Abstract: A dazzle prevention device having an electromagnetic wave detection function is disclosed. The device includes an optical detection means, an electromagnetic wave sensor means, the electromagnetic wave detection means, a control means, and a light transmission control means. The optical detection means detects light generated from the welding or cutting torch. The electromagnetic wave sensor means detects an electromagnetic wave. The electromagnetic wave detection means compares a signal, which is input through the electromagnetic wave sensor means and resonated, with a variably set reference value. The control means applies the electromagnetic wave detection mean drive signal to the electromagnetic wave detection means and monitors the variation of an electromagnetic signal using the output of the electromagnetic wave detection means. The light transmission control means controls the variation of light transmittance of the dazzle prevention plate in response to an output signal from the control means.

Abstract: A waterproof cuff assembly for securement to the free end of a sleeve of an outer wear garment, such as a fishing jacket, skiing jacket, or the like. The waterproof cuff assembly comprises an outer cuff, and a tubular sock; the components are sewn together and the seams are sealed by seaming tape. A cinch strap extends laterally about the exterior of the longitudinally extending tubular sock; when tightened, in cooperation with a keeper, the strap divides the sock into two, interacting sections, namely, a cuff extension and a wristlet. The cuff extension is sewn into the free end of a sleeve, and is tucked, or folded, into the sleeve. The size of the fold, when unfurled, controls the extent of longitudinal movement of the wristlet. The cinch strap, when tightened, retains the wristlet in fixed position, and does not allow the wristlet to slide along the wrist of the user into the finger area, despite vigorous movement of the arms of the wearer of the garment.

Abstract: A method of leather processing which, without need of using a large amount of a hardener, etc., can yield a leather which can retain a three-dimensional shape, especially one with a fine, highly attractive design, for a long time and has high stretchability and high recovery while retaining the flexibility inherent in leathers; and a leather of a three-dimensional shape, especially a processed leather of a pattern and shape such as ones formed by wringing the leather together. The method comprises deforming a flat leather into a three-dimensional shape having recesses and protrusions and heating at least part of either or both of the protrusions (2) and recesses (1) to cure the heated parts and thereby cause the leather to retain the three-dimensional shape. More specifically, the protrusions and the recesses are partly heated while keeping the remaining parts being insulated from the heat to cure the heated parts only.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for creating patterns on dyed materials (1), comprising the following steps: a continuous length of a dyed material (1) of a predetermined width is transported on a support element (2) in a machine direction with a selected web speed; at least one jet distributor is provided above the dyed material (1) that is transported on the support element (2), said distributor producing columns or bars of fluid jets (4), which are produced with a selected distributor pressure and spray onto the opposing face of the dyed material (1) that is transported on the support element (2); the fluid jets (4) strike the opposing face of the dyed material (1) whilst the latter is transported on the support element (2) in the direction of the machine; the fluid jets (4) traverse the defined openings (6) of a template (5) before striking the opposing face of the dyed material (1).

Abstract: An electrically powered toothbrush comprising a handle which contains an electric motor and power supply, a head part connected to the handle to be driven in motion by the electric motor by a transmission means between the motor and the oral head part. The head part is flexibly and resiliently connected to the handle such that the head part can move resiliently under pressure of the oral hygiene part against a tooth surface. The motor is moveably mounted within the handle and the assembly of motor and transmission means is pivotally connected to the handle at a pivot point between the brush head and the motor. Suitably the handle is in two parts with a flexible connection between the parts.

Abstract: A rolling lint and pet and human hair remover will function in at least two different positions and with the option of extending the handle in order to reach hard to reach places for use in automobiles, homes, and other locations, as well as on a person's clothing. The handle is foldable against the lint roller portion for compact storage and for use in tight places. An air-freshener body may be incorporated into the lint roller portion. Air-freshener beads are placed inside the air-freshener body and give off an aromatic fragrance while the lint remover is in use due to the tumbling action of the air-freshener beads inside the lint roller as it is rolled. A plurality of holes in the air-freshener body allow the aromatic fragrance to flow out and away from the lint roller.
