Abstract: A distinctive cultivar of Scaevola plant named Blue Shamrock, characterized by its low-growing, compact and outwardly spreading growth habit; short internodes, dense and bushy plant form and freely branching plant habit; fluoriferousness with about 150 flowers and flower buds per plant; and large blue-purple fan-shaped flowers.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of peach tree which has a low winter chilling requirement of approximately 300 chill units (cu). The tree is of large size, is highly vigorous with a semi upright growth habit and has showy pink flowers. Glands are small and reniform in shape and isolated to the basal portions of leaves. This tree, which has been denominated ‘UF2000’ is a regular bearer of heavy crops which are large for the moderately early ripening season, with yellow and very firm non-melting flesh, clingstone fruit. Fruit are uniform, attractive, substantially symmetrical shape, and have an attractive normally 50 to 70% solid red skin. The fruit ripens 15 to 18 days after ‘UFGold’ in mid-to late May at Gainesville.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Dimorphotheca plant named ‘Purple Blush’, characterized by its upright and mounding growth habit; dark green leaves; freely branching habit; white ray florets with purple bases which gives the appearance of a purple ring at the center of the inflorescence; numerous inflorescences per plant; and relative tolerance to high temperatures.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of peach Prunus persica tree with the following combination of unique features that are desirable in a new variety.
1. Heavy and regular production of fruit.
2. Production of very firm, white flesh fruit with good handling and shipping quality.
3. Fruit that will stay firm on the tree 10 to 17 days after maturity (shipping ripe).
4. Fruit with excellent flavor and eating quality.
5. Middle season maturity of white flesh fruit.
6. Fruit having a skin with pink overspread with light yellow.
7. Vigorous half-open growth.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Chrysanthemum plant named ‘Yoreno’, characterized by its upright, outwardly spreading and uniformly mounded plant habit; vigorous and strong growth habit; freely branching habit; strong, dark green foliage; uniform flowering; nine-week response time; numerous large daisy-type inflorescences that are about 7.5 cm in diameter; dark orange-colored ray florets that doesn't fade; ray florets held upright; large disc with dark green disc florets that are slow to mature to bright yellow; good postproduction longevity with inflorescences and leaves maintaining good substance and color for about two to three weeks in an interior environment; and excellent year-round production performance.

Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Spiraea japonica named ‘Golden Elf’ that is characterized by a dwarf plant habit, a miniature aspect of the leaves, attractive golden leaf coloration from spring to first frost, a smooth and compact canopy, disease and insect tolerance and does not flower. The new variety is particularly interesting as a hardy outdoor ground cover for garden decoration and landscape use.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Sutera plant named ‘Novasnow’, characterized by its low-growing and cascading plant habit; very strong plants; vigorous and freely branching growth habit; large dark green leaves; very large white-colored flowers; and long and continuous flowering period.
Abstract: A distinctive cultivar of Scaevola plant named White Champ, characterized by its low-growing, spreading and cascading growth habit; short internodes; dense and bushy plant form and freely branching plant habit; freely flowering habit with more than 200 flowers and flower buds per plant; and unique large white fan-shaped flowers with yellow green throat.
Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Anthurium plant named ‘Atwenty’, characterized by its dwarf growth habit; high vigor; early and freely flowering habit; large spathes in proportion to the overall plant size; spathes held slightly above or at the foliage level on straight, thick and strong peduncles; salmon pink-colored spathes with various amounts of green coloration in the lobes; bright yellow-colored spadices; and long-lasting spathes.
Abstract: CLAIM
The ornamental design for an indirect ophthalmoscopy lens retaining ring, as shown and described.
DESCRIPTION
FIG. 1 is a side elevational view of an indirect opthalmoscopy lens retaining ring, showing my new design;
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view taken along lines 2—2 of FIG. 1;
FIG. 3 2 is an end elevational view taken from the left of FIG. 1 and;
FIG. 4 3 is an end elevational view taken from the right of FIG. 1.
Abstract: An atomic force microscope includes a tip mounted on a micromachined cantilever. As the tip scans a surface to be investigated, interatomic forces between the tip and the surface induce displacement of the tip. A laser beam is transmitted to and reflected from the cantilever for measuring the cantilever orientation. In a preferred embodiment the laser beam has an elliptical shape. The reflected laser beam is detected with a position-sensitive detector, preferably a bicell. The output of the bicell is provided to a computer for processing of the data for providing a topographical image of the surface with atomic resolution.

Abstract: A pressurized internal circulating fluidized-bed boiler is incorporated in a combined-cycle electric generating system in which a fuel such as coal, petro coke or the like is combusted in a pressurized fluidized bed and an exhaust gas produced by the combusted fuel is introduced into a gas turbine. The pressurized internal circulating fluidized-bed boiler includes a pressure vessel, a combustor disposed in the pressure vessel and a main fluidized bed combustion chamber provided with an air diffusion device. A thermal energy recovery chamber is partitioned from the main combustion chamber by an inclined partition wall. A fluidized medium flows into and out of the main combustion chamber and the thermal energy recovery chamber. A free board is provided integrally above the main combustion chamber and the thermal energy recovery chamber so that combustion gas from the main combustion chamber and the thermal energy recovery chamber is mixed in the free board.
Abstract: The mobile station to base station access in a cellular radio system is a classical problem of random multiple access using a shared common channel. Many multiple access protocols have been invented in the past with varied degrees of success in improving the throughput of the multiple access channel. The current invention is a new multiple access protocol which enhances the throughput and reduces the access delay by providing feedback of the detailed status of the access channel from the base station to the mobile station. The feedback mechanism and multiple access protocol are also applicable to other types of radio or wire-based channels.
