Zippy Coverall Bib
An apparatus formed or constructed from a stain resistant fabric or material to be worn as a full body bib that covers individuals of various sizes. The apparatus has an opening at the top to form a neck strap and an opening at the bottom portion to form legs. The neck portion has a closure and the leg portion is formed by an enclosed zipper. The leg portion is constructed with leg straps to secure the bib legs to the individual's legs. A fictitious pocket is attached at the top of the zipper edge.
U.S. Patent Document Reference U.S. D473,998 S—I am the inventor of the Cover-all Bib design as referenced in the design patent. This utility patent application is to protect both the design and concept of the Cover-all Bib, now known as the Zippy Coverall Bib.
INTRODUCTIONMany approaches have been taken towards providing a protective bib-like article for babies and toddlers, to be worn over clothing to prevent food and liquids from staining the clothing, mod of which only cover from the neck to the waist. According to the illustrated embodiment of the present invention, legs have been formed on the bib to cover the legs of the child.
SUMMARY OF INVENTIONThe Zippy Coverall Bib is designed with a zipper as an inseam to form legs for the bib, but not limited to the zipper closure thereof. The closure to form legs could include a zipper, velcro, snaps, or other forms of closures. The bib has elastic straps on the back of the leg portion to secure the legs while being worn, but not limited to the elastic straps to secure the legs. The bib covers the entire front of the body to protect from spills, spit-ups and the like. The Zippy Coverall is constructed of fabrics with a soft laminated poly urethane finish for easy wipe-of, but not limited to the laminated finished material, but could include a disposable material such as a fibered paper, plastic, or other forms of material. The bib can be constructed in a any desirable size, therefore not limited to infant or toddler sizes, but can be constructed for adult sizes.

Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details described thereof. Various substitutions and modifications in materials used, size, and methods of construction will occur during manufacturing process. Therefore, all such substitutions and modifications are intended to be embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
Claims
1. The Zippy Coverall Bib with a zipper inseam to form legs for a full body bib, but not limited to the zipper closure comprising,
- a body portion defining an opened top edge forming a neck strap with some form of closure to be attached around the neck of an individual; and,
- the leg formed portion is formed by an enclosed zipper, but not limited to having a zipper to form the bottom legs portion.
2. The bib apparatus as recited in claim 1 wherein said body portion includes binding or trim around the edges, but not limited to being constructed with a trim or binding covering all material edges.
3. The bib apparatus as recited in claim 1 wherein said body portion has elastic straps attached to the back of the leg portions, but the straps are not limited to elastic material, and can be constructed of other materials to secure the leg portion to an individual's legs.
