The present invention comprises a product such as clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, luggage, cases, wallets, jewelry, watches and eyeglasses containing a wearable electronic device embedded in a product that can be scanned by an external device, comprising: a camera located on a phone, tablet, or reading apparatus in which information obtained from the wearable electronic device is transferred to an external device software application or internet website to retrieve and view purchase, product and marketing information.

Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to Wearable Technology, also known as “wearable”, this technology is a category of electronic devices that can be worn as accessories and embedded in clothing and accessories.

BACKGROUND

Merchandise designers and commercial businesses have utilized methods of providing proof of sales, ownership and authenticity of products with point of purchase sales receipts and specific number codes printed or stamped within each product.

Wearable Technology offers an effective way for consumers to register, retrieve and provide such purchase information and can offer a new way for businesses to market products and services.

Thus, there is a need for an electronic device (“Wearable”) to be embedded in clothing and accessories (“Product”) to enable consumers to register such items as a form of verification of purchase, product authenticity and for businesses to market products and services.

BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention comprises a product such as clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, luggage, cases, wallets, jewelry, watches and eyeglasses containing a Wearable attached to the Product and can be scanned by another external electronic device (“External Device”), comprising: a camera located on a phone, tablet, or reading apparatus in which information obtained from the Wearable is transferred to an External Device application or internet website in which the consumer can retrieve and view purchase, product and marketing information.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of one example of a Product (T-Shirt) with one example of the perspective placement of a Wearable attached to the product.

FIG. 2 points out the perspective placement of the Wearable.

FIG. 3 depicts an example of an External Device (Cell phone) used to scan the attached Wearable.

FIG. 4 describes the process in which information obtained from the Wearable is transferred to an External Device Software Application or Internet Website to retrieve and view purchase, product and marketing information.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

In describing the invention, it will be understood that a number of techniques and steps are disclosed. Each of these has individual benefit and each can also be used in conjunction with one or more, or in some cases all, of the other disclosed techniques. Accordingly, for the sake of clarity, this description will refrain from repeating every possible combination of the individual steps in an unnecessary fashion. Nevertheless, the specification and claims should be read with the understanding that such combinations are entirely within the scope of the invention and the claims.

The present invention comprises a product such as clothing, shoes, belts, handbags, luggage, cases, wallets, jewelry, watches and eyeglasses containing a wearable, comprising: an electronic device attached to the product and can be scanned by an external device, comprising: a camera located on a phone, tablet, or reading apparatus in which information obtained from the wearable is transferred to an external device software application or internet website to retrieve and view purchase, product and marketing information.

The present disclosure is to be considered as an exemplification of the invention, and is not intended to limit the invention to the specific embodiments illustrated by the figures or description below.

The present invention will now be described by referencing the appended figures representing preferred embodiments. FIG. 1 depicts a perspective view of one example of an article of clothing (the “product”) according to various embodiments of the present invention.

As shown in FIG. 2, the element of the electronic device (the “wearable”) is positioned and embedded in the product.

FIG. 3 illustrates an example of an external electronic device (“external device”) comprised of a camera, which is used to scan the embedded wearable.

FIG. 4 describes the process in which information scanned by a camera of an external device obtained from the wearable is transferred to an external device Software Application or Internet Website to retrieve and view purchase, product and marketing information.

Although the present invention has been illustrated and described herein with reference to preferred embodiments and specific examples thereof, it will be readily apparent to those of ordinary skill in the art that other embodiments and examples may perform similar functions and/or achieve like results. All such equivalent embodiments and examples are within the spirit and scope of the present invention, are contemplated thereby, and are intended to be covered by the following claims.
