Abstract: An archery sight for use with an archery bow is described that comprises multiple elements for two-point alignment, but wherein each of the points of the two-point alignment are positioned away from the archer's eyes at the full-draw or ready-to-shoot position. In one embodiment, the archery sight comprises an alignment element and one or more target elements, the position of which are set independently of the other target elements. An adjustment mechanism is coupled to each of the elements, thereby permitting movement such as vertical and horizontal movement of the elements relative to the archery bow.

It is provided according to the invention that a combustion air supply of the heating unit is connected so it communicates with the dryer housing.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for drying produce in a centrifugal drier is described. The drier includes a housing and a drum configured to receive a multi-volume basket. The method includes loading produce into a first volume and a second volume of the multi-volume basket. The basket may include perforated walls, a closed lower end, and an open upper end. The interior volume of the basket is divided into at least a first volume and a second volume by a perforated inner divider that is oriented concentrically to the basket walls. The first volume is disposed inside the inner divider. The second volume is disposed between the inner divider and the basket walls. A drive assembly rotates the drum and the basket, loaded with produce in the first and second volumes, to cause fluids to drain out of the produce to yield dried produce.

Abstract: A dryer control method includes: a hot wind supply step in which hot wind is supplied to the dry items accommodated within the drum; an intermediate dry step in which the dry items are cooled and a hot wind supply to the cooled dry items is resumed; and a cooling step in which the hot wind supply is stopped and the dry items are cooled. Because the dry step is repeatedly performed on a dry item made of polyester fiber at short time intervals according to a proposed algorithm, a shrinkage of the dry item made of polyester fiber that may be otherwise generated in a general dry step can be prevented.

A deflection roller is disposed between the first dryer region and a second dryer region. The deflection roller deflects the paper web to a second dryer region, where drying gas nozzles are directed at the second paper web side. Support gas nozzles that are directed at the second paper web side are provided at least in the first dryer region. A support gas is conducted through the nozzle at the second paper web side and has a lower pressure than the drying gas applied to the first paper web side.

The full length composite plate comprises a composite material that has a certain percent elongation. The full length composite plate can include a heel cup for heel stability and improved traction. The full length composite plate also can include two angled portions along an arch region that provide arch support, as well as two flattened edges along the arch region to minimize or eliminate buckling. The forefoot region can be relatively flatter than the arch and heel regions, and notches are preferably included along a portion of the forefoot to increase flexibility.

To vary the ground interaction characteristics, the contour, height, and material makeup of the stud may be altered by varying the shape, number, thickness, length, and material of the rings. The stud components may be sold as a kit with at least one fastening member and a plurality of rings with varying characteristics. The kit may also include at least one washer.

Abstract: A clothing protector providing a projecting barrier to prevent clothing from becoming positioned between a heel of a foot and footwear being worn by a user. The protector has a planar body having an as-used position folded and within the gap between the heel of the foot and the footwear. Adhesive engages the body to both the heel of the foot and the top surface of the footwear. So engaged, a middle portion of the protector provides a barrier to clothing such as pants or a long dress from entering the gap when the user walks.

Abstract: A slipper includes a sole, a vamp, and a strap that extends from one side of the vamp to the other. The strap has a generally curved shape with an upper arc, lower arc, and rounded first and second ends. The ends of the strap are connected with the vamp such that the strap is positionable in either a rearward position or a forward position. In the rearward position, the strap supports the heel or ankle of a user. In the forward position, the strap is a vamp cuff. In some versions the strap may be detachable from the vamp altogether. Thus users can choose which strap configuration they desire. In some versions the strap is rotatably positionable and in some other versions the strap is detachable and re-attachable for positioning.

Abstract: A lock that includes a wedge that is used to releasably secure separable components of an assembly together. The wedge can be used with a spool. The wedge and spool are threadedly coupled together to drive the wedge into and out of an opening in the assembly without hammering or prying. The direct coupling of the wedge and spool eliminates the need for bolts, washers, nuts and other hardware so as to minimize the number of parts. As a result, the lock is inexpensive to make, easy to use, and unlikely to become inoperative because of lost or broken parts or due to fines or other difficulties encountered in harsh digging environments. Further, the wedge can be driven into the assembly to provide the degree of tightness necessary for the intended operation and/or to re-tighten the assembly after incurring wear during use. A latch assembly is preferably provided to securely hold the wedge in place and avoid an undesired loss of parts during use.

Abstract: An improved illuminated airfield guidance sign of the type used for marking ground traffic routes on runways and taxiways employs LED-based lamps for even illumination of the legend panels. The lamps each employ an array of white LEDs mounted on a generally cylindrical turret, and oriented with the turret axis horizontal, so that the LEDs aim their beams up, down, or laterally, and not towards the legend panels. The illumination has to bounce at least once on an interior reflective surface before reaching the legend panels. These can receive power from storage batteries that are charged from solar panels or wind turbines, with back-up power coming from the standard runway-taxiway power.

