, means, methods, or steps.

Claims

1. A package, comprising:

a mildew-resistant bag including a chamber for holding a shoe; and
a protective unit for protecting the shoe from moisture or mildew;
wherein the protective unit is disposed in the chamber and attached to the mildew-resistant bag at a predetermined position.

2. The package of claim 1, wherein the protective unit is permanently or fixedly attached to the mildew-resistant bag.

3. The package of claim 1, wherein the predetermined position is a corner, a side or an edge of the mildew-resistant bag.

4. The package of claim 1, wherein the protective unit is attached to the mildew-resistant bag by an adhesive, a tape or a fastening means.

5. The package of claim 1, further comprising a pocket for receiving the protective unit.

6. The package of claim 5, wherein the pocket is integrally formed with the mildew-resistant bag.

7. The package of claim 5, wherein the pocket is disposed in the chamber and attached to the mildew-resistant bag at the predetermined position.

8. The package of claim 5, wherein the pocket is permeable to moisture or air.

9. The package of claim 5, wherein the pocket includes a plurality of pores for a passage of air or moisture therethrough.

10. The package of claim 1, wherein the protective unit includes a humidity indicator for indicating an amount of moisture being absorbed, a desiccant for absorbing moisture, or an anti-mildew tablet for resisting or attacking mildew or preventing a growth of mildew.

11. The package of claim 1, wherein the mildew-resistant bag includes an opening for accessing the chamber.

12. The package of claim 11, wherein the opening is closable to seal the chamber.

13. The package of claim 11, wherein the chamber is inaccessible through the opening when the opening is sealed or closed.

14. The package of claim 11, wherein the opening cannot be reopened when the opening is sealed or closed.

15. The package of claim 11, wherein the protective unit is disposed distal to the opening.

16. The package of claim 11, further comprising a zip disposed at the opening and configured to close, seal, open or reopen the opening.

17. The package of claim 1, wherein the chamber is accessible by ripping the mildew-resistant bag or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag, or by tearing along a seam or an incision disposed adjacent to an edge of the mildew-resistant bag.

18. The package of claim 1, wherein the mildew-resistant bag is disposable after ripping the mildew-resistant bag or tearing off a portion of the mildew-resistant bag.

19. The package of claim 1, wherein the mildew-resistant bag includes a hole for discharging air inside the chamber, and the package includes an airtight member for sealing the hole.

20. A package, comprising:

a bag for holding a shoe; and
a protective unit for absorbing moisture or resisting mildew;
wherein the protective unit is disposed inside the bag and attached to a predetermined position of the bag.
