At least one tab is attached to the soft armor neck panel at a proximal end of the tab. A first half of a removable fastener is disposed on a distal end of the tab and configured to secure to a second half of the removable fastener that is disposed within a helmet. The soft armor neck panel may be shaped to curve around a user's neck.

Abstract: A yoga garment wrap, one each for the hand and the foot, each including opposite, external-surface-contact, and external-surface-non-contact side structures extending between open front and rear ends, and elastomeric, inter-digit, motion-and-escape-restraining straps, or a single strap, spanning the wrap's open front end, and interconnecting, the wrap's two side structures. The contact side structure includes an outer high-frictioning expanse, and a surface-to-surface loosely adjacent, inner moisture-wicking liner. Non-internally welted, or otherwise internally projecting seam structure units the lateral edges of the wrap's side structures.

Abstract: A child shirt for protection against skin irritation resulting from food spillage and dribble is disclosed. The child shirt comprises a moisture proof area laminated onto a chest region of the child shirt and a moisture proof collar area laminated onto a collar region of the child shirt. The moisture proof area includes a thin moisture proof fabric sewn onto a chest sized panel of shirt fabric. The thin moisture proof fabric incorporates a light weight plastic layer. The moisture proof collar area also includes a thin moisture proof fabric sewn onto a shirt fabric. When worn by a child, the moisture proof areas occupy an area directly beneath the child's chin and spans an area that may contact liquid and solid spills thereby keeping the child shirt dry. The child shirt may be machine washable and the moisture proof areas may be permanently attached.

The first zone of the garment is arranged in the spine area and comprises a higher degree of air permeability than the second zone. The second zone of the garment is arranged below the breast area and in the area of the lumbar vertebrae and comprises a higher degree of moisture wicking than the first zone.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for enhanced ergonomic bowel-movement posture are presented. The objective of the method and apparatus is to prevent injury to due to incorrect posture during a bowel movement. One aspect of the invention comprises a garment for use during a bowel movement comprising ergonomic enhancements such as a rigid spine, and convenience and hygienic enhancements such as dispensers for such liquid, aerosol, and/or paper products as are commonly required during a bowel movement. The method and apparatus enable more efficient and hygienic bowel movements, thereby avoiding health risks associated with known bowel movement methods.

Abstract: An advanced combat clothing system for military medics and medical professionals actively involved in the field of combat while providing acute emergency care for wounded soldiers. The Advanced Combat Uniform for Medics also referred to as the ACUM consists of a pair of trousers, a long sleeve shirt and a unique pocket receptacle invention which stabilizes the content within the pockets. The ACUM was invented to replace the use of roll-up bags and back packs used to carry the tools and supplies of the military medics during combat zone engagements. The ACUM invention was strategically designed to disburse the weight of the medical gear over the entire body, therefore, decreasing the entire weight load from exerting pressure over the lumbar and thoracic spinal locations. Additionally, by disbursing the pay-load or weight over the entire body, the military medic will be able to maneuver and combat with more accuracy and precision.

Abstract: A process to produce clothing for a male and clothing for a female that is different than the clothing for the male includes the steps of providing at least first and second pieces of like clothing; forming apertures in each piece of clothing by shooting the clothing with a firearm; marking the first piece of clothing at a first location to indicate the first piece of clothing is for males; and, marking the second piece of clothing at a second location different from the first location to indicate the second piece of clothing is for females.

The garment can include an outwardly facing surface configured to be visible when the garment is worn in a first state on a body of the wearer. The first state can represent a standard manner for the wearer to wear the garment in public. The garment can include at least one hidden surface comprising a hidden message. The hidden message can be one that is not visible when the garment is worn in the first state. The hidden message can be visible when the garment is worn is a second state. The second state can represent a state where at least a portion of the garment is being flipped.

Abstract: A pair of notches or slits in a collar can prevent the formation of bulky crests or wrinkling when the collar is arranged in an outer open ‘continental style’ under a jacket, however there is also a propensity for such a collar to curl up at the notches. The invention herein discloses the use of a fastening means to prevent the slit borders, forming the edge surfaces of each back section of the collar, from curling up from the shirt surface. The fastener means are located on each side of the collar, such that one member is located on the inner surface of the back collar where the outside edge meets the base of the slit edge and the other member is located on the outer surface of the collar band.

