Abstract: Provided is a flexible display apparatus that includes: a flexible display apparatus including: a flexible display panel; a housing including an opening through which the flexible display panel enters and exits the housing; a cylinder disposed within the housing to coil and uncoil the flexible display panel; and a stretcher that selectively extends from the opening to support the flexible display panel, such that the flexible display panel is substantially planar when the flexible display panel is extended outside of the housing.

Abstract: A sign mounting adapter system includes a hitch extension tube. A sign orientation post connected and oriented perpendicular to the hitch extension tube has a longitudinal axis. A sign support post is axially and rotatably received on the sign orientation post. The sign support post has a longitudinal axis co-axially aligned with the sign orientation post longitudinal axis, and a receiving bore perpendicular to the sign support post longitudinal axis. Multiple orientation bores extend through the sign orientation post, each oriented at a first angle to proximate orientation bores and perpendicular to the orientation post longitudinal axis. A retention assembly is releasably and co-axially received in the receiving bore and one of the orientation bores. The retention assembly releasably connects the sign support post to the sign orientation post to permit selection of a sign support post axial angle of rotation to the sign orientation post.

Abstract: The present invention provides a portable multi-purpose sign and device having a housing with a proximal end and a distal end, a support member positioned on one side of the housing, a collapsible tripod assembly pivotally attached to the proximal end of the housing, a cover having substantially the same shape and configuration as the housing and pivotally attached to the proximal end, and a removable display device removably mounted on the support member and stored between the housing and the cover in a collapsed configuration. The collapsible tripod assembly further includes a plurality of leg extensions pivotally attached one to another and nestable within one another in a collapsed configuration to house within the housing.

Abstract: A collapsible and deployable sign system includes a support tube and a sliding member longitudinally slidable on the support tube. A handle is rotatably connected to the support tube and rotatably linked to the sliding member such that rotation of the handle slidably displaces the sliding member with respect to the support tube. A bracket assembly is fixed to the support tube. At least one scissoring assembly including first and second scissoring links is rotatably connected together by a rotational fastener. The first scissoring link is rotatably connected to the bracket assembly and separately to a corner brace member. The second scissoring link is rotatably connected to the sliding member and separately to the corner brace member. Handle rotation moves the sliding member toward the bracket assembly moving the corner brace member from a stowed condition proximate the support tube away from the support tube to a deployed condition.

Abstract: A method for promoting individual support, affiliation or allegiance, including printing a message on an elastic loop, wherein the message is decompressed and fully legible when the elastic loop is stretched and wherein the message is compressed and not fully legible when the elastic loop is unstretched, and distributing the elastic loop to a wearer. The elastic loop is sized to be stretched when worn on the wearer's wrist, such that the message is expanded into an uncompressed and legible configuration.

Abstract: A manual open bottom shelf allocation and management system for allocating shelf space among rows of products and for moving the rows of products toward the shelf front includes a plurality of adjacent shelf allocating and managing units. Each unit includes a pair of side dividers extending away from a backstop defining an open bottom, wherein at least one row of products may be positioned on the shelf between and laterally supported by the side dividers. Each unit is manually movable to advance products toward the front of the shelf. The side dividers of two adjacent units may be in vertical alignment with one another. A shelf ready packaging unit incorporates a row of products and a shelf allocation and management system and packaging material coupling the shelf allocating and managing unit and the at least one row of products together at least for shipping and stocking.

A display device according to the present invention includes: a display panel including a display area and a non-display area; and a cover window positioned at the front side of the display panel and including a transparent area corresponding to the display area and a non-transparent area corresponding to the non-display area, wherein the cover window includes a cover window main body formed with the transparent area and the non-transparent area, and a transparent protection layer formed at the front surface of the cover window main body. The transparent protection layer extends to the rear surface corresponding to at least a portion of the non-transparent area of the cover window main body.

The actuating element consists of a cocking slide that can be displaced between a lower relaxed position and an upper tensioned position on the rear side of the breech block.

A transfer member is received in the second passage and a retaining member is received in the third passage. A firearm is also disclosed that has a receiver extension. The firearm buttstock can be supported on the firearm such that the receiver extension is received within the first passage. A method of assembling a firearm buttstock assembly is also included.

