Abstract: The present subject matter includes method and apparatus for an insulating layer applied to a battery to effectively increase the insulated separation between the anode and cathode contact surfaces of the battery. This increase in effective separation between anode and cathode decreases the probability that moisture applied to the battery will cause substantial ohmic conductivity between the anode and the cathode. Consequently, fewer batteries will be prematurely depleted or destroyed by moisture and fewer devices holding those batteries will need repair. The present subject matter serves to prevent or eliminate discharge of corrosive battery chemicals due to moisture and operating in wet environments. The life of batteries and devices using the present subject matter is thus extended. Additional method and apparatus can be found in the specification and as provided by the attached claims and their equivalents.

Abstract: The use of at least one central heat exchanger to extract and dry the heat energy released by laundry machines, in particular their gland steam. The energy thus recovered can be fed back to the laundry machines as hot air or hot water. This represents a significant reduction in the energy requirements of laundry machines as laundry machines discharge a great amount of unused energy into the environment, which, particularly in light of rising energy prices, represents an unnecessary operational cost for a laundry.

Abstract: A nitrogen cabinet is disclosed to include at least one cabinet body having a door and a nitrogen inlet connected to a nitrogen supplier, multiple shelves mounted inside the cabinet body and defining multiple storage spaces, multiple containers mounted in storage spaces, each container having at least one gas charging port and an identification device, and multiple gas-charging units mounted inside the cabinet body and respectively connected to the nitrogen inlet for charging the containers with nitrogen. Thus, the nitrogen cabinet combines the functions of storage, charging, management, identification, and tracing of the containers, thereby lowering the chance of oxidation or contamination of storage items in the containers and effectively controlling real-time inventory data to improve product yield rate.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a dryer and a method for controlling the same, in which a rotation speed of a drying drum is made to reach to a preset rotation speed regardless of a load of the drying object held in the drying drum. For this, the dryer includes a drying drum rotatably mounted in a body, a driving unit mounted to enable to vary a rotation speed of the drying drum, sensing means for sensing a load of the drying object in the drying drum, and a control unit for controlling the driving unit to vary a rotation speed of the driving unit proper to the load with reference to a sensing signal from the sensing means. For this, the method includes the steps of applying a drying course to start drying, sensing a load of a drying object with an electrode sensor after starting the drying course, and varying a rotation speed of the driving motor with the load sensed thus.

Abstract: An economical, environmental friendly system for drying and micronizing an organic source material, without composting the organic nutrient and particle sources. The system can utilize a biogas, such as hydrogen, or a hydrocarbon such as methane, propane, natural gas, ethanol or diesel, as its source of fuel, in a processing engine, to drive off and separate the bound and free water, naturally present in the fertilizer source material, or raw feed stock. The final product is a disinfected nutrient or combustible fuel source that can be used as is, or alternatively upgraded into a fuel source for incineration, to produce heat, electrical and mechanical power. The organic source material is metered into the system at a distal end of the processing engine, proximate to an engine exhaust port and prior to a work chamber, which may be in the form of a spiral coil, an opposed engine configuration or a fan tower.

Abstract: Thin, lightweight footwear made of a polyethylene material that is composed of a top part and a sole part that are sewn together such that when fitted properly to the wearer's foot the footwear encompasses the foot and extends to the level of the ankle. The top part is porous allowing the ingress and egress of soap and water. The sole has slip resistance properties due to the material from which it is made and the texture of its outer surface. The finished product can be folded and compressed for storage, then later unfolded and worn without the folding adversely affecting its intended function of providing a barrier between the wearer's feet and the tub or shower floor on which the wearer stands while the wearer showers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a kind of improved shoes. One of its technical designs is to stitch an inner sole, which may be soft, onto the front sole portion of the inner layer of the instep. The midsole between the inner sole and outsole may be at the back sole portion or divided into front sole sections and rear sole section or shaped as a whole sole. The shoe body composed with the instep, inner sole and midsole glued together is glued on the outsole. Another technical design is to stitch an inner sole, which may be soft, to inner layer of the instep. The midsole between the inner sole and outsole may be divided into front sole portion and rear sole portion or only at the rear sole portion or shaped as a whole sole. The shoe body composed with the instep, inner sole and midsole glued together is glued onto the outsole. Shoes of these technical designs not only ensure strength of shoes, but also increase softness of shoes while they are of low cost and easy manufacture.

Abstract: An improved athletic shoe for use in situations where cleats are required. The shoe is provided with a plurality of cleats coupled to the sole of the shoe. Also coupled to the sole of the shoe and provided around the cleats is a resilient material such as rubber. The cleats and rubber are sized and configured so as to allow the resilient material to compress and extend the cleats relative to the material when pressure is applied to the sole. Similarly, when weight is withdrawn from the sole, the resilient material biases the cleats into a retracted position, thereby allowing the shoe to move laterally or in any other direction relative to the ground. By allowing the shoe to move freely when weight is released, injuries otherwise associated with an athlete being struck while the cleats are engaged in the ground are substantially eliminated.
