Abstract: A toilet cleaning dispenser system adapted for placement in a toilet tank includes a hanger, a dispenser housing and a cartridge device removably coupled to the dispenser housing. The cartridge device, which includes a cleanser tablet enclosed within a cartridge housing, is inserted into a cavity of the dispenser housing and turned in one direction to lock the device and, alternatively, in an opposite direction to unlock the device. The cartridge housing may be formed to turn as one unit, or be formed as a basket and a rotatable cap that can be turned with respect to the basket. The dispenser housing includes an inlet water trap and an outlet water trap, each comprising a pair of concentric, nested tubes that retain liquid after flushing so as to prevent fumes from exiting the dispenser housing into the toilet tank.

  • Publication number: 20030121092
Abstract: A toilet (10) and toilet system suitable for a boat, recreational vehicle, bus or the like is operated via a microprocessor controller to effect a convenient and efficient operation. The toilet includes a base assembly (30) having an electrically-operated flush valve that opens and closes a passage to a waste receiving area. A flush lever assembly (15) has flush lever displaceable from a neutral position toward one of a “flush” position and an “add water” position. In this context, the flush lever initiates a flush cycle in the “flush” position and initiates an add water cycle in the “add water” position. The controller communicates with a water inlet valve, the flush valve and the flush lever assembly. In operation, the controller opens and closes the water inlet valve and controls a position of the flush valve in accordance with a position of the flush lever.

Abstract: A water conservation system for use in a shower stall or a bathtub having a shower head. The system includes a pair of receptacles placed on the floor of the shower stall. Each of the receptacles includes a cover, which has a hingedly connected panel to facilitate draining into a selected receptacle while a user is in the shower/bathtub. Collection of clear water is facilitated by directing the shower head at a first one of the receptacles when the water is warming up, and pivoting the shower head in the opposing direction when rinsing to direct gray or soapy water into a second one of the receptacles. The appropriate receptacle cover panel is opened depending upon the positioning of the shower head. Drains are formed in the tops of both receptacles, the tops having a drainage surface with a concave profile to direct water to a centrally positioned drain opening. Each of the receptacles has a removable pour spout, and a locking member is provided to prevent relative movement of the receptacles.

Abstract: The disclosure describes a commode liner made from a first and a second opposing member defining a top with an opening, a bottom, and a pair of opposing sides. The pair of opposing sides includes a separation distance D, which varies from the top to the bottom, and the distance D is larger at the top than at the bottom. The opposing members can be formed from a latently dispersible barrier composite material including an exposed low strength barrier component, an internal water sensitive layer, and a water permeable, inextensible, water dispersible support layer. When exposed to aqueous conditions on the barrier side, the composite prevents it from passing through to the other layers. When exposed to aqueous conditions on the opposite side, the commode liner readily disperses and may be disposed of by flushing in a toilet, for example. Examples of barrier layers include polylactic acid. Examples of water sensitive layers include polyvinyl alcohol.

Abstract: A fastening tape has a sheet-form base carrying an array of hooking members (10,22,24,34) each having a height (h) of about 0.008 inch (0.2 millimeter) or less, as measured from the base, and fiber-engaging features, such as re-entrant tips (18,32), disposed less than about 0.003 inch (0.08 millimeter) from their upper surfaces, as measured normal to the base. Such hooking members are employed to releasably engage directly into foams and fine denier non-woven materials, such as those of insulation, filters, construction moisture barriers, disposable gowns and diapers.

Abstract: A buckle device is disclosed for fastening a first belt relative to a second belt. The device includes a first member having a first and a second portion, the first portion being anchored to the first belt. A second member releasably interlocks with the first member, the second member having a first and a second part, the first part being anchored to the second belt. The second portion of the first member includes a latch which extends flexibly from the first portion, the latch having a proximal and a distal end. A receptacle defines a first and a second opening and a cam is disposed between the latch and the receptacle. The second part of the second member includes a further latch which extends flexibly from the first part, for the releasable reception thereof within the receptacle. The further latch has a first and a second end and a further receptacle defines a first and a second aperture. The further receptacle receives therein the latch.

Abstract: An etch stop layer is formed over a surface of an interlayer insulating layer and over a surface of a conductive plug extending at a depth from the surface of the interlayer insulating layer. A lower mold layer is deposited over the etch stop layer, and a wet etch rate of the lower mold layer is adjusted by adding dopants to the lower mold layer during formation of the lower mold layer, and by annealing the lower mold layer. An upper mold layer is then deposited over the surface of the lower mold layer, such that a wet etch rate of the upper mold layer is less than the adjusted wet etch rate of the lower mold layer. The upper mold layer, the lower mold layer and the etch stop layer are then subjected to dry etching to form an opening therein which exposes at least a portion of the surface of the contact plug.

Abstract: A riveting apparatus having a support die with a support surface. The support surface supports a rivet that extends through a circuit board and an electrical connector. The support surface has a first inclined surface, a second inclined surface, and a depression positioned therebetween. The depression receives a head of the rivet and positionally aligns the rivet with an upper tool unit as the rivet is guided across the first inclined surface toward the second inclined surface. The upper tool unit fastens the rivet to the circuit board.

Abstract: A hand tool that greatly expedites the installation of the valve locks that secure a valve spring retainer to the free end of a valve stem. The valve locks include an inwardly extending ridge that engages a circumferential groove that extends around an end portion of the valve stem. The valve lock is retained in this position by a tapered central bore of the valve spring retainer that produces an inward clamping force on the valve lock. The tool includes a plunger having a diameter equal to the diameter of the valve stem. The user positions the valve locks on the protruding cylindrical surface of the plunger, where they are held by magnetic attraction. The user pushes the end of the tool against the valve spring retainer, thereby compressing the valve spring so that the valve stem pushes the plunger into a close-fitting loader end cap until the valve locks are transferred to the valve stem and into engagement with the circumferential groove.
