Abstract: A hand-protection sporting accessory includes a flexible hand attachment for connection about a wearer's hand, and a slide pad extending from the hand. The flexible hand attachment includes a thumb loop through which the wearer's thumb can extend so as to maintain the slide pad adjacent to the palm of the hand unless deliberately released from the thumb. The accessory is particularly useful in competitive skateboarding where the slide pad can be positioned out of the way for quick race starts where the participant needs good grip with the starting gate. A quick “flick” of the hand can be made after the race start, whereby the loop lassoes the thumb to thereby place the slide pad across the palm.

Abstract: A waterless vacuum toilet system for an aircraft includes a toilet bowl connected via a suction valve and a waste collection pipe to a waste collection tank. Waste-contacting surfaces that come into contact with urine and fecal waste are coated with an adhesion-inhibiting or adhesion-reducing nanocoating. The adhesion of waste is significantly reduced, and the need for flushing water is completely eliminated. Instead, an air jet arrangement preferably including an annular ring nozzle or annular air gap directs an airflow into the toilet bowl and along the nanocoated waste-contacting surface thereof, to “air flush” the waste material from these surfaces. The flushing airflow may be induced through the air jet arrangement into the toilet bowl by the suction applied through the suction valve. The “air flushed” toilet system substantially reduces the total system weight and eliminates the need for toilet flushing water to be carried in the aircraft.

The driver is configured to apply reciprocal force to the drive shaft to reciprocally lineally move the drive shaft. The vibration-absorber is connected to the drive shaft via a second spring to be lineally movable along the drive shaft. A weight ratio of a weight of the vibration-absorber to a weight of the drive part is at least 0.9 and at most 1.1.

Abstract: The block head structure of an electric toothbrush of the present invention can be slipped over and connected to a driving end on the block handle of an electric toothbrush of different style, and includes: a block head sleeve, a set of bristles, a driving axle bush and a connecting portion. The structure is characterized in that: the driving axle bush has an excavated section at the area in corresponding to the position of the driving axle; a bridge-like member is provided above the excavated section; when the driving axle is slipped into the axle hole, the inner side of the bridge-like member is elastically expanded outwardly by abutment and pressing of a driving surface on the driving axle, hence a reaction force is generated to forcedly press the driving surface. Thereby, the driving axle bush is driven by the driving axle to move the set of bristles to rotate rightwards and leftwards repeatedly.

Abstract: A machine for automatically applying lane dressing travels up and down the lane to apply dressing according to a certain predetermined and preselected pattern. A single dispensing head travels back and forth across the lane as the machine moves linearly along the lane so that dressing is transferred to a buffer brush that engages the lane surface and applies the dressing thereto. The oil pattern is determined by actuation and deactuation of the dispensing head as it traverses the lane, such control of the head being provided by a special pattern control device in the nature of a cylindrical pattern tube that extends alongside the path of travel of the dispensing head. A sensor on the dispensing head detects pattern structure on the control device to responsively actuate and deactuate the head. In a preferred form, such structure takes the form of a series of metallic strips extending parallel to the path of travel of the dispensing head and spaced circumferentially around the periphery of the pattern tube.
