  • Publication number: 20090211143
Abstract: A maneuverable fishing lure for attachment to a fishing line includes a lure body including a first end and a second end. An attachment means joins to the fishing line where a retrieval of the fishing line imparts motion on the lure through water. A rudder is pivotally joined to the lure body proximate to the first end. The rudder is pivotal between a first position and a second position about a pivot axis substantially perpendicular to an axis extending through the first end and the second end. With the rudder in the first position, the motion causes the lure to travel through the water in a first direction. With the rudder in the second position, the motion causes the lure to and travel through the water in a second direction. A change in the motion causes the rudder to pivot between the first position and the second position.

The roofing bracket includes a reference brace and a clip. The reference brace includes a first brace face positioned planarly parallel with the vertical post and a second brace face extending at an angle angle from the first brace face and positioned planarly parallel with the vertical post. The clip includes a first clip face positioned to be fastened generally flush with the horizontal purlin and a second clip face extending at an angle from the first clip face and positioned to be fastened planarly parallel with the vertical post. The second clip face is coupled to the first brace face at a pivot point such that the clip can be rotated a particular angle relative to the reference brace.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a brace apparatus having a core member configured to absorb energy generated by seismic or other forces by undergoing plastic deformation. A buckling restraining assembly is included for maintaining the structural integrity of the brace after the core member has undergone plastic deformation. The buckling restraining assembly includes one or more bearings is located proximal the core member. The bearings are adapted to minimize friction between the core member and the buckling restraining apparatus. An air gap is positioned between the core member and the one or more bearings of the buckling restraining apparatus are adapted to prevent bonding of the core member and buckling restraining assembly. Projections are included in the core member of the brace apparatus to minimize movement of the middle portion of the core member relative to the buckling restraining assembly.

The first and second interlocking strips move relative to each other such that they span the space between the object and the planar-surface. The first and second interlocking strips are movable linearly, angularly, and vertically to achieve concealment of the space between the object and the planar surface.

Abstract: A door frame employs jambs or jamb assemblies which are essentially devoid of materials which are susceptible of being damaged by the affects of weather. Side jambs, optionally supplemented by inserts, extend from an underlying floor/substrate to the header, and can be fabricated from e.g. common-profile extruded aluminum moldings. The inner panel of such molding, which faces across the doorway opening, can be reinforced, from a relatively lesser thickness portion thereof, by a relatively greater thickness portion of such inner panel. The jambs can have rear cavities which receive inserts which can receive nails and/or screws. The inserts can be held in the cavities by protuberances and cooperating recesses which collectively balance front-to-rear loading forces. The rear cavity and the insert are configured such that loads interacting between the cavity side panels and the insert are generally balanced, front-to-rear, by protuberances and recesses on the respective side panels and insert.

Abstract: A door frame employs extruded aluminum jamb moldings, including extruded jambs, or jamb cover moldings in combination with jamb substrates. The extruded aluminum molding includes a mounting fin kerf. The kerf is generally boot-shaped, having an inwardly-disposed foot portion and an opening having an ankle-shaped cross-section. The mounting fin can be generally rigid, such as an extruded aluminum fin or a generally rigid polymeric fin. The kerf, in combination with the mounting fin, which has a bulbous rigid base, facilitates locking the fin in an erect orientation at about 75 degrees to about 90 degrees relative to the jamb body or the jamb substrate. The kerf/fin combination further provides improved ease of release of the fin from the erect orientation and facilitates rotating/retracting the fin into contact with the jamb body or jamb substrate.
