Publication number: 20100064804Abstract: In a angular rate sensor, a weight and a base are connected directly through piezoelectric bimorph detectors and piezoelectric bimorph exciters each having a bent portion. When acceleration is applied to the weight, the weight is displaced so as to deform the piezoelectric bimorph detectors. Due to this deformation, charges generated in the piezoelectric bimorph detectors are detected so as to detect acceleration. If an angular rate is applied to the weight when the weight is vibrated by the piezoelectric bimorph exciters, Coriolis force is generated in the weight so as to deform the piezoelectric bimorph detectors. Due to this deformation, charges generated in the piezoelectric bimorph detectors are detected so as to detect the angular rate.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 26, 2009Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventors: Takashi Kawakubo, Toshihiko Nagano, Michihiko Nishigaki

Publication number: 20100064845Abstract: A bicycle sprocket crank assembly is comprised of first and second crank arms joined to a spindle. One of the crank arms and the spindle may be fabricated as a unitary structure, or both cranks arms may be formed as separate structures and joined together. In either case the spindle has at least a first coupling end with an internally tapped axial bore defined therein and the second crank arm forms at least a first socket at its axle end. At least a first wedging sleeve is provided and is disposed about the first coupling end of the spindle. The first wedging sleeve conforms to the shapes of both the first coupling end of the spindle and the hollow cavity in the first socket.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2009Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventor: George French

Publication number: 20100064846Abstract: A pedal assembly for a bicycle comprises a pedal body, a shaft, an anti-leakage unit and an engaging unit. The pedal body is provided in one side thereof with a first through hole for an accommodation of a first shaft sleeve, and in the other opposite side thereof with a second through hole for an accommodation of a second shaft sleeve. The shaft is provided with a flange and penetrates the first shaft sleeve and the second shaft sleeve. The anti-leakage unit including a first elastic element is mounted on the shaft. The engaging unit including a second elastic element is mounted on the distal end of the shaft. By such arrangements, since the first and the second elastic elements have the function of elastic recovery, the clearance caused due to abrasion can be effectively eliminated, and the rotating speed of the pedal body can be suppressed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 17, 2008Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventor: WEN-FENG TSAI

Publication number: 20100064848Abstract: A transmission and a gear changing method capable of changing a reduction ratio while a load is supported without stopping rotation, and transmitting a rotation angle accurately and power efficiently. First and second gear element pairs (16, 17) are arranged between an input member (12) and an output member (14) via first and second clutches (40, 42), and a non-circular gear pair (18) is arranged via a non-circular gear element pair-use clutch (44). The non-circular gear pair (18) includes between the input member (12) and the output member (14) a first meshing section where it has a ratio equal to a first reduction ratio when the first gear element pair (16) is coupled, and a second meshing section where it has a ratio equal to a second reduction ratio when the second gear element pair (17) is coupled.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 15, 2007Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventor: Masaharu Komori

Publication number: 20100064850Abstract: A mass of solid aluminium carbide containing product is produced by injecting particulate alumina into a bath (30) of molten aluminium metal; and injecting carbonaceous material, consisting of, containing or yielding carbon, into the bath (30). The bath (30) of molten aluminium metal is maintained at a superheated temperature to heat and react carbon with molten aluminium to produce solid aluminium carbide which mixes with alumina to form a mass (36) containing entrapped gas and entrapped molten aluminium metal and having a bulk or apparent density less than aluminium. The mass is allowed to accumulate as a mass of solid aluminium carbide containing product on the upper surface of the bath. The carbonaceous material is a hydrocarbon material or is produced by pyrolysis, decomposition or cracking of a hydrocarbon material.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 21, 2007Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventor: Yaghoub Sayad-Yaghoubi

Publication number: 20100064853Abstract: The invention provides a method of chemical recovery of no-carrier-added radioactive tin (NCA radiotin) from intermetallide TiSb irradiated with accelerated charged particles. An irradiated sample of TiSb can be dissolved in acidic solutions. Antimony can be removed from the solution by extraction with dibutyl ether. Titanium in the form of peroxide can be separated from tin using chromatography on strong anion-exchange resin. In another embodiment NCA radiotin can be separated from iodide solution containing titanium by extraction with benzene, toluene or chloroform. NCA radiotin can be finally purified from the remaining antimony and other impurities using chromatography on silica gel. NCA tin-117m can be obtained from this process. NCA tin-117m can be used for labeling organic compounds and biological objects to be applied in medicine for imaging and therapy of various diseases.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2009Publication date: March 18, 2010Inventors: Elena V.
