Abstract: The invention provides devices and methods of drying an object with a passive aerosol is created with no expenditure of energy from a drying liquid and delivered to the exposed surface of an object. The passive aerosol is created by rapidly decreasing the pressure of a carrier gas stream and entraining the drying liquid into the pressure means to create a venturi flow mixture of the carrier gas stream and the drying liquid. A primary baffle is positioned in the path of the venturi flow mixture so that the venturi flow mixture strikes against the primary baffle to create the passive aerosol. The passive aerosol can be used to create a drying layer through which the object is passed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is footwear separable into two pieces in which an insertion body is adapted to be fit into an insertion recess formed at the heel portion of a footwear body, for absorbing the impact applied to a wearer upon walking, thus to achieve better wearing effect, the insertion body is freely assembled with and separated from the footwear body, thus to form a variety of designs thereon, the insertion recess has a drain hole connected from the bottom portion thereof to the corresponding bottom portion of the footwear body, thus to prevent water from gathering into the insertion recess, and if the footwear body is formed of a polyurethane material, the insertion body is formed of an ethyl-vinyl acetate (EVA) material, and vice versa, thus to provide high flexibility to the footwear, which makes the wearer feel comfortable.

The insole assembly includes a lower insole made of a compressed resin having a high specific gravity; an upper insole laid on the lower insole and a shock-absorbing member attached to a heel of the lower insole. The insole assembly is made of a compressed resin to increase the weight of the footwear to which the insole assembly is applied.

Abstract: An upper is made of a flat composite which includes a substantially flat plastic layer molded directly over a fabric layer. The plastic layer has at least one ventilation hole, an inner peripheral end defining an opening, an outer peripheral end extending around the inner peripheral end, and two opposite marginal ends each extending from the inner peripheral end to the outer peripheral end. The flat composite is looped and formed into the upper when the marginal ends are connected to each other. The plastic layer further has at least one molded ventilation hole. The fabric layer has an integral extension flap that extends beyond the outer peripheral end.

Abstract: A sandal 10 comprises a sandal upper 12 having one or more straps 14 for positioning over a user's foot, and a sandal sole 20 having a sandal ground engaging surface 22 and an opposing upper surface 24. A plurality of releasable connectors 30 are each secured to an end of the one of the straps. Each connector is positionable within a cavity 24 within the sandal sole for interconnecting the connector to the sandal sole. In one embodiment, the sandal sole houses a connector base 40, and the connector base includes a cavity 47 for receiving a portion of the connector therein.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shoe tag comprising two parts. At least one part of the tag attaches with a left shoe and at least one part attaches with a right shoe. The left and the right part releasably link to one and other when the shoes are correctly oriented. The shoe tag assists individuals to correctly match a left shoe with his or her left foot and a right shoe with his or her right foot. The attachment may be releasable, lockable, and flexible, rigid or semi-rigid. Audible and visual signals may be emitted to indicate correct orientation.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a snowplow equipped with a shovel supporting devices of movable blade for clearing roads, and of which are provided of a reinforced part member having a shoe arranged thereof, and exceeding the movable blade of at least 1/16 at about 3 inches thick to allow at the time of the operations of snow clearance carried out by the snowplow to generate the fluid deflection of snow, to increase the longevity of the movable blades at the time of the frequent uses, and to prevent breakings at the time of the frequent passages in the holes.

Abstract: A wear assembly for excavating equipment that includes a base, a wear part and an improved locking arrangement that provides improved stability, strength, durability, safety and ease of use. The locking arrangement includes a hammerless lock that is pivotally moved between hold and release positions, wherein the fulcrum is set forward of the bearing surface engaging the wear part. The lock can be manipulated by a threaded member or pry tool. The lock further includes bearing surfaces that enhance stability and reduce wear.

The mounting structure on the coupler includes wedge coupling surfaces and a tube. The mounting structure on the implement includes hooks for engaging the tube, and complementary wedge coupling surfaces. The wedge coupling surfaces wedge together during coupling to produce and tight fit and solid hold between the coupler and implement. The mounting structure is robust, and can accommodate future possible wear. The kinematic impact on the performance of the implement due to the use of the quick coupler is minimized.

Abstract: A container having a label ledge elevated from the base of the container for receiving label is disclosed. When formed in mold, the ledge protects the leading edge of the label from the flow of resin through the cavity walls of the mold. Because the label leading edge is protected, the resin flows over the label and pins the label to the cavity wall of the mold, creating a container with the label formed on the container wall. A container lid with side walls defining a skirting is also disclosed. The lid includes a ledge to facilitate label placement on the skirting.

Abstract: A method of improving the useful life of a sign or display is provided. In this method, a sign or display comprising two images and an intervening opaque layer is provided. When the quality of the first of the images to be shown has degraded to an unacceptable degree, the sign or display is reversed to show the second image, which has been at least partially protected from environmental degradation by the intervening opaque layer.

Such illuminated panels can be operated very efficiently, cost-effectively and with minimal maintenance once installed in the field. In one embodiment, the illuminated panel includes a panel frame with one or more illuminated frame member. Additional illuminated frame member(s) may be needed depending on the overall dimensions of the illuminated panel. The inside surface of the illuminated frame member should be reflective to increase the light transmission efficiency of the panel. A row of point light sources, e.g., a row of light emitting diodes, is located within the illuminated frame member. The panel frame encloses a light diffusion layer, e.g., an acrylic sheet, with a diffusion edge facing the row of point light sources. The diffusion edge has a surface roughness configured to diffuse light emitted by the row of point light sources.

