Abstract: A high-visibility technical arm band with at least one pocket, made up of basically a rectangular strap with reciprocal holding means at each end to form a ring shape, and in which the said strap has a surface made out of high-visibility material on the outer side, and to which a pocket, with an opening which may be opened and closed if required, is joined; the said strap, in correspondence with the rear side which adheres to the underlying surface, has a combination of materials which, distributed in a longitudinal manner, are used to improve the friction with the said surface.

Abstract: A system of components that cooperate to shield the exposed skin of the ears, forehead and neck against contact by a hot curling iron includes a head band, an ear piece, and neck shield. The ear pieces fit over the ears, cupping the tops and backs of the ears to both protect them and derive support for the system from them. The head band and neck shield attach to ear pieces and are made of a heat resistant fabric. The three components will not prevent burns in every case but can prevent or limit injury from the proximity of the hot curling iron and harm from the occasional, inadvertent touching of the iron.

Abstract: A head worn apparatus having a pair of rearwardly disposed elongated support arm assemblies having movable portions which are positionally adjustable to provide increased wearer comfort attached to a head-worn device such as a visor or eyeglasses. The support arm assemblies each include a an articulating segment and/or head gripping region pivotally coupled to the head-worn apparatus. The articulating segment include means for providing a constant inward compressive force by means of increased resistance for rotating articulating segments outwardly, thereby securing the head-worn device onto a wearer's head.

Abstract: A type of lightweight, multi-use headware is provided which has a concealable elastic loop on one or both sides of the headware for temporarily receiving a small illuminating device that allows the handle of the illuminating device to be securely held within the elastic loop of the headware. When the illuminating device is removed from the elastic loop, the loop may be concealed within the headware so that the headware may be used in the more traditional manner of shielding the user's face and eyes from sunlight.

Abstract: An athletic sock for insertion into a shoe, the sock defining a generally tubular body having a mouth at one end, the mouth for engagement by the foot of a person, a first portion of the tubular body including a resilient elastomeric compound, at least a fraction of the first portion of tubular body destined to be exposed out from the shoe during use, the first portion defining an external surface having a fine grain, and a high resolution printed design layout being mounted to the external surface of the first sock portion integral thereto.

Abstract: A decorative clothing accessory and a method for its manufacture, that comprises both scarf-like and jewelry components, and which can be worn comfortably even by those who are otherwise unable to tolerate clothing worn close against the neck. The present invention comprises an elongated flexible scarf-like member that is worn against the front and sides of a person's neck and a detachable jewelry member with adjustable fastening means that draws the scarf-like member around to the back of the wearer's neck and secures it into its usable position. If needed, the scarf-like member may include a soft fabric lining. Decorative embellishments for the scarf-like member may be included to add versatility. Although not limited thereto, the shape of the scarf-like member may be substantially rectangular, V-shaped, cowl-like, or have a subtle lower dip that follows the curvature of a human neck.

Abstract: A comfortable, self-adjusting, protective helmet made from a process of insert molding. The helmet comprises an armature or insert made of a porous material that is embedded in the layers of the helmet to connect the structural parts of the helmet to one another. The armature as used in the helmet also serves several other functions which include hinging and sizing. A retention system is strategically located on the helmet to provide increased stabilization of the helmet on the wearer's head. One embodiment of this invention is an insert-molded helmet that can be converted into a pouch. A further embodiment of this invention includes a protrusion at the back of a helmet suitable for a compartment.

Abstract: An improved safety helmets designed and manufactured to protect the head and brain from both linear and rotational impact energy. The helmet designed and manufactured to diffuse or absorb impact energy in a uniform manner around the head and allows for effective reuse of the helmet after multiple impacts. The safety helmet is constructed of layers of polyurethane, monoprene gel, polyethylene and either polycarbonate or polypropylene. The safety helmet manufactured and designed of these materials protect the brain from both linear and rotational impact energy and diffuse or absorb impact energy in a uniform manner around the head.

Abstract: Goggles include a goggle frame, a goggle lens to be detachably fitted in a groove formed on the inner peripheral portion of the goggle frame. The front and rear walls constituting the groove have ventilating openings opposing each other. Either a goggle lens which covers the opening of the rear wall or a goggle lens which allows the openings of the front and rear wall to communicate each other can be fitted in the groove.

Abstract: A liner that has been molded to fit the shape of the base of a cabinet. This liner is designed with a higher back and sides with the lowest side being in the front, so that if the liner over flows the water would be forced out of the front of the liner allowing for easy detection. The liner has a drain plug installed in the front of the liner so that water that has pooled in the liner could be easily drained. This liner is designed to fold when needed so that it would fit in larger base cabinets.

Abstract: A non-leaking flush toilet kit that eliminates the need for using wax gaskets or rings on a toilet system. Such kit includes a floor flange, a toilet base extension sleeve that is affixed to the base outlet opening of a flush toilet, and a v-ring seal seated within the floor flange. The floor flange is affixed to a soil pipe at or about floor surface. Said sleeve projects downwardly from the toilet base and is received by the v-ring seal and extends into the soil pipe, and forms a seal between the sleeve and the floor flange, thereby forming a seal between the base of the toilet bowl and the soil pipe.

