DISPOSABLE MAKE-UP APPLYING SYSTEM AND METHOD

A makeup applicator tool includes a shaft, a tightly woven thin cotton swab, a micro-bristled brush, and a woven cotton bulb. The makeup applicator tool is useful for manipulation of mascara applied to the eyelashes of a user, and alternately to remove excess mascara from the eye area of the user with the micro-bristled brush, and the woven cotton bulb. The makeup applicator tool also can apply and alternately remove eyeshadow with the tightly woven thin cotton swab. The entirety of the makeup applicator tool is made of environmentally-safe materials, for efficient environmental breakdown after disposal.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

The present application is related to and claims priority to U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 62/337,282 filed May 16, 2016, which is incorporated by reference herein in its entirety.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The following includes information that may be useful in understanding the present disclosure. It is not an admission that any of the information provided herein is prior art nor material to the presently described or claimed inventions, nor that any publication or document that is specifically or implicitly referenced is prior art.

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to the field of make-up tools and more specifically relates to make-up cleaning tools.

2. Description of Related Art

When applying mascara, clumps of the makeup can be left behind on the skin and eyelashes. Lashes may stick together and leave a less than desirable look after application. People may use mascara brushes and Q-tips to manipulate their eyelashes and remove mascara from the skin; however these tools may simply smear the mascara further and even leave behind fibers that get stuck in the eyelashes. In addition, some Q-tips may be too wide to provide effective last cleanup. A suitable solution is therefore desired.

U.S. Pub. 2013/0263874 to Kathryn M. Moody relates to disposable beauty tools for use after applying mascara. The described disposable beauty tools for use after applying mascara includes a disposable beauty tool for use after applying mascara. In an exemplary embodiment, a disposable beauty tool generally includes cotton (or other suitable material) at one end portion and a mascara comb at the other end portion. Also disclosed are exemplary embodiments of methods for using a disposable beauty tool. In an exemplary embodiment, a method generally includes using a first end portion of a disposable beauty tool to wipe away mascara smudges. The method may also include using a second end portion of the disposable beauty tool to comb and/or separate eyelashes and remove clumps of mascara.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the foregoing disadvantages inherent in the known make-up cleaning tools art, the present disclosure provides a novel disposable make-up applying system. The general purpose of the present disclosure, which will be described subsequently in greater detail, is to provide an efficient-to-use disposable make-up applying system.

A makeup applicator tool is disclosed herein. The makeup applicator tool includes a shaft, a tightly woven thin cotton swab, a micro-bristled brush, and a woven cotton bulb. The shaft includes a first point, and a second point opposed to the first point. The tightly woven thin cotton swab may be coupled to the first point, and the micro-bristled brush may be coupled to the shaft near the second point. At the tip of the second point may be a woven cotton bulb above the micro-bristled brush. The makeup applicator tool, as so designed, is configured to manipulate mascara applied to the eyelashes of a user, and alternately remove excess mascara from the eye area of the user.

The makeup applicator tool includes a shaft, a tightly woven thin cotton swab, a micro-bristled brush, and a woven cotton bulb. In this embodiment the makeup applicator tool may be disposable. The makeup applicator tool may be made of environmentally-safe materials, for efficient environmental breakdown after disposal.

The micro-bristled brush may be configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward from the shaft and being tapered at both ends form a convex shape around the shaft. The shaft may be constructed using recycled paper. The shaft may be no more than three inches in length; alternately, the shaft may be at least three inches in length in certain embodiments. The shaft may be flexible so that the user can flexibly manipulate the shaft to evenly reach all the eyelashes of an eye. The shaft may be brightly colored so that the user can easily discern between dark colored mascara and the tip of the makeup applicator tool once mascara has been applied. The shaft may be printed with indicia configured to measure the length of eyelashes of the user.

The micro-bristled brush may be configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward forming a tubular shape around the shaft, and the micro-bristled brush may be constructed using recycled nylon. The micro-bristled brush may also be configured to include a plurality of soft and rigid intertwining bristles. The micro-bristled brush may be designed to apply mascara and alternately spread mascara, by further using the tightly woven thin cotton. A user may apply and alternately remove eyeshadow. The woven cotton bulb may be configured to manipulate and alternately remove mascara.

According to another embodiment, a method of use for the makeup applicator tool is also disclosed herein. The method of use for the makeup applicator tool includes opening of a protective packaging of the makeup applicator tool, applying mascara to the makeup applicator tool, manipulating the mascara applied to eyelashes, measuring a length of eyelashes after mascara-application, removing excess the mascara from the eyelashes and surrounding area, and disposing of used the makeup applicator tool in an environmentally-friendly manner.

