The band is located at a space from a wrist-side end of the back-side outer skin. The back-side inner skin includes a folded-back portion exposed from the space.

The body section may include a belt member for extending around the user to hold the body section against the user. The belt member may be attached near a first edge of the body section, and the belt member may be attached to near a second edge of the body section. The belt member may be directly attached to near the first edge of the body section, and the belt member may be indirectly attached to near the second edge of the body section. The belt member may be attached to opposing corners of the body section, and each of a pair of belt members may be attached to opposing corners of the body section. Each leg portion includes a knee portion configured to be worn over the knee of a human, the knee portion comprised of a first material. A slit is formed in each knee portion and a second material provided in each slit, wherein the second material has greater elasticity than the first material in at least two different directions. In at least one embodiment, each slit in the knee portion is in the shape of a lens. In at least one other embodiment, each slit in the knee portion is in the shape of a symmetric lens. In at least one embodiment, the athletic pants are baseball pants.

Abstract: A garment with underarm externally accessible breast pockets and method of use. An upper body garment is disclosed having garment arms attached to a garment trunk, and a pocket mouth disposed under each garment arm. A pocket is attached to the garment trunk at each pocket mouth. A passenger positioned behind a driver wearing the upper body garment may insert hands and arms through the pocket mouths and into the pockets for warmth, security, and or intimacy enhancement. The pockets may terminate in conventional pocket shape, mitten shape, or glove shape, which latter two embodiments permit gripping of thumb lobes, major lobes, and/or finger lobes between the passenger thumbs and fingers, thus increasing passenger security. In another embodiment, non-slip material may be attached inside the pockets for increased passenger security. A method of use is disclosed wherein a passenger seated behind a driver inserts hands and arms into the pockets.

The support system comprises a number of individual support sections, each of which is comprised of a number of arcuate support segments that encircle or surround a portion of a finger and allow forward flextural movement while helping to protect the finger. For example, the support system can help reduce hyperextension of the finger, the possibility of the finger jamming, and help to protect the finger from lateral or side impacts.

Abstract: A method for forming water resistant and breathable handwear is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: providing an outer shell, a liner that inhibits the transfer of heat from a user's hand, and a water resistant and breathable insert; applying a heat activated adhesive to a finger portion of the outer shell and the liner; assembling the outer shell, insert, and liner; and curing or activating the heat activated adhesive to form a bond between the layers. Water resistant handwear made through the process are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present invention provides a shoulder pad for use in a contact sport, such as football, hockey or lacrosse. The shoulder pad includes a pair of arch members, each having an upper portion, a front portion depending from the upper portion, and a rear portion depending from the upper portion. The shoulder pad further includes at least one side pad assembly having an epaulet and a shoulder cap, wherein the shoulder cap overlies the wearer's shoulder region and the epaulet overlies both the arch member and the shoulder cap. The side pad assembly is operably secured to the body arch member by a fastening assembly that includes a flexible single band. Unlike conventional designs, the single band secures both the epaulet and the shoulder cap to the upper portion of the arch member. The shoulder pad further includes a pair of interior pad assemblies wherein each interior pad assembly is removably connected to an arch member.

Abstract: A device for allowing a user to adjust drainage properties of a sink drain is disclosed, comprising an inner tube inserted into a stopper ring. The stopper ring is inserted into the drain such that liquids cannot enter the sink drain except by traversing the inner tube. An outer tube is fitted substantially completely around the inner tube. A selector slot of the outer tube may be aligned with a selected drain slot of the inner tube to allow draining of the sink down to a lower height of an exposed drain slot of the inner tube. A straining tube is adapted to fit loosely around the outer tube and has a plurality of straining apertures each no larger than a predetermined size. The apertures are formed along the entire length of the straining tube. With the straining tube placed around the outer tube, debris having a size larger than the predetermined size is prevented from flowing through the slots of the outer and inner tubes and into the sink drain.

Abstract: A urine shield selectively coupled to a hinge, the hinge connected to a toilet seat or other toilet structure so that the shield hangs down and pivots at the hinge. When the seat or lid is raised, the shield naturally rests against the back of the toilet bowl to guide itinerant urine into the toilet bowl. The hinge coupling the shield to the seat or lid is selectively removable to permit easy access for cleaning. Accessories can be included such as a light to guide a user's aim in the dark.

