  • Patent number: 5794374
Abstract: The gun barrel stabilizer system of the present invention increases or optimizes the accuracy of guns including small arms and artillery. The invention consists of a device called a gun barrel stabilizer rigidly attached at the gun muzzle, and extending toward the gun breech, without further contact with the gun barrel or other gun components. The device responds to the same forces which cause recoil motion and, by virtue of its cantilever nature, resists angular deflection of the gun muzzle during firing. The stabilizer system, in an optimized state, serves to maintain the final segment of the gun barrel at the muzzle moving though a locus of parallel positions up to the time of projectile release. In the absence of angular deflection at the muzzle, gun accuracy is increased to a maximum allowed by the remaining limitations of cartridge performance and barrel bore quality.

  • Patent number: 5794391
Abstract: A lightweight, highly portable, yet strong, fiberglass step unit is presented. The fiberglass step unit is tapered to allow removal of the unit from the mold during the two-step manufacturing process. All of the corners and edges of the fiberglass unit are rounded, thus providing strengthening radii at critical points of the construction of the unit. In addition to the strength of the fiberglass, strengthening braces are placed inside the unit and are sealed to the main portion of the unit with an additional application of fiberglass. These strengthening braces provide additional radii which synergistically add to the strength and reliability of the step. A heating coil may also be fabricated within the fiberglass step thickness itself thus providing a highly portable, lightweight, unitary step which may be electrified to prevent the accumulation of snow or ice on the step.

  • Patent number: 5794393
Abstract: A pre-fabricated building foundation form assembly is installed beneath a building floor which is temporarily supported in its final position. The form assembly comprises a plurality of form stiffeners which are spaced apart along a proposed foundation wall and extend downwardly from the floor, each stiffener having laterally spaced apart inner and outer edges. A flexible sheet form element has laterally spaced apart upper portions connected to the edges of the stiffeners and a lower portion spaced below the stiffeners so as to form an essentially continuous elongated container below the stiffeners and in contact with the site surface. A flowable and settable foundation material essentially fills a space within the container and between the flexible sheet forms and extends essentially continuously upwardly from the site surface to a lower surface of the floor assembly to support the floor assembly thereon when the foundation material has cured.

  • Patent number: 5794396
Abstract: A roof mounting assembly includes rows of pans mounted to the understructure of a roof by hooking the pans around support tracks. Rows of roofing panels are mounted over the respective rows of pans with adjacent roofing panels generally abutting each other to create a joint located above the central area of an underlying pan so that the pan acts as a barrier to prevent rain water and the like from flowing through the joint and directly to the understructure. By using underlying pans to prevent leakage, it is possible to minimize the amount of panel overlapping. The panels are preferably mounted to the tracks by separate hook members. The upper end of each panel is between and against an overlying panel and an underlying track.
