Abstract: A hinge is mounted between a cover and a base of an electronic device and has a first actuating unit, a pivoting limit and a second actuating unit. The first actuating unit has two tops. The pivoting limit is mounted pivotally between the stops. The second actuating unit selectively abuts a first side and a second side of the pivoting limit. When the second actuating unit abuts one of the sides of the pivoting limit to pivot the pivoting limit, one of the sides of the pivoting limit abuts one of the stops to limit the rotating angle. With the pivot of the pivoting limit, the rotating angle is increased. Therefore, the cover of the electronic device is fully rotatable by 180 degrees in either direction, and the hinge still provides limiting function to protect inner wires.

Abstract: A heavy-duty clamp for a hose includes a loop, for disposing around the hose, which has two axially spaced apart looped ends. The clamp has a force generator which is connected to the two looped ends. The force generator has a bolt with a plurality of disc springs mounted thereon to allow substantially high and constant predetermined axial clamping force from the force generator under expansion and contraction of the hose over temperature operational condition of the clamp. A spacer member is mounted on the force generator between the disc spring and one of the looped ends for axially transferring the clamping force from the force generator to the looped ends. The clamping force axially draws together the looped ends so as to clamp the hose. The arrangement of the disc springs allows adjustment of the maximal allowable axial clamping force rating of the clamp.

Abstract: A curtain bead chain fixing device includes a bead chain guide way through which a bead chain as a pull cord for controlling a curtain is extended and thereby becomes connected to the fixing device, and an elastically movable interfering element being normally pushed into the bead chain guide way to interfere with the free movement of the bead chain in and along the bead chain guide way. When the fixing device is adequately mounted to a wall surface according to specified installation procedures, the interfering element is forced out of the bead chain guide way to release the bead chain therefrom. Therefore, a user of the curtain is urged and guided to adequately mount the fixing device to hold the bead chain in place, and undesired accidents caused by a swinging bead chain can be avoided.

Abstract: A knife has a housing, an operating part shiftable on the housing between advanced and retracted positions, and a blade holder connected to the part and carrying a blade. The holder is shiftable on the part between offset first and second cutting positions with the blade projecting from the front end and a safety position with the blade recessed in the housing rearward of the front end. A spring biases the holder into the safety position. A brace element can shift between a position braced between the blade holder and the housing in the first cutting position and a position out of engagement with the blade holder or the housing in the second cutting position. The brace element when engaged holds the blade in the first cutting position but in the second cutting position is disengaged so the spring returns the holder to the safety position.

Abstract: Scissors including a stop on one of the blades located a specified distance from one end of the blade. The stop allows the user of the scissors to easily make repeated cuts of the same specified length by inserting a material into the opening between the blades until it hits the stop. Upon closing the blades a cut of the specified length is created. The stop may be implemented as a notch in the blade of the scissors, or as a separate part attached with pins to the blade allowing the user to position the moveable stop over different sets of pins to provide different distances from the end of the blade to the stop, so that the user can select the length of the desired cut.
