Abstract: A golf glove having a golf tee retaining pouch and a covering flap. The pouch is located on the back portion of the glove, i.e., the side opposite the palm, so as not to interfere with the engagement of the golfer's hand with the golf club. To insure that the tees will not fall from the pouch when the flap is opened, elastic members may assist in retaining the tees with or without the assistance of small end pockets. An adjustment mechanism may also be used with the flap.

  • Publication number: 20020010965
Abstract: A cleaning system that utilizes an organic cleaning solvent and pressurized fluid solvent is disclosed. The system has no conventional evaporative hot air drying cycle. Instead, the system utilizes the solubility of the organic solvent in pressurized fluid solvent as well as the physical properties of pressurized fluid solvent. After an organic solvent cleaning cycle, the solvent is extracted from the textiles at high speed in a rotating drum in the same way conventional solvents are extracted from textiles in conventional evaporative hot air dry cleaning machines. Instead of proceeding to a conventional drying cycle, the extracted textiles are then immersed in pressurized fluid solvent to extract the residual organic solvent from the textiles. This is possible because the organic solvent is soluble in pressurized fluid solvent. After the textiles are immersed in pressurized fluid solvent, pressurized fluid solvent is pumped from the drum.

Abstract: A slide hammer tool is particularly useful for replacing worn teeth of a trenching machine. The teeth are retained in chain links of the trenching machine by respective open keeper rings. The tool has a rod with stops proximate both ends. A hammer is slidable on the rod between the stops. On one rod end is a wedge with converging surfaces that match radial surfaces on the keeper rings. The other end of the rod has a concave surface that matches the keeper ring outer diameter. To remove the keeper ring from a worn tooth, the wedge converging surfaces are abutted against the keeper ring radial surfaces. The hammer is rapidly struck against the corresponding stop. The impact of the hammer on the stop is transmitted to the wedge converging surfaces and to the keeper ring radial surfaces. The impact is sufficient to cause the keeper ring opening to expand, and the keeper ring is pushed off the tooth.

Abstract: A blind hole bushing puller and method, wherein the puller comprises: a rectangular cross block having a first end-portion and a second end portion, a pair of elongated leg screws, a circular bushing insert, and a bolt with a matching washer and a nut. Each of the end-portions of the cross block have a threaded leg hole formed therethrough, the cross block also has a centrally located unthreaded cross block hole. One of the leg screws passes through one of the threaded leg holes, and the other leg screw passes through the other threaded leg hole. The bushing insert has a centrally located unthreaded bushing insert hole and is sized to snugly fit about an inside diameter of the bushing. The bolt is sized to pass through the bushing insert hole and the cross block hole with a head of the bolt being positioned adjacent an upper portion of the bushing insert.

Abstract: A compromise rail is formed of a single length of stock rail. One end of the rail is forged over a distance of 19-48 inches to reduce the height of the forged portion, which is then machined to match the running rail to which that end is to be attached. The invention avoids the expense and inconvenience of flash butt welding a forged section to a uniform profile rail as is done in prior art compromise rails.

Abstract: The process for the preparation of a battery according to the present invention comprises the following steps. An electricity-generating element having a positive electrode lead member and a negative electrode lead member drawn therefrom is inserted into a battery case. The opening of the battery case is sealed with both the positive electrode lead member and the negative electrode lead member leading to the exterior thereof. The position of the battery case and the electricity-generating element relative to each other is fixed. The positive electrode lead member and/or the negative electrode lead member are worked into an external terminal with a predetermined position on said battery case as reference. In accordance with this preparation process, the position of the external terminals can be corrected by working the lead members even if there is some variation in the position of the lead members.

Abstract: In accordance with a component mounting method, a component stored in a component feeder is held by a component holding member and is then mounted in a mounting position on an object. The method includes, when a mounting posture of the component in which the component is mounted onto the object is inclined with respect to a basic posture of the component by a mounting angle, the operation of holding the component from the component feeder by the component holding member that has preliminarily been rotated to the mounting angle in such a direction as to depart from a reference posture of the component holding member prior to the mounting of the component on the object. And afterwards, the component holding member is rotated in a specified direction to finally return the component holding member to the reference posture, and then the component is mounted on the object.

Abstract: A high density integrated test probe and method of fabrication is described. A group of wires are ball bonded to contact locations on the surface of a fan out substrate. The wires are sheared off leaving a stub, the end of which is flattened by an anvil. Before flattening a sheet of material having a group of holes is arranged for alignment with the group of stubs is disposed over the stubs. The sheet of material supports the enlarged tip. The substrate with stubs form a probe which is moved into engagement with contact locations on a work piece such as a drip or packaging substrate.

Two tubes are inserted into one another to form a double tube. The double tube is placed in a first internal high-pressure shaping tool, and exposed to internal high pressure fluid such that it expands to match the contours of the engraving of the first shaping tool, and a double-walled branch stub is blown out of the double tube. The partially formed double tube is then placed in a second internal high-pressure shaping tool, with the double tube being surrounded, between the two ends including the branch stub, circumferentially and throughout by a corresponding design of the engraving, by an expansion chamber.

Abstract: Disclosed are electronic plumb indicators for monopoles, survey poles, global positioning antennas and the like. A exemplary plumb indicator comprises a substrate, a plumb bob suspended by a thread (e.g., wire, cable, string, etc.) and disposed over a first surface of the substrate, and a probe. The substrate has an array of conductive pads disposed over its first surface, preferably in a regular pattern. The probe has a first body portion held by the plumb bob but allowed to move freely in the vertical direction, and a conductive tip disposed between the plumb bob and the first surface of the substrate. The probe tip makes contact with the first surface of the substrate, and contacts one or more pads in normal operation. The pads may be scanned electronically to determine the location of the probe tip and plumb bob with respect to the substrate.
