A connector assembly including a main activator rod having a pair of wedge members threaded thereon in spaced relationship therealong is positioned between the opposed upright edge rails. The wedge members have wedgelike edge flanges which protrude into the grooves of the opposed upright edge rails. Rotation of the activating rod causes the wedge members to simultaneously move relative to the rod in opposite directions between a first end position wherein the wedge members effect gripping engagement with the groove walls to simultaneously effect a drawing together of the edge rails and alignment thereof, and a second end position wherein the wedge members clampingly engage only a single edge rail to facilitate initial mounting of the connector assembly.

The panel's outline is jagged to terminate horizontal and vertical partition lines of the panel's front surface. The partition of the panel's front surface is not aligned with the horizontal and vertical edges of the front surface's outline. The panels are attached to a wall to create a substantially random appearance. This invention is especially suited to create wall covering with the appearance of random ashlar stone layout. An acrylic, talc or granular coating is applied to the surface of the encapsulated mat that is not in contact with the adhesive asphalt layer. The non-adhesive asphalt coating is characterized in that it includes a high filler content made possible by the use of non-oxidized flux asphalt to which has been added a small percentage of an asphalt additive such as radial or linear polymer or other elastomer. The resulting membrane, when applied to a roofing deck, provides a high traction surface that will not adhere to shingles and provides an effective waterproofing seal on the roofing deck and is flexible in both hot and cold environments.

Abstract: A method of blocking partial cells at the periphery of diesel filters is disclosed. The method comprises plugging the partial cells with a suitable plugging material. In one embodiment, a line of plugging material is applied to either or both of the end faces of the diesel filter along an outermost row of partial cells to block same. In another embodiment, the outermost wall the diesel filter is first beveled to form a beveled edge and uniquely off-set the partial cells. Then the beveled edge has applied thereto a plugging material, such as a line or bead. A honeycomb structure having reduced number of unplugged partial cells at the periphery is also disclosed.

Abstract: A trim mower includes a frame supported by a plurality of wheels to travel over a ground surface, at least two front reel-type cutting units and at least one rear reel-type cutting unit. A separate lift arm is attached between the frame and each reel-type cutting unit. Each lift arm can pivot to move a reel-type cutting unit between a mowing position on a ground surface and a transport position raised above the ground surface. The lift arm for at least two of the cutting units, and preferably at least one front cutting unit and one rear cutting unit, can extend to selectively move the cutting units attached thereto laterally while the cutting units are in the mowing position. The lateral movement of a front cutting unit may be proportionately further than the lateral movement of a rear cutting unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a field chopper having at least one rotatable lower rough-press roll and at least one rotatable upper rough-press roll. Between the rough-press rolls crop is pressed and fed to a chopping drum where blades chop the crop. A space is defined down stream of the moveable rough-pressing roll between the chopping drum, the stream of pressed crop and the movable rough-press roll. Located in this space is a pressing element that acts on the pressed crop and which exerts a rough-pressing effect on the pressed crop downstream of the movable rough-press roll and upstream of the chopping drum.

Abstract: A reel mower assembly which includes a mower reel mounted to a frame, a drive operative to rotate the reel about a reel axis, a magnetic backing plate mounted to the frame and a magnetic bed bar retained in proximity to the backing plate in an operating position. The assembly includes a bed knife interposed between the backing plate and the bed bar, with the backing plate providing additional magnetic attraction between the bed bar and bed knife. The assembly includes an engagement device for preventing sliding movement of the bed knife with respect to the bed bar while allowing the bed knife to move away from the bed bar and backing plate when a separating force is exerted on the bed knife in a direction away from the bed bar that is greater than an attractive force exerted on the bed knife by the bed bar.

Abstract: An article pickup system includes a pickup vehicle having collector assemblies extending in a side by side configuration and engaging articles on the ground. The collector assemblies generally include a rotating drum with flexible fingers having widened ends extending outward there from. A separator assembly includes sprocket type devices to remove the collected articles from the collector assemblies. In one embodiment, the collector assemblies pivot independently from one another and the separator assemblies are mounted on a linkage to maintain spacing and move upward and downward with the collector assemblies. The collector assembly includes a series of conveyors for transporting the collected fruit. The collector assemblies may be utilized with a sweeper device having generally horizontally extending arms that engage fruit on the ground and move it toward the collector assemblies with the arms raising up to release the fruit in the desired location in the path of the collector assemblies.

Abstract: The aim of the invention is to create a method that allows a previously produced fancy yarn to be reproduced. Said aim is achieved by a method in which a model fancy yarn is first guided through a sensor device for measuring purposes, the diameter of the model fancy yarn is continuously measured using the sensor device, the measured diameter values are evaluated, and the formation of the effect of the model fancy yarn is determined therefrom. Spinning settings are generated from the data representing the formation of the effect, and said spinning settings, which are based on the set of data, are used for producing a fancy yarn.

Abstract: This invention is directed to flow management improvement to the known yarn texturing process, and is directed to devices and methods to accumulate one or more yarns between texturing device(s) and coiling device(s) prior to treatment in a heat-setting chamber. The devices and methods of the present invention may further provide for the removal of texturizing media from yarn prior to setting. The present invention allows for the deposition of yarn or yarns onto conveyor for a setting treatment to set an applied form to impart desirable properties to the yarn. The present invention may include any natural or synthetically produced yarn. The devices and methods of the invention may be used to improve the production capability of said heat setting and texturing equipment.
