Abstract: Products and methods are provided for releasably securing infant and toddler clothing accessories, such as shoes, socks and hair accessories, to a child. The products include novelty articles decorated with whimsical graphics and/or cut into whimsical shapes having adhesive properties designed to provide a temporary bond between the accessory and the child. The methods include adhering a footwear or hair accessory, directly or indirectly, to a child using the novelty adhesive articles.

Abstract: Disclosed is a cap having an auxiliary visor. The cap includes a hair band having enough elasticity to be worn on a user's head, a front visor coupled to the front of the hair band so as to block sunlight, and at least one auxiliary visor hinge-coupled to the top or bottom surface of the front visor and fixed thereto by an attachment/detachment means. The auxiliary visor is adapted to selectively unfold so as to shield the side of the user's face from UV rays, as well as fold so as to overlap the front visor for an aesthetic appearance.

Abstract: A protection system for the neck, chest, and torso on down to the mid-thigh area as it shields the wearer from a variety of messy situations. One embodiment employs sleeves that cover both arms of a user entirely and end with thin, elastic cuffs or bands at the wrists. In addition, the protective layer features a base that is A-lined and extends to the mid-thigh area. The back of the protective layer remains open from the adjustable closure device down to the bottom.

Abstract: A collar protector comprises a patch mount that is attached to the back portion of a shirt collar. A collar shield removeably attaches to the patch mount and covers a back portion of a wearer's neck preventing staining and discoloration of the shirt's collar. In one embodiment, the user applies a scent to the collar shield to release a pleasing odor while wearing the shirt. As the collar shield becomes stained, it is replaced with a new one keeping the shirt from being soiled. In one embodiment, a hook and loop attachment system is used to removeably attach the collar shield to the patch mount. In one embodiment, the collar shield is made of a fabric that matches the shirt.

Abstract: An article of apparel is disclosed that includes zones with a textile having a structure that changes or is otherwise modified by a physical stimulus, such as the presence of water or a temperature change, to modify a property of the textile. The zones may be along a center back area and side areas of the apparel, and the textile may increase in air permeability when exposed to water. The zones may also be in an upper area of the torso and in a lower back area, and the textile may increase in texture when exposed to water. In some embodiments, slits are formed in the textile.

Abstract: A woman's shirt includes integrated outerwear and support undergarment. The support undergarment has cups, sized for accommodating the woman's breasts and particular bust size. The outerwear of the shirt includes a front portion and a back portion. The front portion is connected to the back portion, to form neck, arm and bottom openings. The support undergarment includes semi-rigid cups, such as foam or padded cups. The support undergarment includes a front panel and a back panel. The cups are included in the front panel. The front panel is connected to the front portion at extents of the front portion forming the neck and arm openings. The back panel is connected to the back portion at extents of the back portion forming the arm openings. The shirt is sized by characteristics of measures of breast cup size and of length from just under the woman's breasts to a preferred ride location on the woman's torso for the bottom of the shirt when worn by the woman.

Abstract: A shirt cuff has a cut-out opening providing a window through which a wristwatch can be viewed and accessed as it is being worn in an operative viewing position. A flexible fabric flap is attached to the cuff and is positioned under the viewing window, thus providing a saddle for supporting the watch body in the viewing window. The saddle flap allows a wristwatch or other wrist-mounted instrument to be loosely associated with the wrist and worn with utmost comfort and confidence, while preventing direct contact of the watch body against the wearer's wrist. In a French cuff embodiment, an outer cuff layer is intersected by a cut-out opening through which a wristwatch can be viewed, and an inner cuff layer prevents direct contact.

Abstract: A thermal glove for providing warmth to a hand of the user includes a top section for covering a top of the thermal glove, a bottom section for covering a bottom of the thermal glove, a heating element positioned between the top section and the bottom section for heating the interior of the thermal glove, and a temperature control device to control the heating element to control the interior temperature of the thermal glove. The temperature control device may be a variable temperature control device, and the thermal glove includes a controller circuit for controlling the heating element. The thermal glove includes a battery circuit for providing power to the heating element, and the thermal glove includes a charging circuit for charging the battery circuit. The battery circuit may be connected to a knife connection device, and the battery circuit may be connected to an A/C connector device.

