Abstract: A steam iron (1) comprises a steam conditioning device (30) having two vortex chambers (31, 32). Inside the vortex chambers (31, 32), directing means such as a conduit for directing a steam flow toward outlets (33) of the steam conditioning device (30) are arranged. Further, inside the vortex chambers (31, 32), vortex generating means are arranged, which are arranged along a path followed by the steam flow, and which are adapted to creating local pressure differences in the steam flow in order to obtain local vortices in the steam flow. By means of the vortices, during operation of the steam conditioning device (30), water drops which are present in the steam flow are broken down to a smaller particle size. In this way, the steam conditioning device (30) is capable of producing mist-steam or dry steam.

Abstract: What is different and new about this invention becomes immediately apparent upon visual inspection of each series of toothbrushes. The obvious depiction of each month on the handle of handheld toothbrushes and on the head of electric toothbrushes, makes it easy to select any portion or an entire year of brushes for the monthly regiment of keeping oral hygiene current. Further, most dentists not only recommend the monthly changes of toothbrushes, they usually hand out free samples to their patients. This invention no doubt will give dentists a better way of promoting their recommendation to change the toothbrushes every month as imprinted on the newly distributed samples. Should a person choose to replace their toothbrushes only every two or more months, it will still be very clear when they last replaced them, and therefore will need to acquire appropriate new “Brush-A-Month” toothbrushes from a nearby store.

Abstract: A trellis system of the invention comprises a trellis and tool in combination. The trellis includes multiple legs and one or more horizontal supports. The tool includes a tray and a coning tool. The tray is adapted to slidably engage the legs by way of engagement means. The coning tool is adapted to engage the ends of the legs to facilitate shaping the trellis into a conical or pyramidal frame if desired. The trellis system can be used as a plant growth support and/or to hold potted plants. It can be installed into the ground or an existing potted plant. The trellis can be inverted position, the trellis can be used as a frame to build ornamental Christmas trees.

Abstract: A watering device well-suited for use in watering soil that surrounds a plant includes an inlet adapted to receive a supply of water, an elongated length of rigid tubing shaped to define an outlet, the outlet being in fluid communication with the inlet, and a shut-off valve for regulating the flow of water from the inlet to the outlet. In use, the tubing is inserted deep into the layer of soil. The shut-off valve is then opened so that water is dispensed from the outlet, water being dispensed until the soil is thoroughly saturated with water. At that time, water present in the soil naturally drains downward which in turn results in substantial compaction of the soil. This process of compaction serves to eliminate the presence of any harmful air pockets in the soil.

Abstract: A support device for cultivating macro organisms in marine waters consisting of first and second coplanar rings connected to each other by a plurality of radial support lines and provided between them with a plurality of cultivating lines arranged in substantially coaxial rings and connected to the support lines. The outer one of the first and second rings is held in a predetermined orientation by ropes of crow's foot arrangements connected to it from above and below the rings. Each crow's foot arrangement is provided with a ring coaxial with respect to the first and second rings and connected to the other by a support rope. One of the crow's foot rings is connected to a buoyancy means and the other one is connected to an anchoring device so that forces acting on the buoyancy or anchoring means are restricted to the support rope.

Abstract: A roof planter comprising growth media capable of sustaining a desired vegetation, a sack retaining a quantity of the growth media, the sack being formed of moisture permeable material that is capable of retaining the growth media, the sack having an opening capable of accepting the growth media, and a pad in association with the sack and capable of separating the sack from the top of a roof. When the desired vegetation is planted in the growth media being retained by the sack, and the pad is positioned between the sack and the roof, the vegetation may grow in the sack on the roof without causing damage to the roof.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide power drives comprising a drive unit, a drive cable, a trolley, and a track on which a trolley is guided for moving components for use in motor vehicle applications. The drive unit comprises a gear powered by an electric motor. The electric motor rotates the gear that meshes with and advances the drive cable. The drive unit is coupled to an end of the track by an intermediate cable sleeve comprising a flexible material allowing for independent placement of the drive unit and the track by selectively bending the intermediate cable sleeve. The drive cable passes through the intermediate cable sleeve and is coupled to the trolley and is adapted to advance the trolley along the track. The electric motor causes the gear to rotate in a forward or reverse direction to advance the trolley along the track.