In one embodiment, an apparatus for attracting aquatic animals includes a submersible speaker adapted to emit a pre-recorded sound for attracting an aquatic animal. The pre-recorded sound includes tactile sound. The apparatus also includes a controller in communication with the submersible speaker. The controller is adapted to be coupled to an above-water portion of a boat. The controller includes a user interface comprising one or more user-selectable options. The controller is adapted to send a signal to the submersible speaker in response to detecting a selection of one of the user-selectable options, and the submersible speaker emits the pre-recorded, sound in response to receiving the signal.

Abstract: A fish holding device for culling fish has a forward section with an upper member and a lower member and a spring located therebetween having sufficient biasing force for maintaining the lip of a fish between the ends of the upper and lower member when the holding device is in the closed position. The holding device further comprises a rear section for locking the holding device in the closed position. The rear section is connected to the lower member of the forward section and is rotatable between a non-locking position and a locking position over the upper member of the forward section. When the lip of a fish is secured between the upper and lower members of the forward section the rear section is in position over and secured to the upper member of the forward section, the holding device is locked in place on the fish.

Abstract: An insect trap (100, 100?) and lighting device (200, 250, 300) for an insect trap suitable for trapping light-attracted insects, in particular indoor nuisance insects that overwinter indoors, including true bugs, lady beetles, and flies. The lighting device may be attached to the base or the top of the trap, and includes light-emitting elements that are directed towards the trap, and are configured to lure target insects toward the trap entryway. In an embodiment, the trap includes an entrapment chamber (102) with an internal cone (110) with an opening at both ends, and a collar over a distal end. A vanes assembly (160) extends toward entryways. In an embodiment, the light fixture comprises a cap that fits over the trap and directs light into the trap through the entrapment chamber wall. The lighting elements may be selected to emit light in a narrow band selected to attract the target insect.

The outer wall and the inner wall each have an interior and exterior surface, the interior surface of the inner wall and the exterior surface of the outer wall have a first texture, and the exterior surface of the inner wall and the interior surface of the outer wall have a second texture, the first texture being more coarse than the second texture.

The housing includes an inlet at the first end configured to intake ambient air and an outlet extending radially through the sidewall adjacent the second end. A fan within the housing includes blades and a motor. The blades are located between the motor and the inlet, and the motor configured to rotate the blades to move the ambient air from the inlet toward the second end of the housing. A plurality of heating elements are mounted within the housing at a radial position that is adjacent the sidewall and at an axial position that is near the outlet. A controller is configured to control the fan and the plurality of heating elements to produce outflow of heated air from the outlet with a predetermined temperature and for a duration sufficient to eradicate insects.

Abstract: More stable and valuable bio-oil produced from biomasses are provided. More specifically, more stable and valuable bio-oil useful as heating oil is provided. Particularly, various embodiments of the present invention provide for a bio-oil having sufficient heating value and stability to be useful as heating oil without the need to hydrotreat the bio-oil or use a similar deoxygenating process.

Abstract: A fuel composition contains a liquid fuel and a specific amount of nano-sized zinc oxide particles and a surfactant that does not contain sulfur atoms. The nano-sized zinc oxide particles can be used to either improve combustion or increase catalytic chemical oxidation of fuel.

Abstract: More stable and valuable bio-oil compositions produced from biomasses are provided. Particularly, various embodiments of the present invention provide for a bio-oil composition that has chemical and physical properties that make it more cost effective and useful as a fuel without having to undergo deoxygenating processes such as hydrotreating.

Abstract: A method of processing a biomass fuel compact is provided that includes combining a composition of combustible biomass materials, comminuting the composition of biomass materials, adding an adhesive to the biomass materials to form a composite biomass, the adhesive having a starch and a hydroxide, forming the composite biomass into a shapeform, and heat treating the composite biomass shapeform at a base temperature sufficient to break O—H bonds, the base temperature being below a mean torrefication temperature of the composite biomass such that torrefaction of a substantial portion of the biomass materials does not occur.

Abstract: A process for reclaiming food-contaminated solid waste streams from fast food restaurants, casual dining restaurants, cafeterias, schools, colleges and universities, concession stands, arenas, stadiums, movie theaters, large city street trash bins and other entertainment venues, and other places that offer simple food items for dine in or carry-out that are currently sent to a land fill. The inventive process offers total solid waste reclamation with zero waste water discharge, zero landfill and minor source air emissions, resulting in 100% reclamation and a 100% sustainable process. This process can also be used on solid waste from reclamation centers and manufacturers who currently land fill their waste.

