  • Patent number: 6276062
Abstract: A blade cartridge including three or more blades fixed between a platform member and a cap member. The present invention provides improved triple blade geometry where five contact surfaces with the skin are considered, including the edges of each of the blades, a skin contacting surface on the guard member and a skin contacting surface on the cap member. The five contacting surfaces are oriented at an equal distance from a common axis in order to ensure that the shaving forces normal to the contacting surfaces are shared by all of the contacting surfaces. The arrangement of the present invention provides optimal blade geometry, thereby producing a close and comfortable shave. Additionally, the blades of the present invention are movable to a less aggressive position in response to applied shaving forces.

  • Patent number: 6276063
Abstract: A folding knife with a safety for blade is provided. When a blade of the folding knife has been turned to an extended position, a slip switch of the safety for blade is moved to a safety lock position to depress a push element, so that the push element engages a lower end with a first locking hole on the blade, preventing the blade from undesirably closing in the event a blade lock of the folding knife is unexpectedly released or the blade is subject to an over big impact. On the other hand, when the blade has been turned to a folded position in a handle of the knife and the slip switch is moved to the safety lock position, the push element engages its lower end with a second locking hole on the blade to prevent the blade from undesirably separating from the handle. The safety for blade therefore provides the folding knife with a further means to ensure the safe use of the folding knife.

  • Patent number: 6276065
Abstract: A blade is inserted into a slit which extends in an axial direction of a plunger. A bore extends in a direction normal to the axial direction of the plunger and merges with the slit. A locking pin is slidably disposed in the bore. A blade holder is coupled around the plunger and slidable in the axial direction of the plunger. The blade holder shifts in an axially forward direction to generate a pushing force applied to the locking pin. The locking pin engages with a hole of the blade. Furthermore, the blade holder shifts in an axially rearward direction to release the pushing force applied to the locking pin. The locking pin disengages from the hole of the blade.

  • Patent number: 6276068
Abstract: An Archery Sight with Zero Pin Spacing Capability consisting of a mounting assembly and a fixed pin assembly. The fixed pin assembly consists of channel containing a plurality of horizontal sight pins each mounted to a vertical support. The stack of the plurality of vertical supports are held rigid by friction from a compression force from screws positioned through the sides of a channel. The sight pin vertical supports may be separated by separating components that are fixed in the vertical direction so that moving one sight pin does not affect other sight pins. The sight pins are moved by finger pressure or by adjusting screw when the compression force is released by loosening other screws. With the above configuration, the pins may be moved so that they touch one another. The fixed pin assembly can be adjusted horizontally and vertically by means in the mounting assembly.

  • Patent number: 6276091
Abstract: An assembly for use in a generally rectangular sliding doorway. The assembly includes two sliding glass doors and a stationary screen that are provided in the doorway. The sliding glass doors can be slid within the doorway to allow access across the doorway, to seal the doorway, or to permit ventilation across the doorway through the screen. The assembly also includes a coupling rod provided in a frame of one of the sliding glass doors to be selectively extended into a frame of the other sliding glass door. The sliding glass doors can be locked together to slide as a unit in a fixed relation to each other. The sliding glass doors can also be locked together to lock the sliding glass doors in a closed position to seal the doorway. The same coupling rod serves to lock the sliding glass doors together in the position where they slide together as a unit and in the closed position. The assembly is fully adjustable to be configured with the screen on the right or left side of the doorway.

  • Patent number: 6276092
Abstract: A combined sliding and pivot window assembly including a plurality of sashes separately pivotally mounted on substantially C-shaped sash support frames that are slidably fixed on rails provided on an outer window frame. The window assembly includes combined sliding and locking mechanisms that allow the C-shaped sash support frames to slide on the rails when the sashes are pivotally closed, or to be locked on the rails when the sashes are pivotally opened, or to be pushed to one side in the outer window frame while allowing all the sashes to be pivotally opened; pivot mechanisms that allow the sashes to be pivotally opened and stay at any desired open position relative to the sash support frames; and elastic two-end locking mechanisms that are mounted in a vertical member of the sashes to lock the sashes at upper and lower ends to the sash support frames simply by laterally shifting an external adjusting key of the two-end locking mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6276094
Abstract: A Lightweight Pre-engineered prefabricated modular Building System comprised of nine pre-fabricated structural members and two prefabricated connectors which create the entire building main frame system. A multiple use principal structural member is utilized as columns. The connectors are right angle connectors; each employing a configuration of holes and slots for securing structural members to create a rigid attachment of rafters to columns. The same connectors can be employed to establish a shallow pitch or a steep pitch roof pitch through selection of the holes and slot positions used to bolt the structural frame together. Eave struts, purlins and girts are attached to mainframes and used to attach sheathing to the structural frame. Alternatively, a “V” shaped stiffener can be employed with the columns.

  • Patent number: 6276095
Abstract: A support structure including a first and a second upper ring member. The support structure further includes a lower circular foundation of a diameter greater than the diameters of the first and second upper ring members. A plurality of initially straight and elongated structural members extend from each of the upper ring members. Extending from each of the ring members are an equal number of structural members. The structural members extend radially at angular intervals on both the upper and lower rings. Each of the structural members have a first and a second lateral end. The structural members are secured at their first lateral ends to either the first or second upper ring members. The structural members are further secured at their second lateral ends to the lower foundation. Thereafter, the structural members are manipulated to create a lattice formation comprised of S-shaped, elastically-modified structural members.

  • Patent number: 6276096
Abstract: A structure intended for above-ground use has a floor support structure including at least one substantially horizontal member. A floor sheet having an upper surface and an area bounded by a perimeter is supported by the floor support structure, and at least one wall extends upwardly from the floor sheet. In order to preclude rodents and other small vertebrates from the interior of the structure, the structure is provided with an intrusion barrier disposed between the substantially horizontal member and the floor sheet. The intrusion barrier underlies substantially all of the area of the floor sheet and, at the perimeter of the floor sheet, extends upwardly to at least the upper surface of the floor sheet so that rodents and other small vertebrates are precluded from entering the structure from below. The structure may also have a roof including exterior roofing material, a support system for the exterior roofing material, and a second intrusion barrier overlaying the support system.

  • Patent number: 6276101
Abstract: A surround molding assembly is disclosed for a doorway window or window of a structure such as a residential home or commercial building. The surround molding assembly may include various embodiments of pilasters, end and corner members, and mantel members that may be fastened to one another or the structure with limited use and visibility of external fasteners. In one embodiment, a decorative molding strip includes a base strip and a decorative strip interconnected by a living hinge. The decorative strip may be pivoted about the living hinge to a closed position over the base strip to hide internally located fasteners. In another embodiment an extension cap is interconnected between a corner member and a decorative molding strip or pilaster without external fasteners. As a result, the molding assemblies of the present invention simplify assembly while providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance free of external fasteners.