It is to be understood that not necessarily all such advantages may be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Thus, the invention may be embodied or carried out in a manner that achieves or optimizes one advantage or group of advantages as taught herein without necessarily achieving other advantages as may be taught or suggested herein. The features of the invention which are believed to be novel are particularly pointed out and distinctly claimed in the concluding portion of the specification. These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present invention will become better understood with reference to the following drawings and detailed description.

The various embodiments of the present invention will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings, wherein like designations denote like elements.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

As discussed above, embodiments of the present disclosure relate to make-up cleaning tools and more particularly to a disposable make-up applying system as used to improve manipulation of mascara applied to the eyelashes of a user, and alternately removal of excess mascara from the eye area of the user.

Generally, after mascara has been applied to the eyelashes, touch up must be done. A novel item is needed that has a compacted cotton tip which may be used with tap water. The item must also have bristle brushes attached to a paper/plastic stick to help with smoothing out clumps associated with the application of mascara. The cotton tip helps with removing mascara that has come in contact with the skin. The wand has a tight compacted cotton tip so no ‘fuzzy’ pieces of cotton are left on the lashes, all these features are combined to create a disposable applicator disclosed herein.

Referring now more specifically to the drawings by numerals of reference, there is shown in FIGS. 1-4, various views of a makeup applicator tool 100. FIG. 1 shows a makeup applicator tool 100, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. Here, the makeup applicator tool 100 may be beneficial for use by a user 140 to manipulate and apply mascara to eyelashes 5 of the user 140, and alternately remove excess mascara from around the eye area of the user 140. As illustrated, the makeup applicator tool 100 may include a shaft 110, a tightly woven thin cotton swab 120, a micro-bristled brush 130, and a woven cotton bulb 136. The tightly woven thin cotton swab 120 which may be coupled to a first point 112 of the shaft 110 is configured to apply and alternately remove eyeshadow. The micro-bristled brush 130 and woven cotton bulb 136 may be coupled to a second point 114 and is configured to manipulate mascara applied to the eyelashes 5 of a user 140, and alternately remove excess mascara from an eye area of the user 140.

According to one embodiment, the makeup applicator tool 100 may be arranged as a kit 105. In particular, the makeup applicator tool 100 may further include a set of instructions 155. The instructions 155 may detail functional relationships in relation to the structure of the makeup applicator tool 100 (such that the makeup applicator tool 100 can be used, maintained, or the like, in a preferred manner).

FIG. 2 shows the makeup applicator tool 100 of FIG. 1, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. As above, the makeup applicator tool 100 may include the shaft 110, the tightly woven thin cotton swab 120, the micro-bristled brush 130, and the woven cotton bulb 136. The shaft 110 may include the micro-bristled brush 120 coupled to the shaft 110 near the second point 114 and be tapered at both ends forming a convex shape 117 around the shaft 110. The micro-bristled brush 130 may be configured to apply mascara and alternately spread mascara. The woven cotton bulb 136 may be coupled to the tip of the second point 114 above the micro-bristled brush 130. The woven cotton bulb 136 may be configured to manipulate and alternately remove mascara.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the makeup applicator tool 100 during an ‘in-use’ condition 150, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The shaft 110 includes the first point 112 and the second point 114, opposed to the first point 112. The shaft 110 may be constructed using recycled paper, and may be no more than three inches in length, which may include the tightly woven thin cotton swab 120, the micro-bristled brush 130, and the woven cotton bulb 136 in an all-in-one configuration. Other suitable equivalent materials may be used. The shaft 110 may be printed with indicia configured to measure a length of the eyelashes 5 of the user 140, and may further be brightly colored so that the user 140 can easily discern between dark colored mascara and a tip of the makeup applicator tool 100 once mascara has been applied.

FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the makeup applicator tool 100 during an ‘in-use’ condition 150, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. The shaft 110 may be flexible so that the user 140 can flexibly manipulate the shaft 140 to evenly reach all of the eyelashes 5 of the eye, and all areas of the eye lid when applying eye shadow. The micro-bristled brush 130 may be configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward from the shaft 110, and may be constructed using recycled nylon (or other suitable material). The entirety of the makeup applicator tool 100 may be made of environmentally-safe materials for efficient-environmental breakdown after disposal.

FIG. 5 is a flow diagram 550 illustrating a method of use 500 for the makeup applicator tool 100, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure. In particular, the method 500 for the makeup applicator tool 100 may include one or more components or features of the makeup applicator tool 100 as described above. As illustrated, the method of use 500 for the makeup applicator tool 100 may include the steps of: step one 501, opening of a protective packaging of the makeup applicator tool 100; step two 502, applying mascara to the makeup applicator tool 100; step three 503, manipulating the mascara applied to eyelashes; step four 504, measuring a length of eyelashes after mascara-application; step five 505, removing excess mascara from the eyelashes and surrounding area; and step six 506, disposing of used makeup applicator tool 100 in an environmentally-friendly manner.

