Abstract: The object of our invention is to provide the military wearer the option for placing hard plate body armor externally over his existing fragmentation vest. Our invention allows the wearer to select plate size and location, and then rapidly attach plates to connectors on the fragmentation vest carrier. Our invention's advantage is allowing the user to rapidly increase area of coverage and increased protection levels based on threats or special mission with no modifications to the solder's outer tactical ballistic vest. Our invention comprises at least one ballistic plate, a carrier pocket for the ballistic plate that surrounds the ballistic plate, attachment loops on the pocket, and a readily attachable and detachable mechanical attachment mechanism. The invention attaches to existing attaching points on the soldier's fragmentation vest.

  • Publication number: 20090320181
Abstract: The current invention discloses a simple method and device to prevent trousers' hem sliding under the heels, no matter how long the legs are. The present invention discloses a unique way of using adhesive material, such as hook and loop fasteners (such as Velcro™) or magnetic material, to prevent legs of trousers or pants from getting caught under footwear. According to this invention adhesive material is applied on the back of the footwear and on the inner seams of the trousers. When the two parts of the adhesive material is attached together, the hem is locked to the shoe and it cannot slip under the heel. The invention according to this disclosure allows a method to attach the hems directly onto the shoe, without a need to have any separate parts. Moreover, once the parts of this invention are attached to the trousers and to the shoes there is no need to any adjustments or assemblies later on.

Abstract: This is a type of connection device between toilet and drainpipe, including trap with inlet connected to toilet flush port and outlet connected to drainpipe. The trap has bend part and horizontal lower pipe connected to it. Upper and lower inner pipe walls of the horizontal lower pipe have different declination angles. There is containing part in the inlet; and in the containing part there is sealing part forming sealing structure between the flush port and inlet. This simplifies the complex structure of existing toilet drainage part for on-site installation, for reliable use. Separated trap design features the structure that can generate siphon phenomenon. At the time of sales, wash-down drainage can be easily transformed to siphon wash-down drainage just by changing such parts as the trap of the toilet, thus improving the drainage effect.

The rescue device is adapted to connect to the frame of existing self-contained breathing apparatus frames or racks. In one form, the rescue device has a top and bottom frame which connects to the SCBA tank at the top and bottom locations. The frames project around the body of the SCBA tank and extend out to position rolling elements for providing the transportation needs. The frames are connected to the tank of an SCBA by way of a quick-release linkage system. The frames have at the rolling elements ends wheel forks which contain wheels having axles. In another embodiment a skid plate is attached to the ends of the frames in conjunction with the protruding wheels or by itself without rolling elements.

Abstract: A spinal-length mattress including a means for providing buoyancy to a human torso and abdomen thereon; attached to the mattress at one end, a pelvic support portion; and attached to the mattress at an opposite end, a head rotation stabilization portion having an air passage opening allowing a person to breathe freely when resting in a face down position thereon. By supporting the pelvis and stabilizing the head to substantially limit motions of the neck, a central cushion (preferably dominated by a “shape memory foam” filling) allows the spinal column to passively distribute all directional stresses—including those deriving from body mass and from muscle tension. Thus relieved of stress, disks between spinal bones begin to return to their respective naturally compliant symmetrical shapes; thereby generally providing a long term benefit in exchange for a quarter hour or a half hour of regular prone-oriented engagement with the mattress.

Abstract: One embodiment relates to a headboard design that offers an alternative to the conventional headboards that are available in the marketplace today. I have found through observation that most headboards work fine considering their design and use, however some consumers just want to have a headboard that is extremely easy to install without the hassle of using tools and/or the expense of having to purchase complete bed frame packages that include a footboard with rails.

Abstract: An inflatable bed assembly having a plurality of inflatable cushion cells disposed on the top of the inflatable bed. Each cushion cell has a vent fluidly interconnecting the interior volume of the cushion cell with a main air chamber of the bed. When the bed is inflated, the cushion cells inflate and form raised projections on the top of the bed. The cushion cells provide a pressure sensitive surface which molds to the user's body for increased comfort. The vents are sized to allow the cushion cells to inflate upon inflation of the main air chamber, partially deflate when pressure is applied, and re-inflate when the pressure is removed. The size of the vents dampens the rate that air passes through the vent. The controlled inflation and deflation of the cells softens the impact caused by application of a body thereon and simulates the dampened response of “memory-foam”.
