Abstract: A clear polyphenylene ether composition having improved impact strength comprising said polyphenylene ether and a block copolymer having a resinous block and a rubbery block wherein the resinous block is relatively high molecular weight and is derived from either styrene or butadiene with a resinous content of the block copolymer being within the range of 45 to 58 weight percent.

Abstract: Detection and extraction of unknown signal in noise may be important in radar When an unknown signal of a transient nature is received, representation in terms of basis functions, localized in both time and frequency, such as Gabor representation, may be very useful for signal detection. By using time-frequency decomposition, noise energy tends to spread across entire time-frequency domain, while signal energy often concentrates within a small region with a limited time interval and frequency band. Signal recognition in the time-frequency domain becomes easier than that in either time or frequency domain. By setting a CFAR threshold for and examining time-frequency Gabor coefficients which exceed the threshold, presence of a signal may be determined. CFAR time-frequency processing for detection and extraction of signals in noise improves detection and extraction performance for low Signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) signals.
Abstract: A heat sealable, co-extruded multi-layer packaging film with a peelable, easy-opening feature, comprising a first layer which comprises a blend of polypropylene and a primary resin. The primary resin may comprise ionomers or other acid copolymers, ethylene vinyl acetate, low density polyethylene, or linear low density polyethylene. The first layer is disposed in contact with a second outer layer, which is a heat sealant layer, comprising polybutylene. The heat sealant layer separates from said first layer when force is applied to the heat seal. The film may be laminated to additional components, and may be heat sealed to itself or to a similar film to form a package.