It should be noted that steps 505 and 506 are optional steps and may not be implemented in all cases. Optional steps of method of use 500 are illustrated using dotted lines in FIG. 5 so as to distinguish them from the other steps of method of use 500. It should also be noted that the steps described in the method of use can be carried out in many different orders according to user preference. The use of “step of” should not be interpreted as “step for”, in the claims herein and is not intended to invoke the provisions of 35 U.S.C. §112(f). It should also be noted that, under appropriate circumstances, considering such issues as design preference, user preferences, marketing preferences, cost, structural requirements, available materials, technological advances, etc., other methods for the makeup applicator tool 100 (e.g., different step orders within above-mentioned list, elimination or addition of certain steps, including or excluding certain maintenance steps, etc.), are taught herein.

The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Further, the purpose of the foregoing abstract is to enable the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the public generally, and especially the scientist, engineers and practitioners in the art who are not familiar with patent or legal terms or phraseology, to determine quickly from a cursory inspection the nature and essence of the technical disclosure of the application.

Claims

1. A makeup applicator tool comprising:

a shaft including a first point and a second point opposed to the first point;
a tightly woven thin cotton swab coupled to the first point;
a micro-bristled brush coupled to the shaft near the second point; and
a woven cotton bulb coupled to a tip of the second point above the micro-bristled brush; and
wherein the makeup applicator tool is configured to manipulate mascara applied to the eyelashes of a user, and alternately remove excess mascara from the eye area of the user.

2. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the makeup applicator tool is disposable.

3. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the makeup applicator tool is made of environmentally-safe materials, for efficient environmental breakdown after disposal.

4. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward from the shaft and be tapered at both ends forming a convex shape around the shaft.

5. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward forming a tubular shape around the shaft.

6. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is constructed using recycled paper.

7. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the micro-bristled brush is constructed using recycled nylon.

8. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is no more than three inches in length.

9. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is at least three inches in length.

10. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is printed with indicia configured to measure the length of eyelashes of the user.

11. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is brightly colored such that the user can easily discern between dark colored mascara and the tip of the makeup applicator tool once mascara has been applied.

12. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the shaft is flexible such that the user can flexibly manipulate the shaft to evenly reach all the eyelashes of an eye.

13. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the tightly woven thin cotton is configured to apply and alternately remove eyeshadow.

14. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to apply mascara and alternately spread mascara.

15. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the woven cotton bulb is configured to manipulate and alternately remove mascara.

16. The makeup applicator tool of claim 1, wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to include a plurality of soft and rigid intertwining bristles.

17. A makeup applicator tool, the system comprising:

a shaft including a first point and a second point opposed to the first point;
wherein the shaft is constructed using recycled paper;
wherein the shaft is no more than three inches in length;
wherein the shaft is printed with indicia configured to measure a length of eyelashes of a user;
wherein the shaft is brightly colored so that the user can easily discern between dark colored mascara and a tip of the makeup applicator tool once mascara has been applied; and
wherein the shaft is flexible so that the user can flexibly manipulate the shaft to evenly reach all eyelashes of the eye;
a tightly woven thin cotton swab coupled to the first point; and
wherein the tightly woven thin cotton is configured to apply and alternately remove eyeshadow;
a micro-bristled brush coupled to the shaft near the second point;
wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to extend three hundred and sixty-degrees outward from the shaft and be tapered at both ends forming a convex shape around the shaft;
wherein the micro-bristled brush is constructed using recycled nylon;
wherein the micro-bristled brush is configured to apply mascara and alternately spread mascara;
wherein a woven cotton bulb is coupled to a tip of the second point above the micro-bristled brush;
wherein the woven cotton bulb is configured to manipulate and alternately remove mascara;
wherein the makeup applicator tool is made of environmentally-safe materials for efficient-environmental breakdown after disposal, and
wherein the makeup applicator tool is configured to manipulate mascara applied to the eyelashes of a user, and alternately remove excess mascara from an eye area of the user.

18. The system of claim 17, further comprising set of instructions; and

wherein the system is arranged as a kit.

19. A method of use for the makeup applicator tool, the method comprising the steps of:

opening of a protective packaging of the makeup applicator tool;
applying mascara to the makeup applicator tool;
manipulating the mascara applied to eyelashes; and
measuring a length of the eyelashes after mascara-application.

20. The method of claim 19, further comprising the steps of:

removing excess said mascara from the eyelashes and surrounding area; and
disposing of used said makeup applicator tool in an environmentally-friendly manner.
