The apparatus may include a plate having a footprint that corresponds to a plate of body armor, a plurality of energy storage cells carried by the power plate, and a port carried by the plate. The port may be configured to output power stored in the plurality of energy storage cells from the apparatus. The apparatus may also include one or more processors configured to enhance functionalities of the apparatus.

Abstract: The invention relates to the provision of a suit for use to be worn by a person when immersed in water or in contact with water and may be provided, for example, as a wetsuit construction or a dry suit construction. The suit includes an outer intermediate layer typically of a knitted or woven material and in accordance with the invention there is provided on the inner side of said layer, at least one portion of the suit, an inner layer of wool blended with other material. This inner wool containing layer typically lies in contact with the wearer. In one embodiment the wool used is that obtained from Merino sheep which is found to be particularly well suited.

Abstract: A glove device for providing protection to the wrist and forearm of a user without restricting or impeding movement can include a lower section that conforms to the hand of a user, an upper section that conforms to the forearm of the user, and a middle section interposed between the lower and upper sections, said middle section conforming to the wrist of the user.

Abstract: A fabric which meets the high visibility standards of ANSI/ISEA 107 2004 or CSA Z-96 is disclosed. Yarn used in the fabric includes Aramid-based fibers and fibers that are capable of being dyed to meet the high visibility standards. The fibers may be selected and/or positioned so that the standards of ASTM D4108-87 and/or ASTM F1506 are met.

Abstract: A polymer latex composition has an acrylonitrile component, a polychloroprene component, and a natural latex component. When these components are blended together and formed into a film, the film exhibits a resistance to ozone that is greater than a resistance to ozone of materials in which acrylonitrile is not included. Furthermore, the combination of acrylonitrile and chloroprene imparts a synergistic effect to the composition with regard to ozone resistance. The film can be formed into a glove having a resistance to ozone that is improved over the resistance to ozone of gloves not including acrylonitrile. The glove may include an antimicrobial agent.

Abstract: A multi-function cap intended to be worn over hair on the head of a wearer including a closable opening to accommodate a bundle of hair passing through the opening. The size of the closable opening is adjustable with an invisible zipper that also closes the opening when it is desired to have a hair bundle tucked under the cap with no visible hair opening or zipper teeth being displayed.

Abstract: A placket straightener device for minimizing buckling, gapping, or puckering of the overlapping placket panels on the ends of a shirt, such as a woman's blouse, when the fasteners, such as snap buttons or buttons with buttonholes, are fastened together. The device may be placed inside of the placket panel(s) or the device may be placed between two overlapping placket panels between the closed fasteners. The placket straightener device maintains a predetermined distance between the closed fasteners of the shirt thereby reducing buckling, gapping and puckering.

Abstract: A quilt-style sleeping bag including clip, buckles, snaps, hook and loop material, buttons or any other suitable attachment means secured with the bag proximate the left and right longitudinal edges of the bag that are adapted to cooperatively couple with a cord, strap, string, rope or cable (hereafter collectively referred to as “cords”) that extends widthwise across a sleeping pad is described. The clips in conjunction with the complimentary cords permit a user to secure the left and right edges of the bag to the top side of the sleeping pad and furthermore, hold the edges of the bag against the top side of the sleeping pad. Accordingly, the ability of the edges to lift up and permit cold air to enter the interior volume of the bag and the pad combination is minimized, despite normal movements of a user during sleep.

Abstract: A system of interchangeable specialized tabletops for medical imaging, such as tomographic imaging, is constructed with features that permit improvements in patient imaging and treatment specific to a particular anatomy of interest. Such features include cutaways, holes and removable structures, ramps and integrated devices that allow access to tissues for intervention or imaging under multiple imaging modalities. Such features are also integrated, which aids in the positioning and immobilization of patient tissues and devices relative to those tissues. Structures and methods optimally use multiple tabletops with minimal space requirements, and of show medical imaging uses involving the storage of multiple tabletops.

Abstract: A Nursing Breast Support Pillow (referred to as—“support pillow”) is made of washable polyfill material, and is covered with a soft, washable fabric. The support pillow is designed to assist in breastfeeding a child by supporting the breast. The support pillow's longest side is placed underneath the breast, and the shortest side is placed next to the arm corresponding to the breast with which the child will be feed. This allows the woman to breastfeed without constantly supporting and readjusting the breast to keep it aligned with the child. The support pillow supports the breast and directs the nipple upward to enable proper breast and nipple positioning allowing the baby to latch onto the nipple for breastfeeding. The support pillow offers breastfeeding assistance. It is portable, washable and easy to use.

Abstract: A drying mat for babies comprising of a pad, a pad cover and a removable cloth cover, which absorbs moisture from the body of the baby and provides a comfortable place for the baby to lie on while being dried with a towel after a bath. Should the baby soil one side of the removable cloth cover, the side in use is folded upward to contain the soiled side. The mat is turned over and the unsoiled side is used. The removable cloth cover is removed from the pad and pad cover and washed.

Abstract: A body support having a number of fluid cells received within respective apertures in one or more layers of foam is described and illustrated. In some embodiments, the fluid cells are in two or more different groups, each of which can be selectively inflated and deflated to increase or decrease pressure against a user's body at different locations across the body support. Each of the fluid cells in each group can be individually surrounded by foam, can be covered by a layer of foam, and can be separated from other fluid cells in the same group by one or more fluid cells from another group. Accordingly, in some embodiments, the cells of one group can be inflated and deflated while or after the cells of another group are deflated and inflated, respectively, to reduce the opportunity for pressure points to generate discomfort of the user.