Abstract: A sign-type lighting fixture assembly is provided herein. The assembly includes an illuminating lighting fixture, a canopy, and a canopy lock. The lighting fixture has a housing with a perimetrical wall. The perimetrical wall includes a fixture opening therein. The canopy secures the lighting fixture to the canopy. The canopy has a canopy opening for passage of electrical wires. The canopy further includes a pair of inwardly deflectable fingers for insertion into the fixture opening for resilient securement to the perimetrical wall of the lighting fixture. The canopy lock is configured to be inserted into the canopy opening. The canopy lock is disposed between the pair of deflectable fingers of the canopy to prevent inward deflection of the fingers of the canopy to prevent removal from the lighting fixture.

Abstract: A garment tag is provided that includes a band having a first opening for attaching to a first fastener of a garment and a second opening for attaching to a second fastener of the garment, the band having a first display portion that displays printed information regarding the garment at a fold in the garment when the garment is in a folded state. The first and second fasteners may be buttons and the first and second openings may be slots. The first display portion may be defined by two creases in the band, the creases being spaced apart by the approximate width of the garment fold. The band may also be pre-folded at the creases.

Abstract: The present invention provides a display assembly for posters and the like having a protective sheet that may be replaced with no need to dismount the frame. The protective sheet comprises a hinge allowing the sheet to be flexed outwardly to change the display. The display assembly further comprises at least one frame cover which is removably connected to the frame member. The display assembly may be configured to allow the posters to be viewed from both sides.

Abstract: A framing system suitable for framing artwork, drawings, pictures and the like. In one embodiment, a frame structure is formed of vertical and horizontal elements wherein a channel is formed in the top of the frame that will hold a variety of removable decorative panels, including, but not limited to mats, glass, wood, marble and fabric. The frame structure can be reused multiple times by changing the decorative panels to match new art or room decor. In one embodiment the decorative panel is made from the same mat board used in the inside mat of a double mat, that matches the color of the focal point of a picture, creating a visual progression from frame panel color to inside mat color to the picture focal point color. Abstract: A polymeric revolver including a frame, a cylinder mounted in a rectangular aperture in the frame, a cylinder retaining mechanism and a cylinder releasing mechanism is provided. The cylinder retaining mechanism includes two assemblies: (1) an extractor, locking bolt and locking bolt retainer that house an extractor rod spring, and (2) a ratchet hub driver, hub drive center pin and central pin plate that house a ratchet drive spring. The two assemblies are biased toward one another forming a locking engagement of the extractor and the ratchet hub driver. The locking engagement is enhanced by a star-shaped configuration of grooves and ridges on the extractor and ratchet hub driver, respectively. The cylinder releasing mechanism includes a cylinder release lever that actuates the hub drive center pin and ratchet hub driver out of locking engagement with the extractor, and an ambidextrous thumb piece that facilitates access to the cylinder release lever.

Abstract: A tight, insulating enclosure for a rifle or shotgun is provided. Such an enclosure envelops the wooden stock and other wooden portions of a suitable firearm, at least, to protect the wooden surfaces thereof during storage, transportation, and utilization. The enclosure itself contains rubberized foam components to impart insulation around the wooden portions as protection against hard and/or extended surfaces that may bump, scratch, dent, or otherwise disfigure the wooden portions of a rifle or shotgun. Furthermore, the enclosure is of a single construction with suitable cut-out portions for movable parts, such as a trigger, a clip, a scope, and the like and is secured around the target firearm in a tight-fitting fashion in order to protect the noted surfaces, as well as provide shock absorption during firing. In such a manner, the enclosure permits access at all times to the necessary movable components while ensuring a snug fit around the delicate portions of the rifle or shotgun.

The ring cap and ring base securely grip the scope without damaging the scope. Clamping forces are generally tangent to the scope to minimize or limit the formation of dents, grooves, or other types of marring and/or damage to optics or the body of the scope.

Abstract: A device to lift a motion decoy includes a main chamber; a piston that extends inside and outside of the main chamber; an end of the piston outside of the main chamber adapted to connect to the decoy; a gasket on the piston, inside the main chamber, that helps the pressure of the water urge the piston to rise so that the piston lifts and lowers the decoy, the gasket helping stabilize the piston relative to the main chamber when the piston has risen; a water pump that provides the main chamber with water under pressure so as to urge the piston to rise; and a contact switch on the piston that, upon lack of contact between the contact switch and the main chamber, allows the decoy to activate a motion. An inner piston may rise out of the piston to further lift the decoy.

The driven gear is releasably engaged to the jaw frame when the jaw frame is in the sprung position. A lever means or electric motor is provided for the selective engagement with the drive gear. When the lever or electric motor is selectively engaged to the drive gear and is rotated, the drive gear is rotated causing the driven gear to rotate to thereby pivot the jaw frame to the cocked position. After the animal is trapped, the lever or drive gear is selectively engaged with the drive gear. This permits the jaw frame to be pivotally moved to the cocked position while simultaneously releasing the animal from the trap.
