FIG. 2 is a perspective view of a segment of the shoe sole as taken from the upper right edge of FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view taken along section lines 3--3 of FIG 1; and

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along section lines 4--4 of FIG. 1.