Abstract: The invention is a glove for football quarterbacks. It protects the quarterbacks's fingers against impact injuries, and improves his ability to grip and throw a football with distance and accuracy, especially in inclement weather. The glove is made of a thin, supple, leather-like material which fits tightly to the player's hand. The four fingers of the glove each contain a hollow contoured fingertip insert made from elastomer material. These inserts enclose the player's four fingers from the tip up to, but not above, the first knuckle, and have small drain holes to prevent perspiration build-up. The inserts slightly increase the effective length of the wearer's fingers without decreasing their bending flexibility, and are contoured to conform to the rounded shape of a football so that the player's fingers can make full contact with its surface. The gloves thus enable the quarterback to put firm gripping pressure on the football, while also protecting his fingers against impact injuries.

Abstract: The invention provides a disposable absorbent article comprising a spun lace non-woven web and wherein tie absorbent article is substantially moisture free. The use of a disposable spun lace non-woven web to produce absorbent articles such as towels, capes, etc., which have significant moisture absorbing capabilities, while being of significantly reduced weight and volume when compared with conventional woven cotton products or the like. The invention also provides a liquid prof see, such as a plastic film, on one side of the web so that the disposable article absorbs liquid on one side only. The invention relates in particular to liquid or lotion applications applied to a person, for example in hair colouring applications.

Abstract: An air flow deflector for use with a hood-type hair dryer is a thick, resiliently compressible, unitary halo with an inner perimeter of length suited to surround and abut, preferably with tension, against the subject's head when the halo's inner perimeter is contoured approximately immediately below the subject's hair line. The halo deflects the flow of warm air away from exposed skin portions of the head, neck and shoulders and has an arcuate upturned extension on its front portion for deflecting air flow back to the interior of the hood of the dryer. In use, the halo is slid downwardly against tension over the top of the head of the subject to a position at least below the hairline and preferably resting around the neck and on the shoulders of the subject. After setting, the halo is slid upwardly and contoured to approximately immediately below the subject's hairline.

Abstract: For and in a protective garment having an outer shell, a liner having a barrier side and an opposite side and having, on the barrier side, a moisture barrier or a barrier against chemical or biological agents is folded along two folds, which are parallel when laid flat and straightened, so as to form a fin projecting from the opposite side. A seal providing a similar barrier is provided between the folds. A plural-part fastener, such as a snap fastener or a hook-and-loop fastener, is used to fasten the liner having the barrier to and within the outer shell. One part of the plural-part fastener is mounted to the liner and another part of the plural-part fastener is mounted to the outer shell.

Abstract: The apparel is constructed from various combinations of layers of materials with moisture transfer properties. A first liner of moisture transfer fabrics abuts a second layer of structural material such as open-cell foam. The second layer can abut a breathable membrane and/or an insulating material. Finally, carefully selected outer fabric completes the combination to provide apparel with improved performance characteristics. The outer fabrics are treated in various ways to enhance performance.

Abstract: A garter adapted to be supported on an arm or leg of an individual includes an elastic support base, a pouch in which an auxiliary item, such as a flask, can be removably positioned, and a pair of flexible support straps supported at an upper end to the elastic support base and at a lower end to the pouch. The connection of the pouch to the elastic support base with the support straps permits articles of varying configurations to be positioned within the pouch without compromising the grip that the elastic support base has on the individual's limb.

Further, in industrial practice, several synthetic tanning agents are combined to obtain a desired property. In the present invention, a synthetic tanning agent using natural and proteinous waste materials is disclosed, which provides to the leather the properties such as better fibre lubrication, filling of looser ends, softness, shape retention and fabrication comforts without combining with other synthetic tanning agents is reported.

Abstract: A method for effectively transferring a fabric treating composition containing a limited amount or no cationic compounds to wet clothing within a clothes washing machine comprises operating the washing machine in the conventional fashion through the rinse cycle. The liquid fabric treating composition is introduced into the washing machine with the saturated clothing after completion of the rinse cycle but in advance of the spin cycle. The liquid fabric treating composition and the saturated clothing are gently tumbled together so that an effective amount of the liquid fabric treating composition may be transferred to the clothing as a result of contact of the liquid fabric treating composition with water contained in the clothing. The spin cycle in then initiated, after which time the clothing may be removed from the washing machine for drying.
