Publication number: 20070180650Abstract: The basic invention uses a positive air pressure port to loosen foreign objects into a cavity and a negative air pressure port to vacuum these objects from the cavity. The positive air pressure port can be used as a substitute for a mechanical beater brush. Removing the beater brush allows the weight of the housing unit to be reduced. The number of positive air pressure ports can be reduced to increase the exit velocity of the air flow out of a single port focusing the energy of the compressed air to a smaller area of the surface which loosens hard to remove foreign objects from the surface. A motor can be used to sweep a single positive air pressure port in a back and fort motion to automatically clean the surface. Finally, the housing unit can be made transparent to view the surface as it is being cleaned.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2006Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventor: Thaddeus Gabara

Publication number: 20070180678Abstract: At present, the removal of the bolts which fasten the liners should be carried out manually as part of the maintenance procedure SAG mills should be subjected to. The disadvantage of this procedure is the fact it should be carried out manually which makes the system to lose efficiency due to the high maintenance periods. The pole teeth before being filled, have an installation position relative to one another for installation into the electrical machine. At least one of the pole teeth which define a slot, is bent, before the filling of the at least one slot with the winding, by a force action into a filling position, so that the cross-sectional area of the at least one slot that it defines is increased. Then the winding is placed in the slot. Next, the at least one of the adjacent pole teeth is put out of the filling position into the installation position. As a result, a higher copper factor and thus higher power of the machine can be attained.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 24, 2005Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventor: Samir Mahfoudh

Publication number: 20070180686Abstract: An electrode plate winding device and rolling method for cylinder type battery that is to increase a battery capacity by rolling the electrode plate in a cylinder-like shape. The electrode plate winding device has a mandrel which winds electrode plates coated with the active material layers having different polarity and separators, interposed between the plates. The mandrel is of a generally round cross-section but divided into two parts by a groove. The mandrel having at least one electrode tap region formed in one of the divided parts.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2006Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: Samsung SDI Co., Ltd.Inventor: Soonki Woo

Publication number: 20070180687Abstract: A method of manufacturing thermal batteries is disclosed. In the method according to the present invention, pellets used in the manufacture of thermal batteries are grouped together based on certain material characteristics such as weight, thickness, and density. Pellets with different material characteristics can be grouped together in a single thermal battery to produce a thermal battery with characteristics that are the average of the characteristics of the pellets used to manufacture the thermal battery.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: EAGLEPICHER TECHNOLOGIES, LLCInventors: Graham Dixon, Mark Hart, Ola Pettersson, Chad Sneath

Publication number: 20070180688Abstract: A secondary battery exhibiting a long cycle life and comprising a negative pole activating material made of lithium or zinc is provided. The battery at least having a negative pole made of lithium or zinc serving as the negative pole activating material, an electrolyte (electrolytic solution), a separator, a positive pole made of a positive pole activating material, a collecting electrode and a battery case, wherein at least the surface of the negative pole is covered with a film having a structure which allows ions relating to the battery reactions to pass through. Since growth of dendrites of lithium or zinc at the time of charge can be prevented, short circuiting between the negative pole and the positive pole can be prevented. Therefore, the charge/discharge cycle life can significantly be lengthened.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 27, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Applicant: Canon Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Soichiro Kawakami, Shinya Mishina, Naoya Kobayashi

Publication number: 20070180689Abstract: A family of spray suspensions for aerosol deposition of green ceramic layers that subsequently can be sintered to produce both dense and porous ceramic layers. The suspensions comprise a nonazeotropic solvent mixture, a ceramic powder, a dispersant, and a an organic binder. The invention also includes methods for depositing coatings of these ceramic suspensions on a substrate, either singly or sequentially, to form electrochemically efficient multilayer structures that can be economically co-sintered. The suspensions and deposition approach allow formation of thin layers of varying microstructure and composition in the sintered state. The suspensions and deposition approach are likely to be useful in the fabrication of electrochemical devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2006Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Michael J. Publication number: 20070180693Abstract: A Bradbury-Nielson gate (BNG) includes a set of evenly spaced, co-planar, and parallel wires. The wires alternate in a repeating ABAB pattern, where all of the A wires are electrically connected to each other, all of the B wires are electrically connected to each other, and the set of A wires is electrically isolated from the set of B wires. Improved fabrication of Bradbury-Nielson gates is provided based on two key ideas. The first key idea is the use of wire positioning template surfaces having wire insertion features with enhanced spacing. Wire insertion features having enhanced spacing allow for non-microscopic assembly of finely spaced wire arrays. The second key idea is the use of two template surfaces, each having wires spaced by twice the eventual gate wire spacing. The use of two template surfaces facilitates making the alternating electrical contact required for a BNG.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2007Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: Oh-Kyu Yoon, Richard N.
