Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing cleaning chemicals such as toilet bowl cleaners. It has a dosing chamber containing therein a floating shuttle that seals a lower opening in the dosing chamber and floats up there from as an aliquot of chemical is prepared for release during the next cycle. There is also a float controlled external valve pin at a lower end of the dispenser for alternately opening and closing a lower opening in the dosing chamber. The level of water in the tank controls the movement of the valve pin, and dispensing of the cleaner chemical controls movement of the floating shuttle. A grommet provides a valve seat for both the floating shuttle and valve pin.

Abstract: A water treatment and recycling system is provided having an aeration chamber, a reaction chamber, a water tank, and a plurality of pumps The water tank houses the treated water and is the supply source for supplying water to different water needs. The first pump receives waste water from a waste source, such as a toilet, and pumps it into the aeration chamber. The aeration chamber initially treats the water and passes the contents therein via a second pump to the reaction chamber. The water is secondarily treated by the reaction chamber and thereafter pumped into the water tank. The first pump also receives a continual supply of treated water from the water tank. The aeration chamber and reaction chamber contains therein a plurality of specially treated wood chips, and a bio-colony consisting of different microbes and bacteria introduced into the wood chips.

Abstract: An overflow system suitable for use in controlling the level of water in, for example, a bathtub (3) is described. The overflow system comprises a conduit attached to the overflow outlet (21) of the bathtub (3) and is arranged so that when the bathtub (3) is overfilled, any excessive flow rate of overflow water through the conduit (19) is detected. The excessive flow rate is detected by arranging for the outlet (25) of the conduit to have a smaller maximum flow rate than the inlet (23) of the conduit so that water backs up within the conduit during an excessive flow rate condition. The backed up water may be detected by a reed switch (31) in conjunction with a magnetic float (27) in order to actuate a solenoid valve (9) to prevent any more water from entering the bathtub (3).

Abstract: Polyamide-6 articles exhibit dramatically improved dye bleed and perspiration performance characteristics, as well as reduced color change of fluorescent dyed polyamide-6. These improvements are achieved according to the present invention by modifying conventional dyeing and aftertreatment conditions. That is, conventional temperatures used for dyeing and the aftertreatment of polyamide-6 yarns are typically about 100° C. and 77° C., respectively. In contrast, the dyeing and aftertreatment procedures of this invention are carried out at about 80° C. or lower, and about 50° C. or lower, respectively. Bath ratios of between about 15:1 to about 20:1 are employed with the polyamide-6 article being retained in the bath sufficient to achieve about 75% dye uptake.

Abstract: A vehicle door hinge assembly that includes a body bracket, a door bracket, and, an interconnecting door bracket carrier. The door bracket carrier and the door bracket shift in unison from a fully closed position to an intermediate open position. The door bracket pivots in a swinging motion about the door bracket carrier from the intermediate open position to a fully open position. The hinge assembly further includes a motion restriction mechanism that restricts the door bracket from pivoting relative to the door bracket carrier when the door bracket carrier is not in the intermediate open position. Additionally, the motion restriction mechanism restricts the linkage assembly from moving relative to the body bracket until the door bracket has returned to the intermediate open position. A door attached to the hinge assembly moves first in a shifting motion and then in a swinging motion. The shifting motion moves the door laterally and outwardly relative to a vehicle body.

Abstract: A plastic handle structure of a clamp tool, wherein, a hard plastic layer is provided on the two lateral edge areas of the bottom plate thereof with two lateral edge portions for a fitting-over portion, and the opening of the fitting-over portion per se is provided with two lateral edge portions, the top of the hard plastic layer is cut to open. A transversely directed die block for shaping the fitting-over portion fills soft plastic material in the lateral edge portions for the fitting-over portion, the lateral edge portions of the fitting-over opening and the top cut portion during a soft plastic layer enveloping process, enveloping and filling processes of the soft plastic layer are thus completed, and the structure of the fitting-over portion can be shaped. In the entire operation for the plastic handle, the hard plastic layer can be molded from an upper and a lower die in order to reduce the waiting time to do the enveloping process of the soft plastic layer.

Abstract: A roller for drafting equipment of a spinning mill machine with an oblong cylindrical base body (102) is claimed characterized in that a hollow space (106) is provided in the base body (102). In this manner the heat transfer from the roller bearing via the base body to a roller covering on the base body can be reduced considerably. Under another aspect of the invention a roller with an oblong cylindrical base body provided with an outer roller covering essentially surrounding the circumference of the base body, whereby at least one thermally insulating layer is installed between the base body and the roller covering, serves the same purpose. In addition the invention also comprises a spinning mill machine with at least one such roller as well as a corresponding process.

Abstract: Antistatic agent for external use is attached to a synthetic resin material by coating or spraying, which is used in an attachment for clothes and belongings, such as a slide fastener, a button, a snap button, a hook, a strap fastener, a buckle, a swivel hook, a belt adjuster, a strap for portable goods and the like, or a component of the attachment. Alternatively, antistatic agent for internal use may be mixed in the synthetic resin material. Consequently, the attachment is provided with antistatic function, so that static electricity is discharged easily even if such an attachment is worn by a human body, thereby protecting a human body from electric shock.

Abstract: This invention relates to a spring fastener, which comprises engagement springs in opposite sides of the fastener. Each engagement spring has an engagement region comprising a hindrance portion, which increases considerably the removal to insertion force ratio as compared to such ratio in the absence of the hindrance portion, thus permitting very easy insertion with considerably more difficult removal of the fastener from the slot of a panel, which provides an efficient ergonomically balanced removal to insertion force ratio. The hindrance portion comprises ripples or other hindrance elements of unexpectedly minute dimensions for providing this efficient ergonomic force balance.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a continual comfort adjusting fastener for a footwear article and provides an alternative to fasteners that necessitate periodic attention by the wearer in order to maintain a proper combination of support, fit and comfort by utilizing spring mechanisms to induce a predetermined amount of tension between opposing eye flaps of the footwear article. In accordance with various exemplary embodiments of the present invention, the spring mechanism portion of the spring assembly that provides constant tension between eye flaps may be one of a tension spring, compression spring and torsion spring. The spring assembly is comprised substantially of a spring mechanism and may be fastened directly to eyelets in the footwear article. In accordance with other exemplary embodiments, the spring assembly is further comprised of locking eyelets which themselves are attached to the eye flap of the footwear article via rivets, thus replacing the eyelets.
