  • Patent number: 7716781
Abstract: A cleaner (1) has a DC brushless motor (15) with stator (203) and rotor (212). Stator is mounted on a shaft and rotor is mounted inside and to a tubular body (207) about stator (203). Impeller (17) is mounted to and outside tubular body (207). The motor (15) and impeller (17) are mounted in a housing having an intake (17) and an exhaust (9). Operation of the motor and rotation of the impeller causes a partial vacuum at the intake (7) to draw air. The air is exhausted through the exhaust (9). A filter (61) prevents particles from entering the motor (15). Particles are collected in a receptacle (5) prior to the filter (61). The impeller (17) may be a squirrel cage fan, bladed fan, or centrifugal fan. A secondary exhaust (11) expels particles from the filter (61) and/or receptacle (5) by rotation of the impeller (17) in an opposite direction or by the use of a secondary DC motor and impeller. The housing (2) can fit in a cavity between conventional wall studs.

The wafer is cut into rovers in each of which are connected head elements. Rover air bearing surfaces are polished until an MR elements attain a predetermined height. A final polishing step finishes air bearing surfaces by applying an electroconductive polishing liquid to achieve a predetermined shape and surface roughness with high accuracy. A pinning defect occurrence rate is reduced by suppressing deterioration in pinning strength of a pinned layer of a read element. To achieve this, a specific resistance of the electroconductive polishing liquid is controlled to 5 G?·cm or less. • Patent number: 7716812
Abstract: A main magnetic pole of a recording head is formed in an inverted trapezoidal shape by ion milling but, the long milling time poses a problem of variations in the inverted trapezoidal shape and the dimensional variations in track width. In one embodiment of the invention, a recording head is formed by first forming a lower magnetic pole, a gap layer, and conductor coils, forming an upper magnetic yoke over the gap layer at a position recessed from the air bearing surface, and forming an inorganic insulative layer in the recessed portion. A back magnetic pole connected with the upper magnetic yoke is formed on the back of the lower electrode. • Patent number: 7716820
Abstract: Apparatus for precision deploy-attaching beam-mount structure to the outside of an elongate column at plural, defined attachment sites that are distributed and spaced along the length of the column. During use, a column support jig with plural openable/closeable yokes in the apparatus supports a column horizontally for selective rotation about its long axis. A carriage in the apparatus, which holds beam-mount structures to be attached to a supported column, is selectively moveable and position-lockable in defined locations distributed along the supported column between yokes in a pair of spaced yokes to enable precision weld-attaching of the mounts to sides of the column.

  • Patent number: 7716821
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a circuit board assembly for a controller. The method includes providing first and second printed circuit boards wherein the first printed circuit board has a plurality of copper pads containing slots therein that correspond to a plurality of power tabs in the second printed circuit board. The power tabs are then slid into the slots and the tabs are flooded with copper. At this time the power tabs are soldered within the slots to provide an electrical connection between the first and second printed circuit boards that allows for the transfer of current between the boards of more than three amps.

  • Patent number: 7716824
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to finely conduct an inspection of high integration devices by making it possible to form guide holes in a support plate of a probe card in a narrower pitch than in the conventional case of forming the guide holes in a support plate of the same area, and to broaden a range of options for an elastic member which works to urge a probe pin. The present invention has a circuit board and a support plate being placed under the circuit board and supporting the probe pin. In the guide hole formed in the support plate, the probe pin composed of an elastic portion and a pin portion is inserted, and a rip of the pin portion protrudes downward from the support plate. The guide hole has a quadrangular horizontal sectional shape.

  • Patent number: 7716825
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a printed wiring board, including forming a thermosetting resin layer on the printed wiring board; heating and curing the resin layer; and then polishing the cured resin layer, thereby exposing the circuit patterns. Additionally, the step of heating and curing includes maintaining the resin layer at a non-curable temperature in a state where the resin layer is pressed via the smoothing plate in a reduced pressure chamber; heating the resin layer in the pressed state to a curing temperature; introducing outside air into the reduced pressure chamber with the pressed state and the curing temperature maintained; reducing the pressure applied to the smoothing plate with the curing temperature maintained; and cooling the resin layer.

Abstract: A heat exchanger including a header having a plurality of header openings with rigid tubes that may be made of plastic are inserted in the openings. The tubes are sealed to the header to prevent leakage between the header and the tubes to prevent water and air leakage between the wet, scavenger air stream flowing through the tubes and a dry air stream flowing around the tubes. A method of making the heat exchanger includes providing the openings with a flange and uses an interference fit between the rigid heat exchange tubes and the header openings.