Abstract: A garment such as a shirt, blouse, jersey, vest or jacket, having a plurality of fastening points for attachment of a shirt stay, shirt holder or other retaining harness therethrough. The fastening points ensure that the garment remains tucked in to promote a uniform, neat appearance. Also disclosed is a method of retaining a garment in proper orientation on a wearer by providing a plurality of fastening points in the garment, at least some of which are preferably in pairs, such that each fastening point within a pair can be aligned with the other of the pair, and the pair can cooperatively receive a fastening mechanism therethrough to anchor the garment in place. The fastening points are positioned so that when one or more shirt stays, holders, harnesses or the like are properly engaged in the fastening points, a desired appearance of the garment being worn is created and maintained.

Abstract: A protective glove that includes an exterior protective shell and an interior polymer coating of natural anti-septic extract, possibly containing tea extract. The exterior shell can be a elastic rubbery material, such as natural rubber latex, synthetic rubber, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl, or synthetic nitrile rubber. The interior coating can be formed by dipping the glove in an aqueous solution of tea extract and polymer solution, such as silicone emulsion. The tea extract can be between 0.1-10% or 0.5-5%. A method of making the protective glove can involve forming the glove, dipping the glove in a solution of natural anti-septic extract and polymer, and then drying the glove.

When not used the mechanical apparatus sunbrella is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch. When not used the mesh sunscreen, the nonporous, non-permeable fabric is collapsible and foldable to a smaller size to be stored in a small pouch.

Abstract: An apparatus for mitigating a loss of or damage to protective eye goggles used in conjunction with a sporting helmet includes two goggle strap clips joinable to the sporting helmet on opposing sides. Each of the goggle strap clips includes a long, flat bottom surface for joining to the sporting helmet. Two upper legs are L-shaped and have an opening between ends of the upper legs for enabling a goggle strap to pass through the goggle strap clip and be secured in place. Abstract: A monitoring device and method are provided for monitoring a vacuum toilet, as well as a personal transport vehicle, in particular an aircraft, which uses a monitoring device for vacuum toilets. The monitoring device has a position detector for detecting the position of a toilet lid, a mechanical latching device and a flushing control unit. The latching device is designed to latch the toilet lid in an open position based on the weight of a person acting on a toilet seat. The flushing control unit is further designed to control the flushing operation based on the toilet lid position, and to block the flushing operation upon detection of the toilet lid in the open position. This makes it possible to improve both the comfort and hygienic conditions for the toilet user while using the vacuum toilet.

A pair of support members is positioned beneath the transverse support means and in generally perpendicular relation thereto. The support members are attached to the sub-frames in supporting engagement with the transverse support means when the sub-frames are unfolded to the open condition to provide support to the pair of sub-frames at the interface thereof. The pair of support members is attached to the sub-frames so as to be drawn away from the transverse support means when the sub-frames are folded to the collapsed condition.

Abstract: A patient support structure includes a pair of independently height-adjustable supports, each connected to a patient support structure. The supports may be independently raised, lowered, rolled or tilted about a longitudinal axis, laterally shifted and angled upwardly or downwardly. The sensors communicate data to a computer for coordinated adjustment and maintenance of the inboard ends of the patient support structures in an approximated position during such movements. Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for a method for securing a patient for a medical procedure and specifically for an innovative headrest system for securing a patient for an ocular imaging procedure. The approach avoids the need for linkages and sliding rods and such. Instead, it relies on three independently movable face rests (two for the forehead or temples and one for the chin) each with a deformable cushion that is urged into conformity with the patient's head and chin during an adjustment phase of operation. Once a comfortable position and suitable conforming shape is achieved, the positions of the face rests are rigidly fixed and the shape of the cushions are rendered rigid and non-deformable, by application of a light vacuum, for the procedural or imaging phase of operation.
