A storage container for a refrigerator includes a first storage box and a second storage box. The first storage box includes a first bottom wall and a first peripheral wall surrounding the first bottom wall. The first bottom wall and the first peripheral wall cooperatively define a first storage space. The second storage box includes a second bottom wall and a second peripheral wall surrounding the second bottom wall. The second bottom wall and the second peripheral wall cooperatively define a second storage space. The second bottom wall is formed by an extended portion of the first peripheral wall.

This application claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 201721887380.0 filed on Dec. 28, 2017, the contents of which are incorporated by reference herein.

FIELD

The subject matter herein generally relates to storage containers, and more particularly to a storage container for use in a refrigerator.

BACKGROUND

Generally, food products for babies need to be kept orderly in a refrigerator.

It will be appreciated that for simplicity and clarity of illustration, where appropriate, reference numerals have been repeated among the different figures to indicate corresponding or analogous elements. In addition, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the embodiments described herein. However, it will be understood by those of ordinary skill in the art that the embodiments described herein can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, methods, procedures and components have not been described in detail so as not to obscure the related relevant feature being described. The drawings are not necessarily to scale and the proportions of certain parts may be exaggerated to better illustrate details and features. The description is not to be considered as limiting the scope of the embodiments described herein.

Several definitions that apply throughout this disclosure will now be presented.

The term “substantially” is defined to be essentially conforming to the particular dimension, shape, or other word that “substantially” modifies, such that the component need not be exact. For example, “substantially cylindrical” means that the object resembles a cylinder, but can have one or more deviations from a true cylinder. The term “comprising” means “including, but not necessarily limited to”; it specifically indicates open-ended inclusion or membership in a so-described combination, group, series and the like.

FIG. 1 illustrates an embodiment of a storage container 10 for use in a refrigerator (not shown). The storage container 10 is used for storing and maintaining cleanliness of baby products or other objects. In detail, the storage container 10 may be used on a door of the refrigerator 20.

Referring to FIG. 2, the storage container 10 includes at least a first storage box 11 and a second storage box 12. The first storage box 11 and the second storage box 12 may store different kinds of objects. The first storage box 11 and the second storage box 12 are adjacently situated.

Referring to FIG. 3, the first storage box 11 includes a first bottom wall 111 and a first peripheral wall 113. The first peripheral wall 113 surrounds a perimeter of the first bottom wall 111 and cooperatively defines a first storage space 115 with the first bottom wall 111. The first storage space 115 receives objects therein.

In detail, the first peripheral wall 113 includes a first left sidewall 1131, a first right sidewall 1132, a first front wall 1133, and a first back wall 1134. The first left sidewall 1131 and the first right sidewall 1132 are oppositely arranged. The first front wall 1133 and the first back wall 1134 are oppositely arranged. In at least one embodiment, the first left sidewall 1131 and the first right sidewall 1132 are angled toward each other toward the first front wall 1133.

Referring to FIG. 4, the second storage box 12 includes a second bottom wall 121 and a second peripheral wall 123. The second peripheral wall 123 surrounds a perimeter of the second bottom wall 121 and cooperatively defines a second storage space 125 with the second bottom wall 121. The second storage space 125 receives objects therein. The second bottom wall 121 is arranged on the first back wall 1134 and extends away from the first front wall 1133. The second bottom wall 121 is positioned between two ends of the first back wall 1134 and includes two ends of the first back wall 1134.

In at least one embodiment, the second storage box 12 and the first storage box 11 are not arranged on a same plane. In detail, the second bottom wall 121 is substantially perpendicular to the first back wall 1134 and substantially parallel to the first bottom wall 111 and arranged away from the first bottom wall 111 extending away from the first front wall 1133. Thus, the first bottom wall 111 and the second bottom wall 121 are positioned separately at two ends of the first back wall 1134 to form the storage container 10 in a stepped fashion.

In detail, the second peripheral wall 123 includes a second left sidewall 1231, a second right sidewall 1232, a second front wall 1233, and a second back wall 1234. The second left sidewall 1231 and the second right sidewall 1232 are oppositely arranged. The second front wall 1233 and the second back wall 1234 are oppositely arranged. In at least one embodiment, the second front wall 1233 is positioned at a junction between the first back wall 1134 and the second bottom wall 121 and extends from the first back wall 1134 away from the first bottom wall 111.

To strengthen a junction between the first storage box 11 and the second storage box 12, a plurality of ribs 13 are arranged between the first storage box 11 and the second storage box 12. In at least one embodiment, the ribs 13 are arranged at a junction between the second bottom wall 121 and the first back wall 1134. The ribs 13 are substantially right-trapezoidal. To maintain an appearance of the storage container 10, the first left sidewall 1131 and the first right sidewall 1132 each extend away from the first front wall 1133 toward the second back wall 1234 to form a left flange 1135 and a right flange 1136. The left flange 1135 and the right flange 1136 are used for blocking sight of the ribs 13. In another embodiment, the ribs 13 may also be arranged on an inner surface of the left flange 1135 and the right flange 1136 to strengthen coupling of the left flange 1135, the right flange 1136, and the second bottom wall 121.

