Abstract: A hat or cap includes a main hat portion and an outerband or fold-down portion secured to the main hat portion in a manner that permits the outerband to be moved upward and downward with respect to the main hat portion from a first position, in which the outerband lies over the main hat portion and away from the wearer's face and eyes, to a second position in which the outerband covers and protects a part of the wearer's face including the eyes. A lens or goggle portion, which is integrated into and attached to an opening in the outerband, is positioned over the wearer's eyes when the outerband is in its second, lower position.

Abstract: A garment sleeve with knuckle protector and thumb aperture. A shield having knuckle thimbles attached to a shield base, is attached either to a sleeve inner surface or a sleeve outer surface. If the former, the sleeve incorporates sleeve thimble apertures through which the knuckle thimbles extend. Indicia may be inscribed on the knuckle thimbles for aesthetic reasons. Each knuckle thimble may incorporate a thimble void sized to admit a human knuckle on a side of the shield base opposite a thimble dome. The fluid pockets themselves are either deformable, or they can be reconfigured (e.g. emptied) and are, therefore, connected in fluid communication with an empty receiver pocket. In the latter case, a vent connects each fluid pocket to at least one receiver pocket, and a valve is imbedded into the vent to control fluid flow through the vent. In either case, when the cushion receives a shock load, fluid in the cushion is transferred to reconfigure the cushion for mitigation of the resultant forces.

The air intake subsystem includes a plurality of air intake vents located in the outer shell of the helmet, as well as a plurality of air intake holes located within the foam liner of the helmet. The air diffusion subsystem includes a plenum located between an upper portion and a lower portion of the foam liner, which can act as a pressure chamber to forcefully direct air onto the user's head. The air exhaust subsystem includes one or more exhaust ports that create a vacuum near the back of the helmet to draw large volumes of airflow through the helmet as it travels forward.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved sports helmet including a quick release connector assembly for the faceguard that allows for rapid disconnection of the faceguard from the helmet shell. The connector includes a bracket, and a coupler mechanism featuring an elongated pin, a head component, a spring, a retractable engaging element and a washer. The connector assembly is moveable between a use position wherein the faceguard is secured to the shell by the bracket and the coupler mechanism, and a released position wherein the bracket and the faceguard are disconnected from the shell. An inwardly directed actuation force that lacks a rotational component is applied to the elongated pin to move from the use position to the released position. In addition, the sports helmet includes an adjustable pad assembly comprised of an inflatable bladder and a pad member, wherein the bladder displaces the pad member towards the center of the shell.

Abstract: A prefabricated plumbing system or wall system for a shower includes a support frame, a plumbing system carried by the support frame and an enclosure member for enclosing the plumbing system within the support frame. The plumbing system includes a piping configuration for carrying a plurality of body spray mountings and includes a hot water inlet, a cold water inlet, water mixing valve arrangement and a control valve arrangement. Each body spray mounting supports a body spray unit and forms a jet array consisting of spray units. Control valves control the volume of water supplied to the body spray units and the water volume supplied to the water delivering devices. The prefabricated system is adapted to be manufactured as a unit and then shipped for installation in a shower as a unit. A steam seat arrangement for converting a shower into a steam bath is also provided.

Abstract: A graphic design consists of graphic elements such as text, logos, images and texture. On the front surface of transparent substrate, a white translucent copy in the form of chosen graphic elements in the design (such as text) is applied, so when viewed from front is right-reading. The complete original graphic design is then applied in register onto the front surface, so that the parts of the design that were copied onto the front surface first come directly onto contact with that copy. A white copy in the form of the other areas (the graphic elements that were not copied onto the front) is applied onto the back of the substrate (i.e. the side facing away from the viewer) in register with the rest of the design (in reverse, so when viewed from front is right-reading). Further copies of this one may be applied behind it (i.e. on the back) to increase its opacity. A light-source is placed behind the substrate. See FIG. 3 for an exploded view of the layers.

Preferably, the first handle section has a hollow handle and a retractable threader in the handle. The pliers may include a tool module. The tool module forms structure for removable connection with the invagination on the handle end. The tool module includes a retractable tool, such as a fishing line threader or hone so that the tool may be extended and used by the fisherman.

Abstract: A disclosed road sweeping machine (1) including a filter device (6) and comprising: movement means (2), suitable to allow movement of the road sweeping machine (1), collection means (3), suitable to allow collection of refuse and air including pollutants from the outside environment, a container (4), suitable to contain the refuse and the pollutants, means (5) for conveying the air from the container (4) to the outside environment and wherein the filter device (6) is suitable to filter the air conveyed from the conveying means (5) and comprises a filter layer (7) having a filter membrane (7a) provided with a first membrane (7b) made of polytetrafluoroethylene.

Abstract: One embodiment is a lightweight, hand held, hanging, plastic sand cloth dispenser with a pipe reamer and a file. This design is for the deburring of tubing or pipe and the cleaning of said tubing or pipe, while the hanger enables the dispenser to be kept within reach.
