Abstract: A color photographic diffusion transfer process in which a color photographic material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer and a layer adjacent to said silver halide emulsion layer, said layer containing a dye developer, is image-wise exposed, brought into superposed position with an image-receiving element, and then treated with an alkaline processing solution to immobilize the dye developer at the exposed portions of the silver halide emulsion layer and diffusion-transfer the dye developer at the nonexposed portions of the silver halide emulsion layer to the image-receiving element, with the alkali processing being conducted in the presence of 6,6',7,7' -tetrahydroxy-4,4,4',4'-tetramethyl-bis-2,2'-.Iadd.spirochroman. .Iaddend..[.spirocumarone.].
Abstract: Ammonium phosphate solutions free of precipitates are prepared from wet-process phosphoric acid containing incidental metallic impurities such as iron, aluminum and magnesium by concentration of the phosphoric acid to an anhydrous state and the formation of acyclic polyphosphoric acids therein which prevent the precipitation of the metallic impurities upon neutralization. The acid is heated to a temperature greater than 120.degree. C. at atmospheric or subatmospheric pressures while removing the volatile impurities and thereafter is neutralized with ammonia. The neutralization step can be performed at elevated temperatures with anhydrous ammonia or the acid can be cooled and neutralized at ambient temperatures. The resulting ammonium phosphate is diluted with water to obtain an ammonium phosphate solution which is clear and free of precipitates.
Abstract: The convergence coil assembly comprises a frame plate with guides at an angle of 120.degree. to receive three coil housings which are slidable radially to compensate for variations in the diameter of the tube neck. At their inner ends the housings have flanges receiving a resilient clamp ring to draw them against the tube neck. The clamp ring may be hooked to provide different degrees of tension. Indicators provide visual alignment of the magnets with a desired part of the gun. A permanent magnet on the outer end of the core of the electromagnets is rotatable for adjustment, and there are means to hold the adjustment.
Abstract: Canine ear implant for strengthening the defective auricular cartilage of the canine ear is formed of a sheet of flexible porous polymeric material adapted in size and shape to be positioned adjacent to either side of the auricular cartilage. The polymeric material comprises a network of interconnected pores throughout its volume having an average pore diameter of between 20 .mu.m - 300 .mu.m, the average pore volume being at least 30%.
Abstract: The artificial wrist serves to connect an arm prosthesis shaft to an implement and comprises distal retaining means, a proximal retaining member adapted to extend into said prosthesis shaft and formed with first and second engaging surfaces, locking means interlocking with said distal retaining means and said first engaging surface to hold said distal retaining means and said proximal retaining member axially together, a sliding surface bearing adapted to rotatably connect an implement to said distal retaining means, and rotatable coupling means which engage said second engaging surface and are adapted to engage said prothesis shaft.
Abstract: A bifocal lens implanted in the anterior chamber of the eye having an air space in the upper lens edge to position the lens at the upper edge of the pupil in dilated and constricted state.
Abstract: A coated paper product which is shaped so as to conform with the shape of the exposed surface area of the water in a commode, which paper is biodegradable and contains coated or impregnated thereon a biocidal and/or germicidal material, and which paper effectively eliminates the splash of the commode water upon the deposition of fecal matter on the surface thereof.
Abstract: A bathtub safety liner-spray apparatus that includes padding for comfort and safety and a multiplicity of spray heads that provide a shower effect within the bathtub's cavity.
Abstract: An invalid transport is disclosed for supporting an invalid person to allow their ready transportation to, and facilitated entry into, an automobile. The supporting seat of the transport raises and tilts to position the invalid directly inside the automobile. Transfer of the invalid from the transport seat to the automobile seat is then safely and easily accomplished.

Abstract: A mooring terminal for deep water mooring is provided having a mooring head to which ships can be attached while either receiving or unloading liquid products. The mooring head is constructed so that it can accommodate all motions of the ship and includes a pair of yoke arms carrying hoses external from the mooring head to the ship. The yoke arms are attached to the mooring head in a manner to be able to pivot about a horizontal axis. The mooring head is supported above a deck which can rotate about a vertical axis in a manner to be rotatable about an axis orthogonal to the axis about which the yoke arms rotate. A pipe extends through the tower and at the top is coupled to the hoses by means which are pivotable about the same axes as the mooring head.
Abstract: A life preserver or other body-buoying equipment is provided with straps extending from its opposite sides, and the two pieces of a buckle are fastened to the respective ends of the straps. The two pieces of the buckle can be engaged with one another and disengaged only when the pieces are swiveled toward one another at an angle of less than 90.degree.. The invention includes the two-piece buckle itself as well as the combination of the two pieces of the buckle on the ends of the belt means extending from the sides of such body-buoying equipment.
Abstract: Apparatus for processing the margins of work, both circular and non-circular, has a rotatable work holder provided with a clamping member to clamp work against a template. The processing is typically that of bringing the work to the size and shape established by the template and is effected by at least one tool. The disclosed apparatus has a pair of tools, both rotatable and each having a different function and the tools and their drive are carried by structure provided with means to reciprocate it between an inoperative position and a position in which the tools are in engagement with the periphery of the work. When the work is non-circular, the work holder and its drive so turn the work that its periphery advances into contact with the tools at a controlled rate.