In one tool function mode leading-edge portions of the planar members are sized and shaped to align and rotate within a conical recess of a first irrigation-related product and facilitate engagement of the screw adjustment member with an upper end of an adjustment screw centered within the conical recess. In other functional modes, the planar members are sized and shaped for insertion through an adjustment port of a spring-loaded slidably-positionable member of a second irrigation-related product to pull the member outward to a desired degree and/or make water emitting adjustments interiorly within the product.

Abstract: An inline washing system to be formed from a tunnel-type washing machine (10) which both rinses and removes water from the items of laundry. However, rinsing and simultaneously also water removal can also be performed in the downstream spin-dryer (18) or water-removal press. It has been found that the rinsing performance is better and fresh water can be saved on account of the invention. By virtue of the invention, it is possible to wash relatively small amounts of laundry using a tunnel-type washing machine (10) in an economical manner. The tunnel-type washing machine (10) can be designed to be shorter and also simpler if it is designed without a rinse zone.

Abstract: Systems and methods for applying markings to an article are disclosed. One aspect comprises providing a dye pad shaped to correspond to a desired marking; applying an infusion dye to the dye pad; applying an activation solution to the infusion dye, thereby forming an infusion dye mixture; placing the dye pad in contact with a discrete area of an outer surface of the article; leaving the dye pad in contact with the outer surface of the article under room temperature and pressure, for a duration sufficient to allow the infusion dye mixture to open a polymeric structure of a material of the outer surface and to allow the infusion dye to penetrate the outer surface and form the desired marking within a substrate of the article; and removing the dye pad from the outer surface. An infusion dyeing kit and method for supplying a kit are also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention provides a process for aminoarylating cellulosic materials such as cotton and reconstituted fibres and a process for treating the aminoarylated cellulose with an effect chemical such as a dye, flame retardant or cross linking agent. Improved take up of the effect chemical by the modified cellulose means increased efficiency in the process and in the case of dyeing, avoids or reduces the washing off of hydrolysed dye and the resultant production of large volumes of contaminated water requiring to be treated. The cellulosic material may be present in a blend with other types of fibre for example a blend with poly(alkyleneterephthalates) or polyamides.

Each upstanding wiping member has a free outermost edge that extends upwards substantially from the first surface to the top of the wiping member. A plurality of upstanding arcuate shaped second tooth cleaning elements secured to the head and located outboard of the first tooth cleaning element are also provided. In addition, a plurality of upstanding third tooth cleaning elements are secured to the head and border an edge of the first surface. The third tooth cleaning elements have a circular cross-sectional area.

Abstract: Provided is an interdental brush having a wire and filaments arranged therein by folding the wire and disposing the filaments between the wire and then twisting the wire. The interdental brush has improved filament retention and improved cleaning effectivity and reachability to minute portions. Each of filaments 3 has a polygonal cross section whose at least one corner portion has an interior angle 31 as acute as 30 to 75 degrees. Specifically, an angle ?3 of the acute corner portion 31 is set at 1.2 to 3 times a twisting angle ?4 of the wire. The filaments each have two or more such acute corner portions, and two or more rows of such filaments are disposed and laminated between the wire in a densely arranged manner.

Abstract: Disclosed is a squeegee having a handle with a resilient blade and sponge located at a distal end of the handle. The squeegee blade is set at an angle of less than 90 degrees of the angle formed between the handle and the point of the blade's attachment. This configuration allows the squeegee to work with gravity by preventing the newly cleaned surface from being fouled by used cleaning solution. When used with a tilt window the squeegee pushes the cleaning solution down the tilted surface and with gravity leaving a clean dry surface behind.

Abstract: System(s), method(s), and device(s) that facilitate using an edge component to facilitate waste disposal are presented. An edge component having a top portion and bottom portion formed so as to be in a C-like shape such that the edge component can be attached to a top edge of a side portion of container. The edge component can have an edge portion at the opposite end having a substantially fine edge to facilitate transferring waste from a surface into the container via the edge component when the container is placed on its side portion. In embodiments, the edge component can have side walls that can extend up to a desired height to minimize waste dropping off the side of the edge component; or an attachable portion of the edge component can be flexible such that it can conform to a non-straight shape of a side portion of the container.

The bottom of the driven seat includes a shaft holder made of non-metal material. In mounting the dewatering basket, the driven seat fits from top to bottom over the connection part of the support shaft.

Abstract: A portable air duct cleaning system comprises a cleaning assembly, including a hose, motor and brush; portable power and control box; and remote control. The cleaning assembly may include a vacuum system connected to the hose, having an opening, with a motor driven brush unit positioned near the opening for vacuuming particulate matter dislodged by the brush unit while the brush unit traverses the air duct. The vacuum system may be part of a carpet cleaning system.

The first portion and second portion are connected by the hinge portion, which includes several clockwise rotational pieces and several counterclockwise rotational pieces. The wooden rail unit includes the fixed wooden rail and the moveable wooden rail. With such design, the fixed wooden rail and the moveable wooden rail may be opened and closed.
