The hood securing element 1112 could be a number of items, including, but not limited to, a zipper or button.

The jacket system 1000 is also comprised of a pair of gloves 1200. Each glove 1200 is further comprised of a glove weight compartment 1201 and a bungee cord attachment component 1202. The glove weight compartment 1201 is located on the back side of the glove 1200. The glove weight compartment 1201 can be used to house weights to enhance the user's workout. A bungee cord attachment component 1202 is located on the palm of the glove 1200. The bungee cord attachment component 1202 serves as a mechanism to connect the upper set of bungee cords 1304 to the glove 1200 for exercising.

The jacket system 1000 is further comprised of a bungee belt system 1300. The bungee belt system 1300 is comprised of a bungee belt base 1301, a plurality of bungee belt weight compartments 1302, a set of upper bungee cords 1304, a set of lower bungee cords 1305, a jacket core connection component 1306, a bungee belt securing component 1307, a plurality of bungee cord integration components 1308, and leg cuffs 1311. In alternate embodiments, the bungee belt system 1300 may also be comprised of a plurality of personal item attachments 1303.

The bungee belt base 1301 has an interior 1309 and exterior 1310. The plurality of the bungee belt weight compartments 1302 are located on the exterior 1310 of bungee belt base 1301. The bungee belt weight compartments 1302 can be used to house weights to enhance the user's workout. The bungee belt weight compartments 1302 can be made of any material suitable for housing weighted items, including, but not limited to, a nylon mesh. The plurality of personal item attachments 1303 are located on the bungee belt base 1301 and can be used for securing personal items via a hook or similar device.

Further, also located on the exterior 1310 of the bungee belt base 1301 is a bungee belt securing component 1307. This component is designed to secure the bungee belt system 1300 around the user's waist area. The bungee belt securing component 1307 can be any device suitable for securing the bungee belt system 1300 around one's waist, including, but not limited to, a buckle and strap system or a button. Further, a plurality of bungee cord integration components 1308 are located on the exterior 1310 bungee belt base 1301. The bungee cord integration components 1308 allow for the connection of the upper bungee cords 1304 or lower bungee cords 1305 to the bungee belt base 1301. Ideally, each bungee cord is made material suitable for providing durable resistance training.

In regards to the primary embodiment, the workout jacket system 1000 is assembled as follows. The bungee belt system 1300 is attached to the jacket base 1106 of the jacket core 1100 using the jacket core connection component 1306 located on the interior 1309 the bungee belt base 1301 and the bungee belt system components 1102. Once the bungee belt system 1300 is safely affixed to the jacket core 1100, the user will secure the bungee belt system 1300 using the bungee belt securing component 1307. After securing the bungee belt system 1300 to the user's waist, the user may select which set of bungee cords he or she would like to utilize.

For exercises involving the upper extremities the user will attach an upper bungee cord 1304 to the bungee belt base 1301 and a glove 1200 of his or her choice. The upper bungee cord 1304 has a distal end 1312 and a proximal end 1313. The user will attach the proximal end 1313 of the upper bungee cord 1304 to bungee cord integration component 1308 of his choice. The attachment can be accomplished through a number of methods, including but not limited to, the use of a carabiner, or device of the like. In alternative embodiments, the upper bungee cord 1304 can be affixed directly to the bungee belt base 1301. Next, the user can attach the distal end 1312 of the upper bungee cord 1304 to the bungee cord attachment component 1202 of the glove 1200. This can be done by use of a carabiner or device of the like.

For exercises involving the lower extremities the user will attach a lower bungee cord 1305 to the bungee belt base 1301 and the ankle or foot of his or her choice. The lower bungee cord 1305 has a distal end 1314 and a proximal end 1315. Additionally, located on the distal end 1314 of the lower bungee cord 1305 is a leg cuff 1311. The user will attach the proximal end 1315 of the lower bungee cord 1305 to bungee cord integration component 1308 of his choice. The attachment can be accomplished through a number of methods, included but not limited to, the use of a carabiner, or device of the like. In alternative embodiments, the lower bungee cord 1305 can be affixed directly to the bungee belt base 1301. Next, the user can attach the distal end 1314 of the lower bungee cord 1305 to the ankle or foot of his or her choice using the leg cuff 1311. Once the system is fully assembled, the user can perform the workouts of his or her choice. The user can increase or decrease the intensity of the workout by adding or removing weighted items to or from the various weight compartments.

In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, sand can be added to the ankle straps and in the upper-body bungee cords for more advanced workouts, and bags of sand can be added to the slots designed for that purpose in the jacket. Extra pounds, using sand filled bags, can be added to the detachable belt when working the glutes, and the nets on the back of the belt can be filled with additional bags of sand, weighing two, three or five pounds, to make workouts more challenging.

In another preferred embodiment of the present invention, the inside of the multi-use exercise jacket is lined with a wicking material to keep the user dry and comfortable while the present invention is in use. It has a weather-proof, wind-resistant hoody and detachable sleeves, so it can be worn comfortably outdoors during warm weather.

The embodiments of the invention described herein are exemplary and numerous modifications, variations and rearrangements can be readily envisioned to achieve substantially equivalent results, all of which are intended to be embraced within the spirit and scope of the invention. Furthermore, while the preferred embodiment of the invention has been described in terms of the components and configurations, it is understood to that the invention is not intended to be limited to those specific dimensions or configurations but is to be accorded the full breadth and scope of the spirit of the invention.
