Stairsavers
Stair savers is a u shaped bracket for securing old steps where the original wooden stringer is failing. It is made of solid half inch thick square mild steel drilled in two planes and reaching from the continues part of the stringer to the steps and riser. As stair saver is made of solid steel it can be removed at a later time and used to make new stringers.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTIONOwning buildings with older outdoor stairs, we've long looked for a solution to this problem. Wooden stringers are end-grain and won't hold a screw and the triangle wants to break off with the grain anyway, this makes the steps warp and rock back and forth.
BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONStair Saver screws into the continuous part of the stringer and up into the step and riser. eliminating the triangle and locking down the stairs and riser. These are solid ½ inch square steel bars, Additionally, if you ever want to replace the stairs entirely just re-use them to make new stringers.

Claims
1. Stair savers connects the continuous grain of the stringer to the steps and riser.
2. Stair savers adapts to whatever rise/run slope your stairs are at.
3. Stair savers are made of solid metal and largely unaffected by corrosion.
4. Stair savers can be removed later and repurposed to make new stringers
5. As stair savers are made of solid metal, it's strength easily exceeds what is needed even while drilled in two separate planes.
