Abstract: This invention is a piece of sheet metal bent into a Z shape. It has integral U shaped tabs at each end of the Z shaped clip. The tabs are created by having the bottom portion of the Z extend 6 to 8 inches longer than the middle and top portions. This longer flat portion is then double bent away from the middle portion to form U shaped tabs. The tabs wrap around the two opposing flanges of a steel bar joist, I-beam or H-column and hold the Z shaped clip onto the bar joist, I-beam or column. The Z clip can be installed prior to spray applied fireproofing used in structural steel buildings. It subsequently provides a connection point for metal stud walls and other materials or equipment that need to be supported by the steel structure at a specific distance away from the bar joist, I-beam or column.

If the unit is lowered to a sloped surface, the gauge wheel contacts the surface and prevents the unit from marking or damaging the turf.

Abstract: A regeneration control system for use with a diesel engine having a diesel particulate filter is provided. This regeneration control system utilizes a wide band oxygen sensor placed in the exhaust stream upstream of a regeneration device, as well as an engine speed sensor, to determine when to initiate the regeneration event, and for controlling the regeneration device to ensure proper regeneration of the diesel particulate filter. The after treatment controller utilizes the percent oxygen signal to calculate or otherwise determine the percentage load at which the diesel engine is operating. This information along with the engine speed information allows the after treatment controller to calculate or otherwise determine exhaust parameters necessary for proper control of the regeneration device.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a burner for increasing the temperature of a gas stream, such as an exhaust gas stream, to burn particulate matter and unburnt hydrocarbons within the exhaust gas. As well, by heating or increasing the temperature of the gas stream and combustion products exiting the burner, the gas stream is brought into a condition more suitable for additional treatment to further reduce exhaust gas emissions from the engine. The device includes an outer housing and a series of combustion chambers mounted within the outer housing for increasing and further developing combustion of the incoming gases within the series of combustion chambers. A primary application for the device is for use with diesel engines to burn particulate matter and unburnt hydrocarbons within the diesel emissions and/or act as a heat source for activating diesel particulate filters and/or other catalytic components or devices.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for detecting particles and a particle sensor arrangement. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method and arrangement for detecting particles in a gas flow, e.g. from a diesel combustion engine. The method comprises the steps of; forcing a particle build up on a sensor element of a particle sensor arrangement by regulating the sensor element to a second temperature; wherein the second temperature is lower than a first temperature, the first temperature being the gas flow temperature. Additionally is the particle build up detected at the sensor element by means of a detector. The present invention provides for an accurate method and arrangement to detect and thereby measure particles present in a gas flow, e.g. from a combustion engine.
