Abstract: A respiratory mask assembly for delivering breathable gas to a patient includes a frame and at least one locking clip. The frame has a main body and a side frame member provided on each lateral side of the main body, at least one of the side frame members including a locking clip receiver assembly. The at least one locking clip has a main body providing a front portion adapted to be removably coupled with the at least one locking clip receiver assembly and a rear portion adapted to be removably coupled to a headgear assembly. The rear portion includes a cross bar that forms an opening through which a strap of the headgear assembly can pass and be removably coupled with the cross bar, and the front portion includes at least one resiliently flexible spring arm that is flexible within the plane of the main body.

Abstract: A hand-worn holder and nose wipe band comprises a soft, absorbent, washable fabric strap with a plurality of tissue-holding slits therein and a thumb opening at each end thereof allowing the band to be secured to a user's hand. A tissue (or tissues) or a handkerchief is inserted through the tissue-holding slits positioned on the back of a user's hand so that the tissue extends out on both sides of the slits to provide a hand-worn holder. The device itself may alternately be used as a nose wipe in the absence of tissues.

Abstract: A barrier against soiling to the wearer, this functional, easy to use bib comprises a body made of washable, flexible, durable and non-porous material with a front and a back. The body includes two semi-circular upper sections that protect the wearer's shoulders from soiling while also securing said bib around the wearer's neck. In fastening these upper sections together, a portion of the bib body arcs outwardly to conform to the wearer's upper body. The lower body of the bib forms into a bowed pocket for catching and retaining food particles and liquid thus shielding the user from soiling. The pocket is formed firstly by folding the lowest portion of the body upwards toward the front of the bib and fastening with corresponding snaps on each side and secondly, by folding the bottom right and left corners of the pocket around to the backside of the bib and fastening to the corresponding snaps on the backside. The pocket unfastens for the purpose of wiping and/or washing once removed from the wearer.

Abstract: A garment, or article of clothing, particularly for children, has two labels that identify a need for special medical attention and instruct about a medical response if needed. The exterior label sewn to the left sleeve of the garment alerts and reminds caregivers about the medical attention need. The interior tags, sewn inverted upon the interior rear of the garment, accepts writing to describe the medical condition and steps to be taken immediately. The interior tag is concealed, keeping the medical information out of public view, but provides ready display of the information in a crisis when a caregiver responds by pulling the garment to reveal the interior tag.

Abstract: Disposable garments adapted to be donned while bathing or showering and drying off. The garments take the form of ponchos. The bathing or showering poncho will have a different color than the drying poncho. Also the bathing/showering poncho will have soap and shampoo impregnated therein. Both ponchos will have ties on the sides thereof to secure the poncho and prevent inadvertent exposure.

The method includes: selecting a one or more graphical displays presenting a desired message; removably coupling the graphical display via a coupling mechanism to a thigh portion of a leg covering normally covered by another article of clothing; and selectably displaying the graphical display. Abstract: A women's waistless and seamless clothing adherable underwear includes an oval pad made of a soft absorbent material, wherein the pad has double sided strips of adhesive tape with removable peel-off cover strips to attach to the inside crotch area of low slung clothing pants, such as tight pants, leotards or dungaree jeans facing upward to the skin and crotch of the wearer. The material is preferably a soft, non-woven, absorbent material. The underwear is particularly suited for women who wear tight pants, or low waist hip hugger pants, which widely reveal waist bands and seams of panty underwear, or expose underwear waist bands. The underwear is minimally intrusive and is attractive for women who like to wear jeans without underwear but who fear bacterial infection or exposure to clothing dyes or irritating stitching.

Abstract: A laminate of three layers includes a middle butyl rubber layer, whereas the inner layer and outer layer materials could be chosen from natural rubber latex, carboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber latex, polychloroprene, polyisoprene, carboxylated styrene butadiene, and other synthetic elastomers. Even with one material used for both inner layer and outer layer, different formulations could be used. The resultant multilayer structure provides good resistance to ketone family chemicals such as acetone and MEK. The glove also exhibits superior or much improved resistance to solvent such as DMSO, chloroform, methanol, et al as compared to currently commercially available thin wall gloves made from natural rubber latex and carboxylated acrylonitrile butadiene synthetic rubber latex. The time elapsed before the material experiences breakthrough after exposure to a ketone family solvent is directly related to the thickness of the butyl layer.

