PRIORITY

This application claims priority of Estonian Utility Model Application number U202000028 filed on Aug. 26, 2020, the content of which is incorporated herein by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention belongs in the field of healthcare, specifically it concerns the washing or disinfection of hands in public areas and the hand disinfection stand is equipped with a remotely controlled electronic display.

BACKGROUND

Known is a system for compliance with hygiene requirements (US2013027199, Itronik Interconnect LDT., Bonner James, published Jan. 31, 2013), where in one embodiment the monitoring device of a hygiene station comprises a hand basin with running water, soap or cleaning agent, an electronic display and sensors. The device consists of individual elements, which do not form a complete hand washing stand.

An analogy closest to the given invention is a monitoring and instruction device for hand washing (US2016133119, Bone Matthew, Mullis Josh, published May 12, 2016). In one of the embodiments of the invention the handwash monitoring device is connected to a display and a hand basin, which has a tap with a sensor and provides hand washers with instructions on how to wash hands more thoroughly. The display and tap are connected to the handwash monitoring device through connectors and wires and these parts of the device are mounted on a wall, forming a complete system. A drawback of the solution is that it lacks the possibility to install the invention in the middle of a room as a standalone unit. The display of the device is also not intended for the delivery of any other remotely controlled information.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

A standalone hand disinfection stand with an electronic display comprises a housing, where two electronic displays and two hand cleaning units are installed back-to-back to each other and comprises a disinfecting agent tap and an optional dispenser, disinfecting agent tank, hand basin, a means for drying hands, a supply of running water and a water drainage channel or a dustbin.

The tap of the hand cleaning unit is connected to a water pipe (supply of running water), the hand basin is connected to a drainage channel (sewer) fitted with a siphon, in addition there is a dispenser of disinfecting agent (soap or disinfectant) that is connected to the container of the disinfecting agent, the means used for drying hands is either a hand drier with an air compressor or the tap of the hand cleaning unit is connected to the disinfecting agent container, hands are dried with paper towels from a paper towel dispenser and a dustbin is included for used paper towels.

The tap, dispenser and hand drier of the hand cleaning unit are contactless.

The electronic display of the hand disinfection stand can be remotely controlled by means of data communication devices.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is a general view of the hand disinfection stand with an electronic display, for use with water supply.

FIG. 2 is a general view of the hand disinfection stand with an electronic display, for use without water supply.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The hand disinfection stand with an electronic display 8 comprises a housing 1, a hand cleaning unit 2 (hand washing or disinfection unit), which has a tap 3.1 and a hand basin 4.

Installed above the hand basin 4 is an electronic display 8, which is connected to a centralized remote control by means of data communication devices and is designed to display advertisements and other information. The electronic display functions independently from the hand disinfection stand.

In one of the embodiments (FIG. 1), the tap 3.1 is connected to a water pipe 6.1 (supply of running water) and the hand basin 4 is connected through a siphon 6.2.1 to a water drainage channel 6.2 (sewer), the disinfecting agent is retrieved from a separate disinfecting agent dispenser 3.2 connected to the container 3.3 of the disinfecting agent (soap or disinfectant) and hands are dried by means of a hand drier 5.1 with an air compressor 5.1.1. This preferred embodiment allows hand disinfection also with running water, which is better for the skin than using only the disinfecting agent, and hands are dried with a hand drier.

In another embodiment (FIG. 2), the tap 3.1 is connected directly to the disinfecting agent container 3.3 and hands are dried with paper towels from a paper towel dispenser 5.2 and a dustbin 7 is provided for used paper towels. This embodiment is not intended for hand disinfection under running water and hands are disinfected only with a disinfecting agent that is dispensed onto hands from a disinfecting agent container 3.3 by means of a disinfecting agent dispenser 3.2 and hands are dried with paper towels discarded into the dustbin 7 after use.

The tap 3.1 and hand basin 4 are in the centre of the hand cleaning unit 2 at such approximate height that people can comfortably use it for hand disinfection. The disinfecting agent dispenser 3.2 is above the tap 3.1 behind the lower part of the electronic display 8, while the disinfecting agent container 3.3 is in the upper part of the hand cleaning unit 2, behind the display 8, inside the housing 1. The hand drier 5.1 is preferably on the tap 3.1. The air compressor 5.1.1 of the hand drier is in the lower part of the hand cleaning unit 2, under the wash basin 4, inside the housing 1. Additionally, in the lower part of the hand cleaning unit 2 under the hand basin 4 inside the housing 1 are also water pipe 6.1, water drainage channel 6.2 and a siphon 6.3 or a dustbin 7. The paper towel dispenser 5.2 is in the upper part of the hand cleaning unit 2 behind the electronic display 8, inside the housing 1.

The tap 3.1, disinfecting agent dispenser 3.2 and hand drier 5.1 of the hand cleaning unit 2 are contactless.

The hand disinfection stand has two hand cleaning units 2 and electronic displays 8, and these are installed inside a separate housing 1 back-to-back to one another, forming thereby a complete standalone hand disinfection stand with electronic displays.

The hand disinfection stand is a standalone unit in a room. It can be installed, for example, in offices, shops, public transport terminals, banks and other public premises, but also in staircases of apartment buildings, next to elevators, by the front door or in the lobby of office buildings. Use of remotely controlled (utilising data communication devices) electronic advertisements contributes to using the hand disinfection stand also for displaying advertisements and other information in addition to washing and disinfection of hands, making it economically more attractive for use and installation in public premises.
