In particular, numerous bacterial and fungal strains were isolated from a variety of soil types, from rhizospheres and from root nodules of leguminous plants, in designed combinations, for providing plant growth and plant productivity enhancing formulations. These specifically designed polymicrobial formulations would further provide protection against plant pathogens lowering the need for nitrogen containing fertilizers, solubilize minerals, protect plants against pathogens, and make available to the plant valuable nutrients, such as phosphate, thus reducing and eliminating the need for using chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides.

Abstract: A tire testing machine according to the present invention, which can measure both uniformity and dynamic balance of a tire T, comprises a spindle for driving the tire T to rotate about a vertical axis, a spindle housing which supports the spindle rotatably, and a rotating drum rotatable about an axis parallel to an axis of the spindle and movable toward and away from the tire T. The spindle housing is fixed to a base through a piezoelectric sensor so that it can bear a pressing force provided from the rotating drum. The piezoelectric sensor is disposed within a plane including the axis of the spindle and perpendicular to the pressing force. With this structure, dynamic balance of the tire can be measured accurately and easily.

Abstract: An inertial measurement system having a triangular cupola shaped base structure with three mutually orthogonal sides and a bottom surface surrounding a hollow core. The bottom surface includes an aperture providing access to the hollow core. An inertial module is mounted on each of the sides and includes a gyroscopic rotational rate sensor and a linear accelerometer connected to a circuit board. The inertial measurement system also includes a motherboard and a plurality of metallization elements. The metallization elements extend from the bottom surface to the sides of the base structure and conductively connect the inertial module to the motherboard. The inertial measurement system may also include a non-conductive adhesive underfill positioned between the inertial module and the base structure.

Abstract: An optical accelerometer including a light source, a light detector and a flexible medium positioned between the light source and the light detector. The flexible medium has an opening through which the light beam from the light sources passes with the light beam being detected by the light detector. Movement by the flexible medium in response to acceleration or deceleration varies the intensity of the light beam detected by the light detector.

Abstract: With a sensor having a centrifugal mass in the form of a balancing rocker which is deflectable in the z-direction, to avoid asymmetrical clipping in the case of lever arms of the balancing rocker that are of different lengths, a limit-stop device, which shortens the possible deflection, is provided on the side of the shorter lever arm, or, in the case of lever arms of equal length, at least one additional mass disposed on the side on one lever arm is provided, so that the maximum mechanical deflection of the centrifugal mass is of equal magnitude on both sides of the asymmetrical balancing rocker.

Abstract: An acoustic method and apparatus detects or characterizes a medium in a structure which may be a container, such as a pipeline for transportation of oil, gas, or hydrocarbon condensate. A pulse of broadband acoustic energy is emitted towards the structure by a first transducer. A return signal is generating by a second transducer from acoustic energy returned from the structure in response to the emission of acoustic energy. A return signal spectrum representing acoustic spectral components of the acoustic energy returned from the structure is derived from the return signal, and the medium is detected or characterized by applying a return signal processing medium detection or characterization algorithm to the return signal spectrum.

Abstract: The invention relates to methods for testing a bearing component, in order to ensure that the bearing surface and a load-bearing region located underneath said bearing surface are in a perfect condition. According to the invention, a material testing depth containing the point of maximum mechanical load during operation is determined; in a first partial testing step, the bearing component is subjected to an ultrasound test by which means the material region underneath the bearing surface is tested for defects by means of ultrasound, at least up to the material testing depth; in a second partial testing step, a full optical test of the bearing surface is carried out, during which the actual surface state of the bearing surface is compared with a nominal surface state; and the bearing component is then only classified as faultless if the results of the two partial testing steps do not reveal any defects.