In another embodiment, the second storage box 12 and the first storage box 11 are not positioned on a same plane. In detail, the second bottom wall 121 is substantially perpendicular to the first back wall 1134 and extends parallel to the first bottom wall 111 and away from the first front wall 1133. The second bottom wall 121 is arranged between two ends of the first back wall 1134 and does not include the two ends of the first back wall 1134 to form the storage container 10 in a stepped fashion. The second front wall 1233 is a portion of the first back wall 1134 at a junction between the second bottom wall 121 and the first back wall 1134 and extending away from the first bottom wall 111.

In another embodiment, the second storage box 12 and the first storage box 11 are positioned on a same plane. The second bottom wall 121 is formed at a junction between the first bottom wall 111 and the first back wall 1134 extending away from the first front wall 1133. The second left sidewall 1231 is formed at a junction between the first left sidewall 1131 and the first back wall 1134 extending away from the first front wall 1133, and the second right sidewall 1232 is formed at a junction between the first right sidewall 1132 and the first back sidewall 1134 extending away from the first front wall 1133.

The second storage box 12 further includes at least one limiting plate 126. The limiting plate 126 limits a position of objects within the second storage box 12 to prevent the objects from moving or falling over when opening the door 20. In at least one embodiment, the limiting plate 126 is substantially rectangular and arranged within the second storage space 125 to divide the second storage space 125 into at least two portions. The limiting plate 126 substantially faces the second left sidewall 1231 and the second right sidewall 1232 and is substantially perpendicular to the second bottom plate 121. A quantity and position of the limiting plate 126 may be changed according to requirements. For example, the limiting plate 126 may be positioned facing the second front wall 1233 and the second back wall 1234 and perpendicular to the second bottom wall 121.

The storage container 10 further includes at least one separating plate 127 to define a plurality of storage spaces so that a user may designate objects to be placed in different spaces, thereby maintaining tidiness of the storage container 10. In at least one embodiment, the separating plate 127 is arranged within the second storage space 125 to divide the second storage space 125 and define a third storage space 128. In detail, the separating plate 127 is arranged between the second left sidewall 1231 and the second right sidewall 1232 and faces the second front wall 1233. The third storage space 128 may be rectangular.

In another embodiment, the separating plate 127 may be arranged within the first storage space 115 to divide the first storage space 115.

The storage container 10 may further include an installing portion 14 to install the storage container 10 on the refrigerator. For example, the installing portion 14 may be a slotted structure to assist in installing the storage container 10 on the door 20. The installing portion 14 may protrude vertically from the left flange 1135 and the right flange 1136, for example. To maintain an appearance of the storage container 10, the second left sidewall 1231 and the second right sidewall 1232 may include a blocking plate 15 for blocking sight of the installing portion 14 (as shown in FIG. 2).

Referring to FIG. 5, for convenient storage and retrieval of objects, the storage container 10 may be configured in an angled orientation relative to the door 20. In at least one embodiment, an angle between the second back wall 1234 and the second bottom wall 121 may be greater than 90 degrees. The angle between the second back wall 1234 and the second bottom wall 121 may be 110 degrees, so that when the installing portion 14 installs the storage container 10 on the door 20 to make the second back wall 1234 attached to the door 20, the storage container 10 is angled 20 degrees relative to the door 20.

As described above, the storage container 10 is installed on the refrigerator. The storage container 10 includes at least the first storage box 11 and the second storage box 12 to satisfy storage requirements of a user. The second bottom wall 121 is substantially perpendicular to the first back wall 1134 and non-planar with the first bottom wall 111, thereby being formed in a stepped fashion. In addition, an angle between the second back wall 1234 and the second bottom wall 121 is greater than 90 degrees to configure the storage container 10 in an angled orientation relative to the door 20, thereby achieving convenient storage and retrieval of objects stored in the storage container 10.

Even though numerous characteristics and advantages of the present technology have been set forth in the foregoing description, together with details of the structure and function of the present disclosure, the disclosure is illustrative only, and changes may be made in the detail, including in matters of shape, size and arrangement of the parts within the principles of the present disclosure up to, and including, the full extent established by the broad general meaning of the terms used in the claims.

Claims

1. A storage container for a refrigerator, the storage container comprising:

a first storage box comprising a first bottom wall and a first peripheral wall surrounding the first bottom wall, the first bottom wall and the first peripheral wall cooperatively defining a first storage space;
a second storage box comprising a second bottom wall and a second peripheral wall surrounding the second bottom wall, the second bottom wall and the second peripheral wall cooperatively defining a second storage space;
wherein the second bottom wall is formed by an extended portion of the first peripheral wall.