The label holder has a hingeable front pocket member interconnected by a flexible hinge to a hook-shaped rear mounting member. The rear mounting member profile defines an interior region flanked between two opposite jaws adapted to be snapped-on to the shelf edge. The interior region includes a sinuous-shape profile that acts both as a spring-bias means providing an improved snap-on function and as a fulcrum against which front pocket member bottom can be pressed on to open the pocket front panel. In a second and third embodiments of the invention, the front pocket member integrates respectively a sign clip in its back panel or a gripper in its front panel. The illumination and audible warning can be constant or they can pulse on and off. A proximity sensor detects the approach of others and activates the visible and audible warnings.

Abstract: A vermin trap apparatus and method. The trap comprises a rotatable path between the entrance and the bait, and sensor means adjacent the rotatable path for detecting vermin presence on the rotatable path. When a vermin detection signal is sent to control means, the control means cause the rotatable path to rotate, thereby dislodging the vermin and dropping the vermin into a containment region. The trap is preferably also provided with means for electrocuting the vermin, with spray means adjacent the rotatable path to disinfect and wet the vermin to enhance electrocution.

Abstract: Disclosed is an animal trap with a rotating auxiliary jaw subassembly attached to each of two substantially U-shaped trap main jaws. The invention is such that it reduces the impact force with an animal's leg upon closing. Additionally, the invention allows for increased holding power when the animal pulls away from the trap, but allows for reduced clamping force upon animal relaxation with the intent of allowing restored blood flow to the clamped area of the animal's extremity. Preferred embodiments include a padded jaw construction for additional reduction in impact force.

Abstract: A therapeutic candle provides multiple sensory experiences. The candle includes bottle containing a mixture of liquid paraffin and essential oils. The bottle further contains natural objects, such as plants and rocks, within the mixture. A wick extends into the bottle and is lit. The use of essential oils provides aromatherapeutic effects when the candle is burned. A method of bonding the liquid paraffin and essential oils is also disclosed.

At least one of the cross members may be provided with an anchor for suspending an ornamental item within an opening defined by the uprights, the cross member and an adjacent cross member. A shelf may be attached to and positioned on an upper surface of a cross member for supporting an ornamental item within an opening on the cross member. The outdoor and garden structure may further include a cap member positioned adjacent and extending laterally between the uprights. The cap member may include a pair of transversely spaced headers and a plurality of lattices extending transversely between the headers.

Each of the louvered doors has a frame consisting of a pair of vertical stiles, each stile having a front face and a rear face and a plurality of louvers mounted between the stiles. The doors are mounted to an elongated head member having two parallel support tracks, each louvered door being suspended on a different track such that the first louvered door is mounted parallel to and in front of the second louvered door. The two louvered doors are separated from each other by a distance such that the rear face of the stiles of the first door faces the front face of the stiles of the second door. The louvers of the first door are mounted to the stiles of the first door such that a portion of the louvers extend beyond the front face of the stiles and the louvers do not extend substantially beyond the rear face of the stiles.

Abstract: The snow guard for roofs includes a plurality of slotted brackets, which are permanently installed atop the roof structure. A snow fence is removably installed in the slots of the brackets, permitting the user to remove the fence as needed for the deliberate removal of snow from the roof in a safe and predetermined manner. The slots of the brackets extend only partially toward the bottoms of the brackets, thus placing the lower edge of the snow fence elevated above the underlying roof structure. This provides clearance between the snow fence and any strengthening ribs or ridges formed in the roof covering, as are typically provided in sheet metal covered roofs. The brackets are preferably attached along the eaves of the roof outboard of the wall structure to preclude leakage through the mounting holes and water damage to the interior of the structure.

Abstract: The proposed invention relates to a portable housing/shelter unit assembled in a manufacturing building, loaded on a trailer truck and delivered to a site. Once on the site it is lifted off the trailer and lowered onto a leveled ground location or a foundation. Then the unit is un-folded from its central frame (container) and secured to the foundation and final extrusions and screws are applied; thus, the unit is setting in final set up position, structurally and weather tight. The roof is constructed of a plurality of roof beams which are supported by and extend radially and upwardly from a perimeter of the cylindrical wall toward the center to form a peak having a cylindrical beam tube disposed therein. A plurality of flanges are attached to an outer wall of the beam tube to support the upper inner end of each roof beam and brackets are mounted to the top of the side wall to support the lower ends of the roof beams. A circular band extends around the perimeter of and is attached to the upper end of the circular wall. The structure may be elevated above ground level and a walkway constructed all around the perimeter thereof at a floor level.

Abstract: Among other things, a load bearing wall structure for a building is disclosed. The load bearing wall structure includes frameless modular wall panels with each frameless wall panel having spaced skins of fiber reinforced cement sheet separated by a core of expanded in situ high density polyurethane foam bonded to inner faces of the spaced skins. Each frameless wall panel also has formed in upright edges a recessed channel forming, together with a recessed channel of an edge-abutting wall panel, a hollow aperture extending between top and bottom surfaces of the abutting frameless wall panels. A lower panel edge locating channel member securable to a building support base is also included. Further included is an upper panel edge locating channel member and a tensionable element extending via each hollow aperture between an anchor member secured to the base and the upper panel edge locating channel member.
