Abstract: A new and distinct Floribunda rose plant is provided which forms attractive blossoms having a salmon-orange coloration. The blossoms tend to be substantially uniform in appearance and blossoming is displayed on a substantially continuous basis throughout the season. The plant exhibits strong vegetation, a bushy growth habit, and dark green foliage with a semi-glossy aspect. No particular disease concern has been encountered during observations to date. The attractive dark green foliage contrasts nicely with the intense ocher blossom coloration. The new variety is well suited for growing as attractive ornamentation in parks and gardens.

Abstract: ‘Inored’ is a new apple tree notable for its resistance to scab, and for its high quality fruit. Fruit of ‘Inored’ is highly colored, sweet, and late-maturing and has a long shelf life.

Abstract: A new and distinct Hemerocallis cultivar of the dormant type is provided. The new cultivar is very floriferous and forms attractive ruffled double red flowers displaying substantial substance, and a funnel-shaped form over an extended period of time. In U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zone No. 6b, blooming commonly begins during mid- to late-June and commonly ends during early- to mid-September. The new cultivar displays a plurality of fans and a plurality of scapes per fan. The flowers well withstand rain in view of the strength of the tepals. The new cultivar readily can be distinguished from the ‘Pardon Me’ cultivar (non-patented in the United States) in view of the consistent display of a substantially greater number of tepals per blossom. The new cultivar is particularly well suited for growing as distinctive colorful ornamentation in the landscape.

Abstract: A lighting system includes a central controller and multiparameter lights, including IPLDs. A display of the multiparameter lights at the central controller includes the IPLDs and their image parameters, which are used to evoke a display of graphics tools at the central controller for originating images. Images originating at the central controller are transmitted to the IPLDs either by or under control of the central controller. The graphics tools may also be able to manipulate images. The central controller is provided with one or more image editors, which include the graphics tools. The outputs of the image editors, which are referred to as “image banks,” are routed to multiple multiparameter lights (including IPLDs) in accordance with assignments made by the operator of the central controller. The central controller also uses a collage display screen of a collage generator to allow the operator to select an image to collage.

Abstract: In a system for sharing hybrid resources in an independent network, each one of a plurality of stations preferably employs a sharing authority transferring protocol that allows the network control function to be moved from station to station depending on the network traffic. Although a distributed coordination method is normally used in the network, when an individual station determines that a real-time data stream is intended for the station, an apparatus having a method and data format for the use thereof allows control to be transferred to the targeted station. This allows the targeted station to control the sharing of the wireless hybrid resources using a centralized control method in a direct mode for the duration of the real-time service transmission, thereby optimizing network efficiency. As a result of using the distributed control authority of the present invention, a station may be freely subscribe/withdraw to/from the network.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for compensating audio signals to be recorded on an optical disc to optimize usage of memory in an audio decoding circuit, and to neutralize invalid audio data to produce good audio quality. A determination is made with regard to whether audio data signals contain normal data or invalid data. Invalid data is adjusted into normal audio data, and stored in the memory. The volume of the data stored in the memory is monitored to detect overflow and underflow conditions of the memory, a data transmitting stopping signal being sent during an overflow condition of the memory, a data transmitting requesting signal being sent during an underflow condition. The audio data reproduced from the memory is decoded, and the decoded audio data is output. Undesired errors are prevented by monitoring the reproduced audio data for invalid data and by adjusting invalid data into normal data when detected.

Abstract: Disclosed is a color interpolation method. The present invention decides a precise position of an edge with use of a G value in a unit pixel structure with a size of 3×3, thereby using different color interpolations according to the position of the edge. Also, the present invention provides an effect of emphasizing an edge by emphasizing a brightness and lowering colors when the edge is placed in the vertical center or the horizontal center of the unit pixel structure of 3×3 with use of a property that the edge has stronger brightness than the colors and prevents an incorrect color.

Abstract: The present invention provides materials suitable for use as secondary coatings of optical fibers. According to one embodiment of the invention, a curable composition includes an oligomer and at least one monomer, which when cured forms a cured polymeric material having a Young's modulus of at least about 1200 MPa, and a fracture toughness of at least about 0.7 MPa·m1/2. According to another embodiment of the invention, a coated optical fiber includes an optical fiber; a primary coating encapsulating the optical fiber; and a secondary coating encapsulating the primary coating, the secondary coating having a Young's modulus of at least about 1200 MPa, and a fracture toughness of at least about 0.7 MPa·m1/2.