2. The storage container of claim 1, wherein the first peripheral wall comprises a first left sidewall, a first right sidewall, a first front wall, and a first back wall; the first left sidewall and the first right sidewall are oppositely arranged; the first front wall and the first back wall are oppositely arranged; the first left sidewall and the first right sidewall are angled toward each other toward the first front wall; the second bottom wall is formed by the first back wall extending away from the first front wall.

3. The storage container of claim 2, wherein the second peripheral wall comprises a second left sidewall, a second right sidewall, a second front wall, and a second back wall; the second left sidewall and the second right sidewall; the second front wall and the second back wall are oppositely arranged; the second bottom wall is formed by a portion of the first back wall located away from the first bottom wall extending away from the first front wall.

The storage container of claim 3, wherein the first bottom wall and the second bottom wall are positioned at opposite ends of the first back wall; the first storage box and the second storage box are positioned in a stepped fashion; the second front wall is formed to extend away from the first bottom wall from a portion of the first back wall away from the first bottom wall; the second front wall is positioned at a junction between the first back wall and the second bottom wall.

The storage container of claim 3, wherein the second bottom wall is formed by a portion of the first back wall between two ends of the first back wall extending away from the first front wall; the second bottom wall is parallel to the first bottom wall; the first storage box and the second storage box are positioned in a stepped fashion; the second front wall is a portion of the first back wall extending away from the first bottom wall from a junction between the second bottom wall and the first back wall.

6. The storage container of claim 3, wherein the second bottom wall is arranged at a junction between the first bottom wall and the first back wall and is formed to extend away from the first front wall; the first bottom wall and the second bottom wall are coplanar.

7. The storage container of claim 3, wherein an angle between the second back wall and the second bottom wall is greater than 90 degrees; the second back wall is attached to the refrigerator to configure the storage container in an angled orientation relative to the refrigerator.

8. The storage container of claim 3, wherein the second storage box comprises at least one separating plate arranged within the second storage space to divide the second storage space into at least two portions.

9. The storage container of claim 1, wherein the second storage box comprises at least one limiting plate arranged within the second storage space to designate a position therein for receiving an object.

10. A refrigerator comprising a storage container comprising:

a first storage box comprising a first bottom wall and a first peripheral wall surrounding the first bottom wall, the first bottom wall and the first peripheral wall cooperatively defining a first storage space;
a second storage box comprising a second bottom wall and a second peripheral wall surrounding the second bottom wall, the second bottom wall and the second peripheral wall cooperatively defining a second storage space;
wherein the second bottom wall is formed by an extended portion of the first peripheral wall.

11. The refrigerator of claim 10, wherein the first peripheral wall comprises a first left sidewall, a first right sidewall, a first front wall, and a first back wall; the first left sidewall and the first right sidewall are oppositely arranged; the first front wall and the first back wall are oppositely arranged; the first left sidewall and the first right sidewall are angled toward each other toward the first front wall; the second bottom wall is formed by the first back wall extending away from the first front wall.

12. The refrigerator of claim 11, wherein the second peripheral wall comprises a second left sidewall, a second right sidewall, a second front wall, and a second back wall; the second left sidewall and the second right sidewall; the second front wall and the second back wall are oppositely arranged; the second bottom wall is formed by a portion of the first back wall located away from the first bottom wall extending away from the first front wall.

13. The refrigerator of claim 12, wherein the first bottom wall and the second bottom wall are positioned at opposite ends of the first back wall; the first storage box and the second storage box are positioned in a stepped fashion; the second front wall is formed to extend away from the first bottom wall from a portion of the first back wall away from the first bottom wall; the second front wall is positioned at a junction between the first back wall and the second bottom wall.

14. The refrigerator of claim 12, wherein the second bottom wall is formed by a portion of the first back wall between two ends of the first back wall extending away from the first front wall; the second bottom wall is parallel to the first bottom wall; the first storage box and the second storage box are positioned in a stepped fashion; the second front wall is a portion of the first back wall extending away from the first bottom wall from a junction between the second bottom wall and the first back wall.

15. The refrigerator of claim 12, wherein the second bottom wall is arranged at a junction between the first bottom wall and the first back wall and is formed to extend away from the first front wall; the first bottom wall and the second bottom wall are coplanar.

16. The refrigerator of claim 12, wherein an angle between the second back wall and the second bottom wall is greater than 90 degrees; the second back wall is attached to the refrigerator to configure the storage container in an angled orientation relative to the refrigerator.

17. The refrigerator of claim 12, wherein the second storage box comprises at least one separating plate arranged within the second storage space to divide the second storage space into at least two portions.

18. The refrigerator of claim 10, wherein the second storage box comprises at least one limiting plate arranged within the second storage space to designate a position therein for receiving an object.
