Each upper end is provided with retaining means for preventing the latch member from becoming disengaged from the journals.     Abstract: A door stop for hollow walls having two drywall surfaces. The door stop comprises a cylindrical housing having an outwardly turned flange serving as a trim plate engaging the drywall surface exposed to the door knob of a swinging door. The flange is located at the exposed end of the housing. A piston occupies and is entrapped within a chamber formed in the housing. The piston is exposed to the door knob and presents surface roughly flush with the outer surface of the wall. The piston receives impacts when the door is swung so that the door knob strikes the wall. A spring inside the housing decelerates the piston responsive to the door being swung until contact with the wall ensues, and subsequently returns the piston to its original position. The chamber of the housing communicates to the exterior by a small orifice, so that piston movement is pneumatically dampened.

    Abstract: The present invention provides an ergonomical handle for a power tool that reduces the risk of injury to an operator's wrist or forearm by redirecting torsional forces to the operator's upper arm and reducing the force provided by the tool operator necessary to resist the torque produced by the tool. The handle includes a concave channel and a means for attaching the handle to a tool adjacent to the barrel of the tool, such as an annular collar with a substantially elliptical outer diameter. In a preferred embodiment, the channel includes an inner side wall and an outer side wall that are curved in a nonparallel fashion so as to mirror the planar and dorsal sides of a hand. In use, a tool operator inserts a hand into the channel. The side walls of the channel frictionally engage the operator's hand so that the operator may operate the tool without gripping the barrel thereof.

    Abstract: There is disclosed a belt clip capable of being clipped onto a user's belt or garment edge for carrying small items like a pager or a cellular telephone. The belt clip comprises a belt clip body with a bottom flange that has two different flange surfaces. The first flange surface is flat and abuts the back of the cellular telephone when the cellular telephone is attached to the belt clip. The second flange surface is also flat but lies in a plane that is disposed at an angle with respect to the plane of the first flange surface. The second flange surface does not abut the back of the cellular telephone. A space is formed between the second flange surface and the back of the cellular telephone to facilitate the placement of the combination of the belt clip and cellular telephone on the user's belt or garment edge. The space also facilitates the removal of the combination of the belt clip and cellular telephone from the user's belt or garment edge.

The working head includes axially aligned bottom and top members separated by spacer posts. The bottom member includes an annular ring with a center aperture and an upstanding cylindrical sidewall, and magnets on the annular ring within the sidewall. The shaft/handle are connected to the top member and extend upward from the working head in axial alignment with it. Axial movement of the working head along the valve stem and against the valve spring compresses the spring to release the keepers from the valve stem for attachment to the magnets.

    Abstract: A method of applying a matching layer to a transducer includes placing the transducer on a fixture and covering the transducer with a stencil so that an opening in the stencil allows access to a metal-coated, piezoelectric surface of the transducer, and so that the stencil is affixed to the transducer surface. A roughly cylindrically shaped bead of epoxy is extruded onto the stencil at a predetermined distance from the opening, and a blade is positioned upstanding relative to the transducer surface and located so that the bead lies between the blade and the opening. The fixture is moved laterally so that the blade rolls the bead across the exposed transducer surface to form a layer of epoxy thereon. The fixture can then be moved back in the opposite direction to its initial position if desired. The assembly can also be subjected to a vacuum before the fixture is returned to its initial position. If desired, the fixture can be designed to vibrate during movement.

The method includes steps of repeatedly measuring the curvature of the ABS and scribing lines (e.g. with a laser scribing tool) on the back surface to partially adjust the curvature of the ABS. In each measuring/scribing installment, the curvature of the ABS is measured and compared with a final target curvature to determine a curvature difference between the measured curvature and final target curvature. Each installment of scribing lines corrects for a predetermined percentage of the curvature difference. The predetermined percentage may be different in succeeding installments. Alternatively, each installment changes the curvature of the slider to match an intermediate target curvature. In a three-installment process, for example, there will be two intermediate target curvatures and a final target curvature.

Since connectors and electric wires are positively held by the fixtures, the shape of the wire harness is not collapsed, and the fixtures are used not only as temporary fixtures but also as final fixtures to attach the wire harness onto the interior panel. Accordingly, when the automobile manufacturer attaches the interior panel to an automobile body, the wire harness is simultaneously incorporated into the automobile body.

After that, the nozzle blade body is inserted into the holes of the first and second support platen so as to weld the nozzle blade body thereto by using a laser beam.

A method for making a reliable heat sink includes a preparing step, a punching step and a flattening step. The punching step comprises punching the connecting portions of the fins against the base plate thereby integrating the connecting portions with the base plate, forming concave sections in the connecting portions and convex sections on an opposite lower surface of the base plate.

Different embodiments of the invention have sets of grooves which define different shapes.