Abstract: A bone stabilizing apparatus includes a stem member and an extension member, the stem member having a distal end for insertion within the intramedullary canal of a human humerus and the proximal end connected to the extension member. The extension member has radially directed threaded holes either pre-formed or created after the bone stabilizing apparatus is installed into the humerus. The threaded holes allow fixation of stabilizing screws with suture posts, or a washer structure to grip the surface of the bone and/or surrounding ligaments or muscle. A prosthetic or the natural humeral head can be attached to the extension member. In a preferred embodiment a guide structure directs the drill and stabilizing screws radially through the central axis of the extension member.

Abstract: A method and system for allowing a processor or I/O master to address more system memory than physically exists are described. A Compressed Memory Management Unit (CMMU) may keep least recently used pages compressed, and most recently and/or frequently used pages uncompressed in physical memory. The CMMU translates system addresses into physical addresses, and may manage the compression and/or decompression of data at the physical addresses as required. The CMMU may provide data to be compressed or decompressed to a compression/decompression engine. In some embodiments, the data to be compressed or decompressed may be provided to a plurality of compression/decompression engines that may be configured to operate in parallel. The CMMU may pass the resulting physical address to the system memory controller to access the physical memory. A CMMU may be integrated in a processor, a system memory controller or elsewhere within the system.

Abstract: A protective jaw pad for equipment having a shell includes a first resilient shock absorbing member having a sheet portion with a plurality of hollow protrusions, tapering side walls of the protrusions being compressible for absorbing shocks applied to the shell. The pad includes a second resilient shock absorbing member that is either a monolithic block of foam or is made up of a second sheet portion with a plurality of hollow protrusions that are interleaved with the first protrusion. A cover covers either the first or the second shock absorbing member and a plurality of fasteners removably connect the jaw pad to the shell.

Abstract: A protective skirt for use in martial arts provides leg protectors for providing protection to the thighs of the user in the event of a full-forced attack to the thighs. The leg protectors are removable elements allowing the skirt to be used with out the leg protectors. Alternatively, the leg protectors can be integrated with the skirt.

Abstract: Bulletproof vests, body armor, and other tactical vests with quick release buckle mechanisms are described along with methods of their use. The multi-point buckle mechanisms release upon rotating a shaft, allowing the vest panels and straps to fall cleanly to the ground without knocking the wearer off balance. Waist belt clips allow a wearer to put the vest on over his or her head without engaging the emergency release, or the multi-point buckle mechanism can release only the waist straps upon rotating the shaft in the opposite direction. A flap protects the rotatable quick release mechanism from inadvertent activation.

Abstract: A protective sports glove including a contoured wrist cuff that substantially shields a gap defined between adjacent portions of the protective sports glove, such as hand and cuff portions. The contoured wrist cuff and/or the cuff portion can include multiple segments that enable the wrist cuff to flex with a wearer's wrist. The contoured wrist cuff can include a leading edge that contours forwardly adjacent a thumb portion of the contoured wrist cuff and rearwardly across a portion of the radial side of a wearer's hand when the glove is on the wearer's hand. This can allow protection of the wearer's wrist in flexion without also impairing movement of the wearer's wrist.

The hood body defines an interior space for receiving the wearer's head. An outlet is provided for exhausting gas from the interior space of the hood body. The outlet includes a channel defined by first and second portions of the hood body. The channel is in fluid communication with the interior space and includes an open end portion in fluid communication with the environment for exhausting gas from the channel into the environment.

Free ends of the base band of the strap assembly are connected to an elastic ring to form a complete encircling band. The base band has a tail for securing the base band in position on a helmet. The complete encircling band is configured to fit around a soldier's helmet and the elastic ring being configured to fit over and around a night vision goggle mount at a front of the helmet.

The plurality of hooks is attached to an inner wall of the strap, wherein the hooks extend at approximately 45-60 degrees away from the strap. The adjustment buckle is attached to the first end of the strap, wherein the second end of the strap slides through the adjustment buckle to adjust the diameter of the strap.
