Abstract: A tool and a method for installing a sprinkler head in a threaded fitting of a fire suppression system is disclosed. The sprinkler head is protected by a cover. The tool is formed from an elongated body having a cavity that is sized to receive the cover. One end of the body interfaces with a wrench, the other end has one or more axially extending slots sized to receive the fingers of a torque plate affixed to the sprinkler head. The sprinkler head has a threaded nipple that engages the threaded fitting. The nipple is engaged with the fitting and torque is applied to it by engaging the slots of the tool with the fingers and turning the tool with the wrench. The tool has an external index allowing the sprinkler head to be angularly oriented to direct its discharge stream.

Each of the roller bodies is a roller (14) which is located in a recess (A) of the displacement body (13) that restricts end-to-end, radial and axial relative moments of the roller (14) with respect to the displacement body (13). The displacement body (13) can be configured as a cage of the roller (14).

Abstract: A reciprocating piston machine is provided having at least one membrane (1) produced from an elastomeric material and an oscillating reciprocating drive that acts on a center zone (3) of the membrane (1). Between the center zone (3) of the membrane and its circumferential edge zone (5), a deformable membrane zone (M) is provided that is deformed during the oscillating pumping movements. The reciprocating piston machine according to the invention is characterized in that the work and/or auxiliary membrane (1), in its deformable membrane zone, is provided with at least two cantilever-type annular zones (7, 8) that merge into each other in a reduction of cross-section (9) of the membrane (1) and in that the membrane cross-section, starting from the reduction of cross-section (9), enlarges in the annular zones (7, 8). The membrane of the reciprocating piston engine according to the invention is very durable and functions with little noise.

Abstract: A piston for an automatic transmission, wherein a first piston member forming a cylindrical portion of the piston has a plurality of axial cutouts and a circumferential groove formed in one axial end portion thereof, and a second piston member forming a bottom portion of the piston has a plurality of radially extending engaging jaws fitted in the plurality of axial cutouts, while a retainer ring is fitted in the circumferential groove and held in abutting contact with the engaging jaws fitted in the axial cutouts, whereby the first and second piston members are fixed to each other. At least one of the engaging jaws of the second piston member cooperates with the retainer ring to form a gap therebetween, which prevents a stress concentration on portions of the circumferential groove adjacent to the axial cutouts, upon an axial movement of the piston, so that the required thickness of the retainer ring can be reduced, leading to size reduction of the piston.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pulse cleaner for cleaning a diesel exhaust treatment device. The pulse cleaner includes a cabinet, a diesel exhaust treatment device mount positioned within the cabinet for mounting the diesel exhaust treatment device during pulse cleaning, and a collection filter positioned within the cabinet for collecting material displaced from the diesel exhaust treatment device during cleaning. The pulse cleaner also includes a pulse generator for generating pulses that are each directed at a majority of a face of the diesel exhaust treatment device when the diesel exhaust treatment device is mounted at the diesel exhaust treatment device mount. The pulse generator includes a pressure tank for accumulating pressurized air, and a valve arrangement that flushes the pressurized air from the tank. A pulse of air for cleaning the diesel exhaust treatment device is generated each time the tank is flushed.

Abstract: A toaster is disclosed with a warming function that operates after the toasting cycle is complete, thereby keeping the toast warm in the toasting chamber until the user is ready to remove it. The warming function is accomplished via a warming cycle timing circuit which is interposed between the conventional toast cycle timing circuit and the electromagnet that holds the toast down within the toaster. Instead of the toast being released at the end of the toasting cycle as in a conventional toaster, the invention releases the toast when the desired warming time has expired. During the warming cycle, the toasting element operates at reduced power and produces less heat.