The second open-top container is coupled to the first open-top container along the lateral perimeter of the first open-top container. Additionally, the first open space is isolated from the second open space to prevent contents in the first open space from mixing with contents from the second open space.

The first angle is smaller than the second angle.

Abstract: A gardening assembly apparatus having a modular flexible sheet of material with one or more top and bottom pre-cut slots on the flexible sheet of material. The slots may be used to connect parts of the flexible sheet of material in the assembly of the gardening assembly apparatus. Both top and bottom pre-cut slots may be positioned at certain predetermined lengths and/or reciprocally positioned in relation to one another along the length of the flexible sheet of material. The top and bottom pre-cut slots may be measured at half the height of the flexible sheet of material and may be configured to accommodate multiple connections which would allow for modular connections. The positions of the top and bottom slots, along with the numerous connections made, provide for a variety of gardening assembly apparatus configurations for each gardening application.

Also provided are methods of propagating grass plants, including those of family Poaceae, such as the sterile grass plant Arundo donax, by treating the mature or immature stems of these plants with growth-enhancing compositions to stimulate the development of roots and shoots from meristematic tissues.

Plant container and canopy training rack are specifically designed to maximize fruit or vegetable production from a plant, where maximization is done through setting the size and shape of the canopy and root systems of the plant. Further, plant container and canopy training rack are design to create a plant that is sized to be about the maximum size plant that can be easily managed and moved by one average sized adult person. Canopy training rack is reversibly and rigidly attachable to the plant container. The invention provides the capability to grow plants in an area that is without access to ground soil, such as a balcony, porch, patio, sidewalk, deck, or other. Invention does not include soil or growing material. Invention does not include a light source so the plant must be placed in a sunny area or other lighted area in order for the plant to grow.

Abstract: Synclastic hollow core building panels are employed to form dome-like structures. The synclastic curve allows the panels to be lightweight, yet capable of carrying the weight of the structural loads. When combined, the panels create a sphere or a section of a sphere for enclosing space, with optional egress, skylight, and foundation portals incorporated into the structure without disturbing the spherical curvature of the interior or exterior surfaces. The spheres or sphere sections require no additional framing; the panels themselves are the frame. Workers with only the basic assembly skills can construct a sphere or sphere sections using these panels.

The shielding system includes shielding modules in abutment around the periphery of the field, each module including an upright member and a horizontal member. The upright member is curvilinear and projects inward toward the field, while the horizontal member is generally planar, mounted at the lower end of the upright member, and it also projects inward. The upright member and the horizontal member define a closed trap zone. An impinging airstream encounters the convex upwind side of the shielding system and is lifted over the field. At the downwind side of the shielding system, the airflow pressure against the closed trap zones produces a region of high pressure, deflecting the airflow over the downwind side of the shielding system.

Each bar has angularly grooves which are shaped to mold the bent portions to a required bent shape. The holder is indexed along it axis and removed when full for curing the resin on the holder while the body remains wrapped thereon.

Abstract: A walkway path is produced by a process that includes positioning a plurality of form members over a roofing membrane assembly to define an interior area. A curable composition is applied over the roofing membrane assembly and within the interior area. The curable composition cures to form a seamless protective layer providing a walkway path over the membrane assembly. A non-slip particulate may be spread over the curable composition while it is not yet completely cured.

Abstract: An exemplary stair nosing assembly comprises an elongated base, a plate adhered to the base, and a cover temporarily covering the base and the plate. The base has at least one anchor portion extending downwardly from the upper portion for attaching to a lip of a tread pan and/or embedding in a concrete tread. The plate can have various features to enhance traction and visibility. The cover has front and rear lips that engage with front and rear edges of the base, and a weakened region adjacent the rear lip. When the assembly is embedded in a concrete tread, the cover is configured to fracture at the weakened region when the front lip of the cover is lifted upward from the base, leaving the rear lip remaining embedded in the concrete and allowing the rest of the cover to be removed to expose upper surfaces of the base and plate.
