Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a cosmetic applicator, and more specifically relates to a cosmetic applicator with silicone bristles.

In the field of cosmetic products, cosmetic applicators having bristles made of fine hair have been widely used. The bristles are the most important constituent components of the product that directly contact the human body. Therefore, a good make up is determined by the utility, comfortability and safety of the bristles.

In the prior art, an ordinary cosmetic applicator is made of TPU/TPEE plastic material, and a surface of which is processed to contain a layer of fibrous hairs which can be applied with cosmetics for use. This kind of cosmetic applicator has some disadvantages, for example:

1. It is made of hard material which does not provide sufficient comfortability;

2. The hairs implanted to the surface can fall off easily, thereby seriously affecting product safety; it is not safe to directly contact the hairs with the mouths of the users who may accidentally swallow the hairs;

3. It is not suitable to be cleaned and reuse.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

In view of the aforesaid disadvantages now present in the prior art, the present invention provides a cosmetic applicator with silicone bristles that provides satisfactory comfortability and whose hairs are not easy to fall off and which can be cleaned and reused.

A cosmetic applicator with silicone bristles, comprising a hard plastic frame and the silicone bristles; the silicone bristles cover an outer periphery of the hard plastic frame and are arranged radially.

Further, the silicone bristles cover the outer periphery of the hard plastic frame by injection molding.

Further, the hard plastic frame has a mounting head; a middle section of the mounting head has a recessed circular portion.

Further, an end of the hard plastic frame has an inclined surface.

The present invention has the following beneficial advantages: By providing silicone bristles on the hard plastic frame, the present invention can be firmly assembled and will not easily fall apart, thereby increasing the service life of the present invention. Product safety is ensured, the silicone surface has a strong retaining effect of cosmetics that enhances the adherence of cosmetics, and the present invention can be cleaned repeatedly. The present invention is novel and inventive and can substitute the prior art product that uses fine hairs as the bristles.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an overall structural view of the present invention.

FIG. 2 is a top plan view showing the structure of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is further described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, with a view to clearly illustrating the object, technical scheme and advantages of the present invention.

FIGS. 1-2 illustrate the structure of the present invention.

A cosmetic applicator with silicone bristles, comprising a hard plastic frame 1 and the silicone bristles 2; the silicone bristles 2 cover an outer periphery of the hard plastic frame 1 and are arranged radially.

In the present invention, the silicone bristles 2 cover the outer periphery of the hard plastic frame 1 by means of injection molding; obviously, the silicone bristles 2 may also tightly sleeve around the outer periphery of the hard plastic frame 1. The present invention does not limit the method of disposing the silicone bristles 2 around the outer periphery of the hard plastic frame.

For more convenient use, an end of the hard plastic frame 1 has an inclined surface 11 to render the present invention more versatile in use.

The hard plastic frame 1 has a mounting head 12; a middle section of the mounting head 12 has a recessed circular portion 13, so that the present invention is dismountable to be located at a lower end of a handle.

The present invention has the following advantages:

1. The frame of the present invention is made of harder material while the bristles are made of softer plastic material which is silicone; these hard and soft materials are integrated by means of co-molding; the harder material of the frame provides firm assembly of the product that will not result in easy fall off and thus lengthen the service life of the product; the bristles are made of silicone; silicone has the advantages of having the characteristics of being environmentally friendly, soft and good at retaining cosmetics; also, silicone is usually a food-grade plastic material which ensures product safety when being used to make the present invention and prevents chemical reactions when coming into contact with different cosmetics; the soft silicone material directly contacts the human body and greatly enhances the comfortability during the make up process; strong retaining effect of cosmetics enhances the adherence of cosmetics on the silicone material and thus facilitate the make up process.

2. The silicone bristles are made directly on the surface of the frame in addition to their strong retaining effect of cosmetics that adhere with the cosmetics effectively as discussed above. Accordingly, the present invention can completely substitute the prior art product that uses fine hairs as the bristles. The present invention is novel and inventive compared with the prior art, and prevents fine hairs from falling off and thus being accidentally swollen or left on the human body. Therefore, the utility and product safety of the present invention are greatly enhanced.

3. Silicone bristles can be cleaned repeatedly and will not deform or fall off like prior art fine hairs. Therefore, the material being used is stable, and the present invention can be reused.

4. The present invention has good adaptability to be made into different shapes according to different needs.

5. The present invention cannot be made by means of common injection molding because the bristles are delicate. A novel mold is used and the present invention is made by injection molding under vacuum and negative pressure.

6. Heating systems are provided for the mold and the injection molding machine to help formation of the present invention.

The embodiment described above is only intended to illustrate the inventive concept and characteristics of the present invention so that a person skilled in the art can understand and implement the present invention. The present invention should not be considered limited by the above description. Any modifications made according to the spirit and essence of the major technical scheme of the present invention should also fall within the scope of protection of the present invention.
