Such treatments preferably comprise silver ions, particularly as constituents of inorganic metal salts or zeolites. In particular, the inventive method involves the application of a solid, inorganic antimicrobial material to a donor substrate (such as a dryer sheet), and the subsequent placement of such a substrate within a tumble drying machine containing textile fabrics and operating the machine. The donor substrate, upon contact with the recipient textile fabrics, transfers antimicrobially effective amounts of the metal-ion based compounds to such recipient fabrics thereby imparting at least a temporary antimicrobial finish over at least a portion of such fabrics. The donor substrates, with either the antimicrobial compound alone or mixed with standard tumble dryer additives (such as perfumes, fabric softeners, fiber lubricants, and the like) are also contemplated within this invention.

Abstract: In a strip-shaped surface fastener, fence portions, each of which periphery is blocked, integrally stand on a surface of a flat base portion made of synthetic resin. The fence portions may be formed of foam members and bonded to the surface of the flat base portion. Then, male type engaging elements are integrally molded inside each of the fence portions. Alternatively, a woven or knitted male type, female type or male-and-female mixture type surface fastener member, or a male type surface fastener member made of synthetic resin may be pasted or bonded inside each of the fence portions. An attaching portion, in which no engaging elements are disposed, are integrally formed on an outer periphery of each of the fence portions. Therefore, it is possible to prevent foam resin material from penetrating an interior of each of the fence portions during an embedding operation and to effectively embed the surface fastener in a cushion body of a foam resin molding type.

Abstract: A seat belt cover comprising a flat tubular member through which a seat belt of a motor vehicle is passed to be covered therewith, wherein, the flat tubular member has i) a slit-shaped opening provided at its lower end and having a width larger than the width of a through-tongue and ii) a slit-shaped opening provided at its upper end and having a width which is enough to pass the seat belt but not enough to pass the through-tongue. Also disclosed is a seat belt cover provided with a pocket for, e.g., a cellular phone on the outside. The former seat belt cover can prevent the friction of a seat belt with clothes to keep the shoulder or breast of a coat or jacket from becoming shiny and wearing. The latter seat belt cover enables, e.g., safety driving in talking over the cellular phone during the driving of a motor vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a vault or casket having a customized design on its external surface. The invention also discloses a method for decorating the external surface of a vault or casket to produce such custom designed surface. In method ofthis invention, a substrate material is cut into panels that have shapes that correspond to the sections of the vault or casket surface. This substrate shape will enable the substrate panels to fit exactly over the corresponding surface sections. A custom design is digitally imaged onto the substrate panels. Each panel contains a portion of the overall design. The interior side of each substrate panel is provided with an adhesive material to affix the panels to the substrate surface. These substrate panels exhibiting portions of the overall design are applied sectionally to the substrate surface in a manner to provide a seamless image, thereby creating an external surface having a custom appearance.

Abstract: A method of forming a nonwoven fabric suitable for metal-finishing buffing operations includes providing a precursor web comprising polyester, staple length fibers, with hydroentanglement of the web effected to impart desired physical characteristics. Hydroentanglement is effected on a three-dimensional, image transfer device having an array of three-dimensional surface elements for patterning the fabric which is formed. Application of a binder composition lends desired durability to the fabric, with the binder composition preferably including a melamine polymeric composition to achieve the desired strength and abrasion resistance.

Abstract: The present invention provides a manufacturing environment (110) for a wafer fab, and an SPC environment (112) for setting control limits and acquiring metrology data of production runs. A computation environment (114) processes the SPC data, which are then analyzed in an analysis environment (116). An MES environment (118) evaluates the analysis and automatically executes a process intervention if the process is outside the control limits. Additionally, the present invention provides for an electrical power management system, a spare parts inventory and scheduling system and a wafer fab efficiency system. These systems employ algorithms (735, 1135 and 1335).

The mechanism moves the upper deck in an arcuate way around a specified axis such that a force with a relatively large horizontal component is applied to the flange of the outer panel when the preliminary bending surface of the bending block bends the flange in the preliminary bending process, and then in another arcuate way around another axis such that a force with a relative large perpendicular component is applied to the flange of the outer panel when the final bending surface of the bending block bends the flange in the final bending process.

Both the hand-held tool and the clamping support device are used together, and include special extraction and installation mechanisms and support parts that enable the easy and safe removal and installation of the segmental valve keepers of an internal combustion engine having cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder, and having recessed valve springs. Removal or installation of a segmental valve keeper typically takes less than a minute. Using the invention tools together avoids the usual risks of causing damage to valves and possible loss of parts. The tools are efficient to use and inexpensive.
