Abstract: The present invention relates to a photo display assembly that includes: a means to slidably receive a photograph: a matted border surrounding the means to slidably receive a photograph; and an opening created by the border that provides a view of the photograph. The means to slidably receive may include a substantially rectangular sleeve. The opening to view the photograph may be configured into as one of the following shapes: a rectangular, oval, star or square. The photograph may be received at the top of the display assembly or through either side of the display assembly.

Abstract: A thin, graphic support assembly comprising an elongated base rail and an elongated cover rail which come together around a board to form four sides of a frame. A spring mechanism is fully captured after the base rail and cover rail are assembled together, and the angle and position of the spring channel allows the hinge location to be at the top/outer edge of the frame. The elongated base rail and elongated cover rail can be oriented in a parallel relationship when closed for capturing a display panel or a perpendicular relationship when open for inserting or removing a display panel.

Abstract: A universal magazine release mechanism for firearms has a frame defining a cartridge magazine chamber receiving a cartridge magazine and having a magazine release receptacle intersecting the cartridge magazine chamber. A magazine release member is mounted within the magazine release receptacle and has linear movement to a magazine retaining position and a magazine release position. A spring urges the magazine release member toward the magazine retaining position. A magazine release button extends from the magazine release member and is exposed externally of the firearm frame for engagement and linear movement by the thumb of a user's hand. The magazine release member is selectively positioned to locate the magazine release button for thumb actuation by a right-handed user or a left-handed user.

In this regard, a representative firearm includes an elongate removable backstrap selectively mountable to a grip of the firearm such that, when mounted thereto, an effective size of the grip is increased. A pin used for mounting the backstrap can also secure a trigger mechanism housing to the receiver of the firearm.

Abstract: The supplemental magazine holder for a firearm is quickly and easily installed upon and removed from a handgun or other firearm, and temporarily and removably holds an extra ammunition magazine at the ready for rapid replacement in the firearm as needed. The magazine holder is longitudinally symmetrical to provide for its reversal for installation with the magazine holder sleeve disposed to either side of the weapon, as desired. The attachment bracket portion may be configured to attach to a conventional accessory attachment rail, e.g., Picatinny rail or the like, or to clamp to the frame of the weapon as required. An additional embodiment is laterally symmetrical with a magazine holder sleeve extending to each side of the attachment bracket.

Abstract: A scope mount base design which readily accepts onto a preexisting rear sight base without any alteration of the sight base except for the easy removal of the original sight leaf and mainspring. This scope mount invention achieves solid lockup by the use of the appropriate sized threaded support fixtures and scope mount configuration to successfully engage these rear sight slots that originally contained the sight leaf and mainspring, and thus achieve strong lockup of the scope mount to the sight base.

Abstract: A fishing lure device is provided which includes a frame having an eye at the forward end thereof with first and second rearwardly extending and diverging frame members extending therefrom. Spinner blades or buzz blades are rotatably mounted on the first frame member and a fish lure is attached to the rearward end of the second frame member by means of a quick-attach mechanism so that different fish lures may be selectively removably positioned on the rearward end of the second frame member.

Abstract: A fishing lure kit contains material for making fishing lures. The lures comprise, in combination, a hook, an eye assembly and a camouflage assembly for mimicking a live prey animal. The eye assembly comprises one flexible heat shrink tube having a first end and a second end. A bead is inserted into each end of the tube. Heat is applied to encapsulate the beads in the tube ends forming an eye assembly. The eye assembly is mounted to a hook and then camouflage is applied to create a prey animal. In another embodiment, two flexible heat shrink tubes are employed. A bead is mounted into one end of each tube and the opposite end of the tube is mounted to a rack to retain its pre-heat diameter after heat is applied. The eye assemblies are threaded onto the hook and overlap each other so that their respective eye stalks protrude in opposite directions. Camouflage material is added to finish the lure.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for attracting insects, a receptacle for a dispenser being provided that is adapted to release at least one chemical attractant. Said receptacle is disposed inside a closed hollow body which has an opening. With this opening, the receptacle can be put over a heat source which also secures the hollow body. The receptacle for the dispenser allows to convert a device for catching flies, which is known per se, into a device for catching midges.

Abstract: In the present invention, a fuel composition and a process for making the same are disclosed. Specifically, in the present invention, triglycerides useful for distillate fuels are described along with their method for preparation from Fischer-Tropsch acid by-products and the glycerol by-product from biodiesel generation. By using these two by-product streams, the overall efficiency of both processes is improved and a new source of distillate fuels is created. These triglycerides can be used to improve the lubricity of Fischer-Tropsch derived distillate fuels. In addition, these triglycerides also have low melting points and have viscosities compatible with distillate fuels.

Abstract: The method allows to incorporate an alcohol or a mixture of alcohols into fuels by minimizing the energy expenditure linked with the prior production of the alcohol or of the mixture of alcohols. One or more bases of the fuel, to which an oxygen-containing compound or a mixture of oxygen-containing compounds have possibly been added, are used to extract the alcohol or the alcohol mixture contained in aqueous solutions produced by biomass fermentation processes. After adjusting the temperature of the aqueous solution stream and of the stream containing one or more bases of the fuel through exchangers, these streams are fed into an extractor. The extract leaving the extractor is then dried and/or an oxygen-containing compound or a mixture of oxygen-containing compounds is added thereto.

Biomass is introduced to a metering device, which includes a spreading device and an endless shaping belt lying beneath it in the direction of fall, in which a mat with an essentially uniform weight per unit area is formed in the metering device on the shaping belt and the metering device feeds the mat to a breaker device in front of the pelletizing press, in which the biomass is separated by the breaker device.

Abstract: A method and an installation for producing pellets from prepared biomass in a pelleting press for use as fuel in fireplaces. The biomass is made of fibers, shavings or chippings containing cellulose and/or lignocellulose, with or without a binding agent and/or additives, and after being prepared is stored in a biomass bunker. The method includes: biomass discharged from the biomass bunker into a scatter device, a mat made of the biomass having a substantially uniform weight per unit area formed by the scatter device on a molding belt, the mat produced on the molding belt examined by an examining device for defective spots and/or foreign substances, and the mat supplied to a pelleting press. At least parts of the mat or a section of the mat include defective regions and/or foreign substances separated from the method upstream of the pelleting press.

Abstract: A clean burning bio-coal consists of 70˜90 wt % of bio-fiber material and 1˜20 wt % of coal material. Liquid slag is separated on the walls of the reactor. The synthesis gas is generated in a first reaction chamber arranged in the upper part of the reactor and the feedstock is fed to the upper part. Liquid slag precipitates on its lateral walls, with free downflow and no solidification of the slag surface. The lower side has a hole with a slag drop-off edge, from which the generated synthesis gas can be withdrawn in downward direction and the liquid slag can drop off the edge. A second chamber which is delimited by a water film is located under the opening and used to keep the synthesis gas dry and cool. A third chamber is adjacent to the bottom of the second and fed with water to cool the synthesis gas.
