No. 15/694,790, filed Sep. 2, 2017, that takes priority to U.S. provisional application 62/549,449 filed on Aug. 24, 2017, which applications are incorporated in their entirety herein by reference for all purposes.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present disclosure relates generally to backpack, or waist pack type personal hydration systems that store and disburse fluids, and more particularly to those systems that have novel improvements such splash guards, costuming, various attachments, additional elements including hoods, eyewear, and other improving features.

BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION

People that are participants and/or spectators in outdoor activities and events, such as sports, festivals, concerts, races, marathons, classes, plays, recitals, running, jogging, bicycling, hiking, contests, exercise, hobbies, water and snow activities, sunning, beach and pool patroning, golfing, as well as many other activities and events weather indoor or outdoor usually require drinking water or fluids. Some events and activities require very significant water or fluid intake. It is common for people attending these activities and events to carry their own supply of water with them. Sometimes there may not be other sources of water available or they may not want to stop and drink from open, untreated water source because of the risk of contamination. In many cases carrying a few water bottles does not solve the greater need. A popular solution to this problem has been to provide a water bladder, often with a drinking tube and mouthpiece attached, known as a hydration pack. Many types of hydration packs are in the form of an easy to carry backpack. These hydration pack s are easy to carry, easy to use, and can hold large quantities of water or fluids. They commonly have a mouthpiece which includes a bite valve to control the flow of water and a locking device or valve to stop flow from the bladder. The popularity of hydration pack s is growing. The use is expanding. The demographics are broadening. There is a need and desire for improvements, additions, and accessories.

The present invention is an improved hydration pact because in various embodiments it includes several important and novel improvements on the existing hydration pack s such as: 1) a fluid drinking splash guard AKA splash unit to catch excess water or fluid from just dripping and spilling on the user, as well as, other benefits; 2) a hood that is removably or permanently attached to the pack for outdoor protection from the elements like rain, sun, and styling/fashion expansion; 3) some embodiments include eyewear that is removably or permanently attached to the hood or pack for sun, snow, rain and other protection, psychedelic or hallucinogenic experience, and styling/fashion expansion; 4) the present invention in at least one embodiment also adds play value and utility uses by adding accessory attaching devices or connectors allowing for accessory dispensing add-ons for play such as water gun accessories and utility add-ons such as spray nozzles (can be used for a variety of things such as for example washing your car); 5) The present invention in at least one embodiment also adds creativity, style, and fashion by adding three dimensional costumes with broad use of many types of materials and further enhancing play opportunities for the present invention in role play and costuming; 6) The present invention in at least one embodiment has a water measuring device on the bladder or pack; 7) The pack and/or Bladder(s) may have a part/section, insulation insert, or is attached to cold or hot or frozen pack; 8) the present invention in at least one embodiment additionally comprises lighting, sound, vibration, and/or bubbles and in at least one embodiment has mode switching and sequencing of the lights and/or synchronization between lighting, sound, vibration, and/or bubbles, and further any of the electronic features may be controlled remotely in at least one embodiment; 9) the present invention in at least one embodiment uses Y connectors;
