Abstract: A method for repairing a compressor blade of a turbine engine, the blade including a cat's tongue at the radial end thereof, the radial extension of which is less than a predefined nominal radial extension. The method includes elongating the cat's tongue via a cold-compacting operation applied to the walls of said tongue, such that the radial elongation thereof becomes greater than the nominal extension. The compacting operation is a roller-burnishing operation carried out by moving the end of the blade between two rollers having rectilinear generatrices and spaced apart by a distance smaller than the thickness of the cat's tongue, along the chord connecting the leading edge with the trailing edge thereof.

The channel blocking frame defines a central opening along a first axis and a pair of opposing apertures along a second axis orthogonal to the first. The deadbolt also defines an aperture or bore extending therethrough for alignment with the frame's opposing apertures when positioned at least partially within the central opening of the channel blocking frame. The pin lock assembly has an elongated shaft dimensioned to extend through opposing apertures of the lock frame and deadbolt thereby entrapping the deadbolt within the channel blocking frame. Enlarged ends of the pin lock assembly prevent unauthorized removal of the pin-lock, the deadbolt, and thus the installed lock assembly from a detachable assembly (e.g., plow). Abstract: In integrated circuit packages, core vias are created to provide electrical connections between circuitry on one face of the core substrate material with circuitry on an opposing face of the core substrate material. Provided are methods for forming a via in a packaging substrate and packaging substrates having core vias formed in the core substrate material. Methods for forma a core via in a packaging substrate in which a first hole is created through the core substrate and filled with a low permittivity filler material. A second co-axially aligned hole is then created in the low permittivity filler material wherein the second hole is smaller in diameter than the first hole. The second hole is then filled with conducting material to provide a conducting via through the core substrate material.

Abstract: The water heater (2) or steam generator comprises a chamber (4) in two sections (5, 6) formed in particular by stamping. Inside this chamber a heating element (8) is arranged, which has a spiral-shaped main section (10) and two end sections (11, 12) passing through two circular openings of the chamber. The two end sections are welded to the chamber by a laser beam such that the weld obtained is continuous and ensures a good mechanical fixture of the heating element and an adequate tightness for the water heater or steam generator. For this purpose, a flange (18) is arranged at the periphery of each opening. Moreover, the two sections of the chamber have a widened edge (28) to allow them to be welded effectively.

Abstract: Techniques involving a kicker assist mechanism and other functionality are described. In one or more implementations, the techniques describe a device that includes a lever coupled to a stop-pin and configured to cause deployment of a blade from a handle of a folding knife. The lever may be configured to pivot about the stop-pin in response to a push or pull force directed at one end of the lever and engage the blade with an opposing end of the lever with a force to cause the deployment of the blade. The blade may be configured to deploy in a pivotal movement from a closed position of the folding knife to a deployed position in response to the force employed by the opposing end of the lever.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a folding knife having a blade pivotally connected to a handle. A resilient locking arm has a first end fixed inside to the handle and a second end extending slantingly toward the blade when the blade is received in the handle. A positioning plate is movably positioned in the handle, and has a first end extending outside to the handle. Once the blade is received in the handle, the positioning plate engages with the resilient locking arm. However, when the blade is rotated out of the handle completely, the second end of the resilient locking arm presses against the end of the blade in a locked position, and thereby the positioning plate disengages with the resilient locking arm and presses against the resilient locking arm to avoid the blade from being out of the locked position and rotated into the handle.