Abstract: A protective glove/wrist guard device is provided that prevents hands from slipping out from under a falling ice skater when the ice skater extends his or her hands to break a fall. The protective glove/wrist guard device may include a palm surface portion having a high-friction surface portion, to provide both high-friction when contacting ice, and wrist support to help prevent wrist and hand injuries. Alternatively, the protective device may be in the form of a glove with a high friction material disposed on a palm surface portion of the glove.

The headwear includes a head-covering portion for being worn on a head of a wearer, and a sweatband combined to an interior side of the head-covering portion. The sweatband includes a sweat absorbing member and a cover for partially covering the sweat absorbing member. The cover and sweat absorbing member include a bonding portion combined by bonding.

Abstract: A pair of pants with attached skirt has first and second leg portions. Each of the leg portions has an inner side and an outer side. An abdominal portion has an upper end and a lower end and connects to the leg portions at the lower end. The abdominal portion has a waistband at the upper end. A skirt attaches to the waistband. When the pair of pants with attached skirt is worn, the skirt will cover a wearer's buttocks and thus provide modesty for the wearer. The skirt may surround the entire abdominal portion or may surround only the front or rear section of the abdominal portion. The skirt may be permanently or removably attached to the pants. The skirt may be formed at the rear as a pair of flaps meeting at a center point on the waistband.

This invention enables a person who has difficulty discriminating colors, whether through poor lighting conditions or poor visual acuity, to discern like colors, to match a sock to its mate, and to coordinate the pair of socks with his or her attire.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a structure for forming and maintaining the three-dimensional shape of clothing. Specifically, the present invention teaches methods for manufacturing of clothing whose three-dimensional shape can be changed freely and kept in place securely even if the clothing is constructed from soft material such as knit. In one embodiment of the present invention a flexible and shape retentive member is attached to the clothing.

Abstract: The protective helmet (1) comprises a deformable foam liner (7), a plurality of shell segments (9), and joining means made of flexible material performing joining between the shell segments (9). The shell segments (9) are arranged on the foam liner (7) so as to form at least one crown segment (9a), at least one occipital segment and a plurality of transverse side segments (9c). The shell segments (9) and the joining means made of flexible material are joined to the foam liner (7) in such a way as to allow a slight sliding between the foam liner (7) and at least a part of the shell segments (9). The helmet (1) preferably comprises a headband adjustment means (14) designed to adjust the size of the helmet (1) and to optimize user comfort.

Abstract: According to one embodiment of the invention, a fitting system for a helmet is provided. The fitting system includes a belt having supported racks coupled to a belt adjustment device. The belt adjustment device is operable to allow a user to tighten the belt, and release the belt at a single touch of a release actuator. The belt adjustment device and the racks are configured to hug the occiput of a user when the helmet is properly worn. The belt adjustment device is also operable to hold the rear straps of the helmet apart but is not attached to the helmet. The belt defines a collapsible button for securing a pad. The pad defines a substantially lateral compressed strip that is operable to urge the pad against the belt. The belt adjustment device and the belt are configured to allow rear straps of the helmet to approximately directly approach the chin of the user.

Abstract: A pair of swimming/diving goggles includes a goggle body, a buckle, and a head strap. A wall delimiting a through-hole in the goggle body includes a pressing face. A pin is mounted to the buckle. An end of the head strap extends through the through-hole, a gap between the pin and an inner face of the buckle, and then extending through the through-hole again. When an outer portion of the head strap is pulled and then released, a clamping force provided by an inner portion of the head strap moves the pin to a position in which the head strap is tightly clamped between the pin and the pressing face. When the buckle is moved toward an inner end of the through-hole, a gap between the pin and the pressing face becomes larger to allow loosening of the head strap.

Abstract: A device for preventing overflow of a toilet, the device comprising a pump, a moisture sensor and a circuit for receiving a signal from the moisture sensor and activating the pump. The pump is associated with the toilet and attached to an inlet pipe to receive liquid from the toilet bowl of the toilet. The pump is further attached to an outlet pipe for discharging liquid from the toilet bowl. The fluids removed from the toilet can be discharged into an expandable receptacle, a drain line or the discharge line in the base of the toilet. The moisture sensor senses an overflow condition in the toilet.

The appliance may be fitted or installed in almost every kind or type of bathtub arrangement. A driving device connects to the impeller. A jet nozzle, which may be pivotable, directs water out of the pump. A front cover comprises a water intake inlet distal from ajet nozzle front cover opening. The front cover water intake inlet may be positioned to allow water flow into the apparatus substantially in a direction normal to water flow out of the apparatus. Impeller vanes may have angled front-side vane edges. Vanes may thicken with distance from the impeller center. A radius of curvature for an inside impeller vane surface may be less than a radius of curvature for an outside impeller vane surface. A radius of curvature for impeller vanes may decrease away from the impeller center.