The holder is formed from a single rod member uniquely bent to effect a three-dimensional structure having C-shaped lateral supports and a C-shaped central support. The lateral supports each have a free rod end, a lateral support end portion, and a rim-traversing-engaging portion. The central support has opposed central support end portions and a towel-support portion. The central and lateral support end portions integrally form opposed sink-engaging junctions. The free rod ends, rim-traversing-engaging portions, and sink-engaging junctions engage the sink, and the inherent weight of the rod member aligns the towel support portion relative to a sink rim. The towel support portion of the towel holder may thus bear a towel in adjacency to the pedestal sink.

The lift system (10) permits a single attendant to raise the cot (2) from a lowered position to a raised position, and an infinite number of positions therebetween, and to raise the wheeled base relative to the support frame to situate the cot onto an elevated surface such as the transport deck of an ambulance. A manual override is also provided to conserve battery (30) power and as a back-up in no-power situations. It is to be appreciated that the above described manual override mode may be used when raising or lowering the cot (2) without power assist, dropping the undercarriage (11) when unloading from a vehicle, and lifting the undercarriage (11) when loading into a vehicle.

The device has at least one pull means which can be utilized to move the underlying mat by one individual by lifting or sliding.

Abstract: Technology is described herein for providing implementations of a maternity pillow that hugs the contours of a pregnant woman's midsection, providing support to her belly while she is lying on her side and preventing the weight of her belly from pulling on her back. The maternity pillows of the claimed invention are designed so as to negate the need for adjustment every time the woman moves, rolls over, gets up or lies down. Additionally, the maternity pillows of the claimed invention specifically target the midsection of a woman's body that needs support while lying down, without providing unnecessary and/or unwanted bulk.

Another object is the use of the afore-said combination of components (a) to (c) to produce a nacreous luster effect in dye carrier compositions and colorants for keratin fibers.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to the dyeing of keratin materials using styryl hydroxy(cyclo)alkylamino thiol/disulfide fluorescent dyes. Disclosed herein is a dye composition comprising a styryl hydroxy(cyclo)alkylamino thiol/disulfide fluorescent dye and a dyeing process with, for example, a lightening effect on keratin materials such as hair, using said composition. Disclosed herein are novel thiol/disulfide fluorescent dyes and the uses thereof in lightening keratin materials. This composition makes it possible to obtain a lightening effect which can be resistant and visible on dark keratin fibers.

Abstract: Fluorescent phenyl xanthene dyes are described that comprise any fluorescein, rhodamine or rhodol comprising a particular C9 phenyl ring. One or both of the ortho groups on the lower C9 phenyl ring is ortho substituted with a group selected from alkyl, heteroalkyl, alkoxy, halo, haloalkyl, amino, mercapto, alkylthio, cyano, isocyano, cyanato, mercaptocyanato, nitroso, nitro, azido, sulfeno, sulfinyl, and sulfino. In one embodiment, halo and/or hydroxy groups are used. Optimal dyes contain a lower C9 phenyl ring in which both ortho groups are the same and the lower ring exhibits some form a symmetry relative to an imaginary axis running from the phenyl rings point of attachment to the remainder of the xanthene dye through a point para to the point of attachment. The phenyl xanthene dyes may be activated. Furthermore, the phenyl xanthene dyes may be conjugated to one or more substances including other dyes.

Abstract: A multiple, disposable, biodegradable dental implement system in which a plurality of disposable, flat dental implements are formed from a large planar blank. Each dental implement includes a flat toothbrush head and a flat gum massager head formed on opposite ends of a flat elongated shank. Adjacent implements are formed in the blank by perforation lines that allow the implements to be individually detached from the blank just prior to use. In the preferred embodiment, each toothbrush head includes a plurality of concave ridges formed while the gum massaging head is made of a plurality of convex curved ridges complimentary with the concave ridges on the adjacent toothbrush. The planar blank is made of disposable paper and embedded with dry toothpaste or mouthwash which is activated by the user's saliva when used.