Abstract: A water conservation apparatus for use in a toilet having a dual action handle that is connected to an adjustable activating rod. The adjustable activating rod is connected to both a first pull chain for effectuating a full tank flush and a second pull chain for effectuating a limited flush. A spring loaded release control mechanism is coupled to the adjustable rod to regulate the pivotal movement of the dual action handle and the adjustable activating rod. A stabilizing jackscrew assembly is carried by the spring loaded release control mechanism to secure the apparatus in the toilet tank.

Abstract: The pool cover is made of multi-layer light-weight construction having a translucent top layer to permit sunlight to pass through and an opaque bottom layer for absorbing sunlight passing through the translucent layer. In a two-layer construction, a plurality of pockets are formed in the bottom layer. In a three-layer construction, a plurality of pockets are formed in the intermediate layer. When in use, the opaque layer becomes heated by sunlight and transfers heat by contact to the water in the pool. The heated air in the pockets also serves to conduct heat to the water and to serve as a thermal insulating barrier during non-daylight hours. The top layer may also be made of reflective material to reduce heating of the water during short-term pool closures.

The pillow body also includes a side portion adjacent the second end of the mid portion. Abstract: A method of reducing dye fading of fabrics in laundry bleaching compositions is provided, comprising contacting stained fabric, in a wash liquor, with a bleaching composition that comprises a specified bleach catalyst. The bleach catalyst comprises a ligand which forms a complex with a transition metal, the complex catalysing bleaching of stains by atmospheric oxygen, and the composition is substantially devoid of peroxygen bleach or a peroxy-based or —generating bleach system. The bleaching composition provides effective bleaching performance on fabric stains without causing unacceptable dye damage or dye fading of the fabrics after repeated washes.

Abstract: Specific transfer methods and articles to impart a metal-ion based antimicrobial finish to recipient textile surfaces. Such treatments preferably comprise silver ions, particularly as constituents of inorganic metal salts or zeolites. In particular, the inventive method involves the application of a solid, inorganic antimicrobial material to a donor substrate (such as a dryer sheet), and the subsequent placement of such a substrate within a tumble drying machine containing textile fabrics and operating the machine. The donor substrate, upon contact with the recipient textile fabrics, transfers antimicrobially effective amounts of the metal-ion based compounds to such recipient fabrics thereby imparting at least a temporary antimicrobial finish over at least a portion of such fabrics. The donor substrates, with either the antimicrobial compound alone or mixed with standard tumble dryer additives (such as perfumes, fabric softeners, fiber lubricants, and the like) are also contemplated within this invention.

Abstract: A novel cleaning composition for dry cleaning applications is described. The cleaning composition utilizes a stain removal composition having a stain removal surfactant and a stain removal solvent, and the dry cleaning applications use a solvent which is a gas at standard temperature and pressure, a biodegradable functionalized hydrocarbon or a silicone comprising solvent.

The cleanable portion may be erodible and may include a plurality of cleanable reusable layers. If a tacky surface is included in the floor mat, an anti-slip feature may be associated with the tacky surface to help prevent slipping on a possibly wet tacky surface. Additionally, a sensor system may be included in the floor mat to assist a user in identifying when the floor mat may require cleaning.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a vault or casket having a customized design on its external surface. The invention also discloses a method for decorating the external surface of a vault or casket to produce such custom designed surface. In method ofthis invention, a substrate material is cut into panels that have shapes that correspond to the sections of the vault or casket surface. This substrate shape will enable the substrate panels to fit exactly over the corresponding surface sections. A custom design is digitally imaged onto the substrate panels. Each panel contains a portion of the overall design. The interior side of each substrate panel is provided with an adhesive material to affix the panels to the substrate surface. These substrate panels exhibiting portions of the overall design are applied sectionally to the substrate surface in a manner to provide a seamless image, thereby creating an external surface having a custom appearance.

Abstract: A method of forming a nonwoven fabric suitable for metal-finishing buffing operations includes providing a precursor web comprising polyester, staple length fibers, with hydroentanglement of the web effected to impart desired physical characteristics. Hydroentanglement is effected on a three-dimensional, image transfer device having an array of three-dimensional surface elements for patterning the fabric which is formed. Application of a binder composition lends desired durability to the fabric, with the binder composition preferably including a melamine polymeric composition to achieve the desired strength and abrasion resistance.

A computation environment (114) processes the SPC data, which are then analyzed in an analysis environment (116). Abstract: A combination tool system, comprising a hand-held, valve keeper remove/install tool and an engine head clamping support device. Both the hand-held tool and the clamping support device are used together, and include special extraction and installation mechanisms and support parts that enable the easy and safe removal and installation of the segmental valve keepers of an internal combustion engine having cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder, and having recessed valve springs. Removal or installation of a segmental valve keeper typically takes less than a minute. Using the invention tools together avoids the usual risks of causing damage to valves and possible loss of parts. The tools are efficient to use and inexpensive.

Abstract: An improved method and apparatus for repairing a farrowing crate, particularly a portion of the grating floor of the crate which is frequently damaged and in need of replacement. The method provides for cutting and removing a rectangular portion of the grate including the damaged portion, then replacing it with a removable and replaceable section, and fastening the removable section into place. The apparatus includes a receiving and positioning bar for connecting one end of the replacement section to the basic grate, a longitudinal seal-plate member attached to each longitudinal side of the replacement section, and an attachment device for fixing and holding the replacement section firmly in the operating position. Alternatively, the replacement section may engage a pair of bottom side supports.