Abstract: A sink station comprises a cabinet defining an interior space, a basin mounted to the cabinet, and a faucet for delivering fluid into the basin. A cover is provided for the sink station where the cover is movable over a range of motion between a closed position where the cover overlies the open top of the basin and a stored position where the cover is at least partially received in the basin. The cover can be operably coupled to the sink station through the range of motion. The cover can be connected to the basin through a multi-motion coupling that permits the cover to move in a first motion and a second motion different from the first motion to move the cover between the closed and stored positions. The sink station can further comprise at least one storage space.

Abstract: A playpen includes four posts, four rails installed between the posts, at least two stems attached to one of the rails and at least two positioning devices each attached to one of the posts for cooperating with the stems for movably installing the rail on the posts. Each of the related posts includes a groove for receiving one of the stems and a dent in communication with the groove. Each of the positioning devices includes a button movable across the detent and a latch including a first portion connected to the button and a second portion. The button is operable so as to move the latch between a locking position where the second portion thereof restrains the stem in the groove and a releasing position where the second portion thereof retreats from the groove.

The cladding structure forms open areas proximate forward corners of the support platform body. A plastic piece is configured to engage the metal cladding structure proximate a forward corner area thereof and to generally form a forward corner for the metal cladding structure.

Abstract: A bed frame comprising T shaped side rails provide support for a box spring and mattress. A leg assembly is affixed to the bed frame and is affixed to the side rail and to the cross rails for better strength of connection. The use of T-shaped side rails provides more resistance to twisting and bowing and thereby more resistant to damage a leg or other structural component of the bed frame from moving the bed frame across the floor. The use of the T-shape cross section side rails enables the overall bed frame to support more weight with less deflection than the convention L-shaped side rails. There are also headboard and footboard brackets that take advantage of the greater height of the vertical flange of the side rail to have affixation means, such as rivets, that are further spaced apart to provide a more rigid connection between the brackets and the side rails.

The extension panel is coextending from the infant size covering panel. The extension panel extends beyond the partially fitted opposing side edge, and the extension panel is not fitted, and therefore it enables the opening top edge to be turned down when laying the baby on their back on the mattress. The extension panel is sufficiently long that it can be tucked under the mattress. The fitted sheet and the partially fitted covering are joined where the sheet and covering are fitted.

Abstract: A baby support system directed to providing improved support for a baby, particularly for its head, neck and back, while being held and carried. The baby support system includes two support features, and a security feature. The first support feature is a wrap member adjacent to the second support feature which is made of a flexible, resilient, material which at least partially conforms to the baby's body, providing support for the baby. The second support feature is positioned on the first support feature such that when the wrap member is wrapped about the baby it maintains the second support feature in a desired position with respect to the baby, thereby providing the desired support for the baby. The security feature will be employed to releasably retain the baby in a preselected position relative to the wrap member, and the second support feature as well.

Head and foot base are connected at center sides with hook and loop fastener. Connecting flaps attachable to the head base and the foot base reinforce connection of the head base to the foot base. The connecting flaps are configured to provide ports to the head base and the foot base. A triangular harness having one attachable point for attaching to the foot base and two attachable points for attaching to the head base and three attachable points to separate mattress pad is shown. The triangular harness is configured to support a torso of an infant.

The mattress of the present invention provides a plurality of support to areas of the body of a user, as critical support areas and utilizes a plurality of voids, as air pouches, in non-critical support areas such as the back the back of the head and shoulders, the tailbone region, arms, elbows, hips, heels and feet, thereby to prevent, reduce and heal decubitus ulcers. In the preferred embodiment, the mattress is comprised wholly of fire-retardant, anti-microbial, variable density foam.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for recovering and purifying a solvent used in an article cleaning appliance are provided. The method allows passing solvent-based cleaning fluid from a wash basket through a coarse filter configured to remove relatively large particulates from the cleaning fluid. The method further allows passing cleaning fluid from the coarse filter through a particulate filter configured to remove relatively fine particulates from the cleaning fluid. An aqueous phase that may be present in the cleaning fluid is separated by decanting and coalescing through a separator/filter assembly. The cleaning fluid may then be passed through a regeneration cartridge for removing any water that may remain in the cleaning fluid, and for adsorbing organic contaminants that may be present in the cleaning fluid. Recovered solvent may be stored in a tank for subsequent use in a cleaning process performed by the appliance.

The colored sections are then lightly sprayed with a spritz.
