Abstract: A hinge assembly comprising a movable member 5 and a fixed member 6 rotatably connected to each other and a coiled spring (not shown) biasing the movable member 5 toward the fixed member 6. A receiving recess 11 is formed in an opposing surface 5b of the movable member 5 facing the fixed member 6. A spherical body 8 is received in the receiving recess 11 such that the spherical body 8 is movable in a circumferential direction of the movable member 5. A first cam portion 13a is formed in an opposing surface of the fixed member 6 facing the movable member 5. Rotation of the movable member 5 in a direction of an arrow causes the cam portion 13a to be abutted against the spherical body 8. The cam portion 13a converts a biasing force of the coiled spring into a rotational biasing force. The rotational biasing force causes the spherical body 8 to be rapidly abutted against a first hitting portion 11a of the receiving recess 11 and thereby to generate a clicking sound.

Abstract: A device for fabricating a toothing at an inner facing edge of a three-dimensional pot-shaped body produced by forming and fine blanking exclusively implemented by cutting and/or shaving with a fine blanking die and/or a shaving device. The device includes a base plate and a pressure pad between which the pot-shaped body is receivable. A pilot die is received within a hollow space of a die and is biased in an advancement direction of the die such that a portion of the pilot die protrudes from the hollow space and contacts the base of said pot-shaped body before the die when the die is advanced in the working direction. A groove is thereby created between said curved edge of the pot-shaped body and the pilot die for leading a fine blanking burr or shaving chips into the recess of the pot-shaped body. Further advancement of the die fixing and pressing the burr or the chips into the recess.

Abstract: This invention is a unique “split” comb, fitted with moveable teeth, giving said comb the ability to cut any hair, that happens to fall between the teeth of said comb, at the touch of an activating button, located near the handle of said comb, making it a “hair-cutting” comb. It is easily manipulated, using one hand only, it can lift the hair to a ninety degree angle to the scalp, slide outward to the desired length of the hair, and then cut the hair, eliminating the use of a pair of scissors, making it possible for the average individual to look in a mirror, and cut his or her own hair, also making it much easier for a professional barber or beautician to cut and style hair, while almost eliminating the use of scissors.

Abstract: A locking mechanism for a cutting tool for plastic pipes. The tool includes two elongated members pivotally connected to each other in a scissors-like manner. Each elongated member has a handle portion and a jaw portion with one jaw portion including a knife blade and the other an anvil. In the preferred embodiments, the jaws of the cutting tool are spring-biased apart toward an open position. The locking mechanism for the tool includes a bail member on one handle and a C-shaped catch member on the other. In operation, the bail member can be pivoted to an extended position to contact and automatically slide along the opposite handle into a locking position with the catch member as the handles are squeezed together.

The housing has a circumferential ring gear located within an interior portion of the housing. The rotating mechanism is rotatably mounted within the housing and has a motor operatively connected to a drive gear. The drive gear rotates about a drive axis and is positioned for engagement with the ring gear. The drawing mechanism is pivotally mounted on the rotating mechanism, and has a drawing implement holder connected to the drive gear by a connector. The connector is mounted to a portion of the drive gear that is spaced away from the drive axis. Upon rotation of the rotating mechanism with respect to the housing, the drawing implement holder mechanism pivots with respect to the rotating mechanism. Also provided is a method of drawing using such drawing apparatus.

Abstract: A bow sight that utilizes fiber optic wave guides as a basis for collecting ambient light and providing multiple sighting spots within the archer's field of view. The terminal ends of the fiber optic wave guides are positioned so as to have images thereof reflected on a moveable reflective plane (objective optic) within the bow sight. The multiple aiming spots thus reflected in the bow sight provide the archer with sighting spots for targets over a range of distances. Each of the individual fiber optic wave guides collects ambient light and terminates in a terminal block that may be varied in its position so as to individually adjust the reflected image of the aiming spot. Various mechanisms within the fiber optic terminal block for adjusting the position of the ambient light wave guide are also described. The bow sight provides the advantages of multispot ambient light fiber optic systems with the advantages of reflective (reflex) sighting systems.

Abstract: A sighting device for a bow. A light emitting diode (LED) or other initiator of light emits light to form a bright sight point in a line of sight of the bow when the bow is held in a position for shooting, wherein the initiator is spaced from the bright sight point at a position such that it does not obstruct the line of sight of the bow. The initiator is responsive to an indication of an electronic level or other indicator of orientation that the shooting instrument is within a predetermined angle, preferably about 1 degree, of side-wise tilt. Alternatively, a photo optic cable or other light transmitting flexible tubular member has a first end which receives light from a light emitting diode (LED) or other initiator of light and a second end at which the received light is emitted. The second end of the tubular member is positioned to provide the sight point.
